iyaaliyah: Goodmorning. Pls help look into this bugdet/breakdown.. pls criticise and contribute. So my friend earns 230k/month. (468£) She lives with her parent. Doesn't really spend her salàry except on fuel on weekends. She goes with staff bus. So she hardly touches salary. She had a small hair unregistered business (another bank account) but not regular income. Closing balance in salary account at this morning is 1,130m.(2,304£) She wants to spend 5nights in London. proposed bugdet is as follows: 1. Hotel (kessington&Chelsea)...105£(domitory of 8beds) 2. Flight .................................541£ ethiopian 3. Transportation ................. 20£ oyster card 4. Sightseeing .................. 70£ (some r free) 5. Breakfast/dinner. ........ (hotel comes with free breakfast n dinner 6. Lunch..........................20£ 6. Shopping ..................... 100£ Total. ........................................856£
Itininery proposed after research I came up with: Aŕrives London on the 21st @6.35am Settles in and rest till 2pm 3pm .......walks round the neighbourhood to earls court station that's close to hotel to the city to get oriented with the environ.(day 1) Day 2.....go to see London eye + river cruise +madam toussand.....we got this combo @31£ Day 3.....visit to trafalgar square and all the free attraction sites close around, lounge around n take tons of pics. Go clubbing after Day 4.....(sat) spend the day to see house of parliament, Westminster Abbey and Hyde park., takes london bus to see London at night Day 5.....(sun) church service @Westminster Abbey, light shopping....goes back early so she can park for departure Day 6.....(mon)...leaves early to burkingham palace to go see changing of the guard....(hotel check out time is 3.30pm) We hope she gets back to the hotel by 2pm so she can check out and heads to airport. Flight is 9pm.
Pls who is familiar with this oyster card. Is 20£ reasonable for 5days t get her to the stated attractions? Is 20£ for lunch reasonable?
Pls help us scrutinize this if there is anything I missed out. Thanks in advance. Surely your friend has to register to ask this question herself , you have asked several questions previously on her behalf so its important that she register to help herself |

Olowogbogboro17: My uncle's passport.
Yes, i did, Paid in 500k (cost of my trip) from my Standard Chatered account and this was explained in the cover letter The refusal letter made it pretty clear why you were refused, you paid money into your salary account which is not your salary and did not submit evidence to backup the 1Million naira you inherited from your late father. If you want to reapply you have to address those issues. |

Cynthia1722: Thank you for the response, I had already gone through the pages of their sight before now, my actual question is do you think with my story I have the chance of getting the marriage/ civil partnership visa since I have lived in the UK before? Have you seen anybody in this situation and finally with the way I put cash in my account would it be considered as money lodgement. Thanks once again. Your lawful stay in the UK is an advantage if you submit a watertight application, the financial requirement is not on you, its on your fiance to meet but if you are submitting any bank statement make sure you explain the source of money on it with evidence. Since the 700K was given to you by your fiance you need to present evidence of the transfer else it will be considered as money lodgment |

Yababoy: I appreciate the great job being done on this thread by the likes of Justwise who has been of immense help to me since 2011. I just completed a Masters from the UK in September 2017 and I left the UK almost immediately to discuss some employment offers in Nigeria, one of which I eventually took. At that time I wasn't particularly interested in looking for a company to Sponsor my Tier 2 applications as I considered it too be a long process. However, I have recently heard that the Post Study Tier 2 visa route will be re-opened from the 11th of January. I will like to know if it will still be possible for me to apply for the Tier 2 Post Study Visa from Nigeria given that my Tier 4 actually expires this month. Never heard of that before, though you can apply for Tier 2 general visa from Nigeria if you get a job in the UK and the company is willing to sponsor you. |

Cynthia1722: Hello Justwise , please I would love to seek an advice from you, I finished my masters from the UK and returned in September 2017, my tier 4 visa was valid till October 3 so no overstay, I was in the UK for 20months, I have a valid US visa (though not used yet) and I also visited 3 shenghen countries (Amsterdam,Paris & Milan) during my time of study in the UK. But my problem now is my wedding is in June 2018 and I want to travel to the UK for just one month, initial plan was to apply for a visitors visa and just go and do my prewedding shoot / get some wedding things and after marriage my fiancé applies for me as his dependant but we just found out that I cannot be in the UK while he is applying. So we decided to do a registry marriage when I go over, so when I leave in March he would apply for me and we go back together after wedding. After searching online I found out I can’t do a registry marriage with a standard visitors visa but rather a marriage/civil partnership visa, please I would love to get advice on the possibility of getting that visa also I would like to state that I am applying in February, my fiancé put in some money in my account putting in 700k into my account I also had 300k before then, though I am not working for now but I run an online hair business on Instagram and they have been an in and out flow of money from my account since August and after my return. I would also be submitting an invitation letter and statement of account from my fiancé as my sponsor together with my own statement of account for the application. Also my fiancé came visiting in November 2017. I would really appreciate any idea or contribution to avoid any mistake or refusal of my application. Thanks in advance. What is your fiance's status in the UK? |

Now the problem is do I need to summit my payslip too? Cos one I'm a self employed doing business in Nigeria and I don't have salary since I'm a businessman. Please can she take care of the sponsorship? No you don't need to do that. |

bambash: Good morning Justwise,
I might as well give it another try before I write to the MP as Ekpotek suggested. For your information the last child is also British, and it is stated that they will be travelling together to visit. I hope they wont believe she wants to take him to stay too? Also, what do you think about her applying for 2 yrs and not 6 months? I read somewhere that if you have a genuine reason for entering the UK often that you can do so. What can be more genuine than what we have at hand? Your thoughts please.
Thanks Yes if you have genuine reason for applying for two years visa you can do that but personally i will go for 6months if this is her first application else go for 2yrs. If they can get a letter from the MP quicker it will be an added advantage. |

ekpotek: According this document see section 7
https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/636618/Appendix_FM_1_7_Financial_Requirement_Final.pdf
The cash saving y requirement is (X-£1600) /2.5 = y So to meet the £18,600 (y) financial income amount by cash saving only you would need a cash saving (x) of minimum of £62500.
That is (£62500 - £16000) /2.5 = £18600
So when home office say above £16000. It is actually deceptive and does not mean that you have met the financial requirement if you have a cash saving of £16100, unless you are combining cash saving with other sources of income. I stand to be corrected. Nah! who in his right mind expect somebody to have £62500 saved up for spouse visa application? That was an example and they gave other examples regarding using cash savings see my attachment If you are earning £18,600 gross salary you have met financial requirement when no child is involved, even the £18600 was challenged in court though the govt won but an adjustment was made meaning that a 3rd party can no contribute to help an applicant meet financial requirement.

ekpotek: Home office have one goal: To reduce net immigration into the UK. You could relocate to the UK but you will need to apply for a spouse visa for your wife and meet the financial income requirement of £18,600 per annum or £62,000 cash in savings. This stuffs are not easy for spouse living and working outside the UK. Unless your wife circumstances changes she will always be refused. That is the home office rule irrespective of your nationality. Not that much, it's £16,000 if no child is involved, if the children are British then there is no additional financial requirement. |

2. Does US share data with UK. The question in the form where it's asked if you have been denied visa to any country. My friend feels it's not necessary to say she hasn't been denied. I feel it's right to say the truth that she has been denied. 3. The question: do you have another income or any saving, my friend has another small business apart ftom her constant salary. its not registered and money isn't constant and the closing balance can't even be up to 100k. Can she answer this as savings or other income? Pls help. @justwise 1. Doesn't matter 2. Your friend will learn from experience when she earns herself 10yrs ban. 3. bambash: Good morning Justwise,
Please find below the list of documents submitted
1. Our bank statements 2. Kids school documents 3. Printed whatsapp chats between wifey and the kids 4. Kids birth certificates 5. My brothers wife's Resident Permit 6 Data page of our British Passports (mine, my brothers and the kids) 7. My payslip 8. Letter of Introduction from my place of work 9. My land documents 10. Letter of invitation 11. Bills and letters written to my brother as proof of address The list you submitted is good I guess you did not add additional document explaining your wife's situation properly. Her chances of getting a visa is high if you reapplied and explain things better. Your wife will not leave a young kid back in Nigeria to run off to live in the UK. She is a homemaker and not expected to have a lot of money running in her account. Take your time and explain things in a separate paper in support of her application. |
