Good day house, I just picked up my passport and I got ban for 10yrs due to my document. My question is can I apply for Indonesia and how do I lift this ban. 10yrs is far coz the document they call fake is not fake.
If the document is real as you claimed then write them with a proof to back up your claim else the 10yrs ban stands.

please HELP! my cousin has an invitation letter and wishes to apply for Visa to attend 2-day Conference in Toronto and will be sponsored by her company. She has travel history and sufficient funds.
My questions are:
Amongst other documents;
1. I know she requires either a sponsorship letter or Introduction Letter or both? Can either one replace the other?
2. What is the limited number of pages for the letter?
3. What other documents do you think she should add?

Please kindly advise me of other ideas. *fingers crossed*

Thank you!
1. She can get both

2. It doesn't matter.

3. Letter from her company(detailing her position and how the conference will be beneficiary to the company) , her employment letter, conference details, her bank statement and payslips(As a home tie)

1.Is this the first time her company is sending somebody for such conference?

2. Well known company?

3. Does she have travel history?

4. On a good or above salary?

one more question, his salary is being paid into his account through cash deposit, hope its not an issue & it reflect on his statenent of acct.

thank u once again.
Probably but he will be banned for 5yrs for misrepresentation(lying about the UK refusal)

If the monthly salary reflects in his bank account then no problem but he also need to explain that he gets paid by cash.

Wow! Things are changing by the day.
It was also on this thread, part 10 or so, that I saw an infant's refusal. VO wrote PA approved as she seems a genuine student and primary purpose of going to Canada is for study and not babysitting. The baby's application was denied.

I think she was not elaborate enough as to how her children will be taken care of in her absence and concentrated more on why she wasn't going with them. My 2cents though
Explain to me how she will be able to explain to the VO that 4 and 2 yrs old kids will be taken care of in her absence,

The husband will stay home to look after them or a family member?

This is not a month or two thing but at least a year long thing.

Untrue. I know a good number of people who were in the US and had walked up to Canadian border to claim asylum and have been granted refugee status in Canada.
You can claim asylum at any port of entry at the border ONLY if you have a family member (brother, sister, son, parents, uncle ) living in Canada.
However, this year, the gouvernement is allowing people who have no family members in Canada to make asylum claim at the border. I am not sure if they can do that at any point of entry or just specific port of the border. A lot of Haitians have flooded Quebec this year this way coming from the US.

If he enters Canada illegaly, chances are the Canadian Gouvernment will find out that he was in the US through his fingerprints and this can damage his credibility if he didn't disclose his trip to the US in his application. The two gouvernements share data.

Oh My Gosh. Please house i just found myself in a situation i cant believe.

I am applying for myself and my son.
I have sent the first application which contains my information i have done biometrics and application starts pocessing today

Now I didnt see the part where I have to include my son application so i was thinking i need to open a separate account for him and fill in his own application which will contain his own birth cert, his passport foto and letter of consent

Surprisingly, i noticed that I could actually have included him with my own app if i had answered the wizard come to Canada questionnaire correctly which asked about family members

God, please house should i still proceed with opening a different sign In key for my son

this will mean my son will have his own separate application number

Or is there a way I can link the applications to be one, or Am I even still on track by opening a separate account to proceed with his own application

Please i need your urgent feedback ohh, the experience in the house
Since you have sent the application and do the biometric you have no other option now than to start a fresh application for your son then attach a letter explaining your mistake. Hopefully the embassy will treat both applications the same time.

I want to be able to concentrate fully on my studies hence my reason for leaving them behind. I'm also using a sponsor and its not logical having someone sponsor my kids and I.
What do u advise?
The wellbeing of your kids comes first and in Canada and other western worlds children wellbeing are a priority.

Your ambition to pursue your education in detriment of your young kids is actually wrong. At this age they need you more than anyone else and no matter how high you attend in terms of education and career if you are not there for those kids at this tender age then those achievements means nothing.

No matter how ambitious you are if you don't factor-in your kids in your planing then you haven't started.

Tell me this..what will happen if you don't travel to Canada now for studies? Will you lose your job? Starve or unable to look after your family?

Your kids are far too young to be left behind. It's difficult to see why you should be given a visa considering the fact that you are not traveling with them

Hello house....pls i have been refused twice at the UK embassy first last year cos i previously spent 8 weeks while serving(nysc) and d money in my acct wasnt enuff...secondly dis year august becos i got some credit transfer and i didnt acct for it....now i want to re-apply.what are the things u will advice i work on this time?another issue is, i have a relative there and he has applied for naturalization, is it possible they knw he is my relative? Cos i am presenting him as my sponsor here ...and i dnt want mine to affect his naturalization.
You should be able to show that you can sponsor yourself without your relative contribution.

Your first refusal will also surface unless you have been able to explain when you stayed 8wks in the UK during that period.

So things you need to work on is..

1. Proof that you have the means to sponsor yourself through evidence of salary earned or income from business

2. Address the two previous refusals

3. If the person in the UK is your relative then declare that and if he will be sponsoring you he has to send his bank statement, payslips and proof of accommodation. This is just bonus but ultimately you have to show the ECO that you can sponsor the trip and whatever contribution your relative in the UK makes towards your trip is a bonus.

Does he have the UK birth certificate?

Hello house, kudos to all the contributors in here
Experts in the house please help review my GCMS notes and advise on the way forward. I couldn't upload it so I will quote verbatim;

"Applicant has not provided compelling reason for study in Canada. Unclear why applicant would incur cost of relocating to canada rather than undertake a similar course in current country of residence, which would also not require her leave her spouse and two young children. PA does not appear to have previously travelled to canada and has very limited other travel. I am not satisfied she is a genuine student who will abide by the terms of the visa and leave at the end of her stay. Application refused."

Seems my strongest point (family ties) is working against me here
What is your profile like and what was your explanation in SOP for taking that course in Canada?

Good day all.
Pls I need your kind suggestions and contributions to these questions.
My husband want to submit online application for a tourist visa to Canada. He will be staying for 9days in hotel. His monthly salary is 290k n it reflect on his account.
These are the documents he wish to submit:
Letter of intro from company, Employment letter, Leave letter, promotion leter, Statement of Acct with bal of 900k, 4mnts pay slip, marriage & birth Cert of our son, family pics, Consent letter written by me, Letter of Explanation, Education Certificate, Reg Survey of his land, Deed of Agreement, recommendation letter from former employer, copy of expired visa to SA, Malaysia, Myanmar, Hotel & flight booking.

These are my questions:
1. Any addition or subtraction to d above documents?
2. He was banned for UK visa in 2006 for false documentation thru a travel agent; should he indicate it in his Canada application, hope it will not affect his chances?
3. is d required passport foto d same as that of US?

I welcome everyone's response particularly the gurus.

Cc: Justwise, ladylco, Overlord77,Awelekiti,
Those two items in bold are unnecessary, no need adding them.

1. 6 months bank statement and payslips are always encourage for visa application

2. Not declaring previous visa refusal or ban to any country is misrepresentation and it carries 5yrs ban if found out, so the choice is yours.

3. No idea but the requirement will be stated on Canadian embassy website.

2. He was banned for UK visa in 2006 for false documentation thru a travel agent; should he indicate it in his Canada application, hope it will not affect his chances? i will beg you here PLEASE, he MUST/SHOULD state his UK refusal, he can state the year and indicate incomplete documentation as the reason

3. is d required passport foto d same as that of US? he can use date as long as its digital. i used same for my parent since it was digital and it was ok

All the best
You are encouraging somebody to tell the truth and at the same time teaching the same person how to lie?

The reason why he was banned is clear so there absolutely no need to encourage the person to lie, incomplete documentation is not an offense that will lead to a ban.

If they want you to fill out only one year, they will ask you to do so. They are law makers or enjoy some knowledge in the law and know how to be specific if they meant so. The question does not ask for one year, it ask for your stay. Why should you assume it is a year they asking for? The school forms filled on an IRCC forms do not fill out for one year. At least mine didn't. They fill for the entire studies. You will be wise to take cues and fill for entire studies. VOs enjoy such discretion to analyze for the entire studies and deny if you can't meet entire studies. It actually makes sense to analyze for entire studies. So going by your analysis, if a VO analyzes for only one year and applicant meets that, the rest of the other years, where do the funds come from? Does an applicant get a pass in demonstrating financial ability for prospective years of study after the first? Certainly not. The entire years of study is what is consonant to the retirements of the law that foreign student show financial ability for their studies.

Ps: the guideline you attached does not purport to say that is how to answer the question in contention by filling one year into the columns for the questions asked. It only says proof of one year is what is required, but VOs must assess for entire studies.
I'm sorry but that is misleading.

You are only required to show financial capability for one academic calendar year and not the entire duration of the course.

Good afternoon House,

Its a great thing going on here and I pray I will be able to benefit from the wealth of experience that is being show cased.

I hold a British Passport but I reside and work here in Naija. I have a wife and 3 kids. The kids of course are also British citizens but wifey isnt.

2 of the kids are presently schooling in the UK while living with my brother (this is known to the UK Govt).

Now my question is this, whats the best way to apply for a visa for my wife so she can go visiting with our last born as often as possible.

She applied for a visa some time back but was refused on the grounds of insufficient information about what she was going to do and her finances. At that time the kids were all here in naija though. I would like to avoid a situation where by the British Authorities will think she will arrive and stay put because she has kids that are citizens. That is the last thing on our mind because we intend to get wifey a resettlement visa when I relocate.
I cant wait to read all the advice that will be thrown at me. Many thanks
She needs to apply for visiting visa and she needs to get her kids schools papers to attach to her application.

Its a standard visiting visa application which also include family visiting.

Are the kids living on their own or with relatives?
