Shawnbose: did you read his post well ?? He said he wants to apply for Tier 2 shortage visa . His wife will definitely be dependant on him on that same visa. Pls get your facts right.. I am in this same situation so I know what I am saying. Brightingsus: What are you talking about though What has tier 2 got to do with the person's situation? The applicant says he is to be married to a British citizen after which he would like to relocate to join her. Settlement visa is for those who are outside UK and have the rights to join their spouses (legally resident in the UK).
You are the one who didn't read the post or the post was ghost mode in your eyes.
The original question was posted by Shilex, talking about a British woman coming over to Nigeria to marry him. Best thing is go to page 327... Brightingsus You said all that's needed |

Shawnbose: . He is not applying for settlement visa, so that's the wrong place to post I made the same mistake and I was refused because I applied under wrong type of visa. He should look for details in regards to TIER 2 visa and Tier 2 dependant visa . You can't apply for a settlement visa cos you are not settled in the uk. Settled pple are those that have British passport, refugees and have indefinite leave to remain. Don't make the same mistake I made . TIER 2 visa and Tier 2 dependant visa ? Are you for real? What has those got to do with spouse visa? |

Ademidun1: Dear great people on this forum, I want to apply for tier 2 visa shortage occupation with my wife as my dependent. We have a 2 year old son, but we do not want to take him along for now. We made the decision because we want to be well settled before we take him there. He will stay with my mum here in Nigeria for now. My questions are: 1. Won't it be a problem that we decided we don't want to take our child with us for now? Won't it raise any eyebrows? 2. Do I need to fill a separate form for my wife, or I'll just mention her in my own form? I'll await your clarifications on these questions. I'm grateful 1. Its not a problem but you need to include his name in that application 2. Yes you have to |

I applied for a visa on the 17th of July for a program I was to attend on the 8th of September(almost 2 months). The Eco called my sponsor on the 5th but I'm yet to get a decision as at date. My question is sd I retrieve my passport for other things or I sd still chill as I heard that I cd still get the visa even though the event date has passed. Since you have waited this long why not see it through? Only if you need your passport for something important then you can withdraw it |

Really want to know if there's actually such a thing as a visa for visitor in transit for me to dash in to the UK and out same day either on my way to North America or on my way back, please. I did read about it somewhere, but I need to understand and be sure how this works. Justwise, frontpagelawyer and others please advise melochic: I did try and it was successful. I just returned from the US last week Tuesday with a Virgin Atlantic ticket via London. I had to wait 15 hours to connect from LHR to LOS. I didn't have UK Visa and decided to apply for entry at the border force. On arrival at LHR I applied for a visa on arrival and was granted entry into the UK for 24 hours. All I showed the immigration officer was my passport, boarding pass/onward ticket to Nigeria. But mind you it is discretionary. DebsMed You got your answer here |

Thanks @ Justwise I just managed to read that attachment now and i can understand why the immigration acted that way, unfortunately you and your hubby made a lot of mistakes. Personally i think you should have your baby in Nigeria and reapply when your baby is old enough to fly. Reapplying now judging by the situation will be a bad idea |

cindylee: Dear all, please I am desperate and been crying since yesterday. I think it was an error or lack of preparation on my part but please don't judge or crucify me. I just need a way forward and I need your advice.
My husband is on a tier 4 doctoral extension scheme. I applied first to join him in April but was denied because we submitted fixed deposit funds instead of liquid cash. We liquidated applied in June but then we were denied again because we didn't submit emails and chats and also tuberculosis certificate .
My husband visited me in nigeria during that period so I got pregnant. We applied again with the tb certificate which was stating that I was pregnant. But on the application form we didn't state the pregnant. I was granted the tier 4 dependent visa and travelled on Wednesday. I was refused entry and put on an airplane back to Nigeria based on the attached. I was told I didn't indicate I was pregnant on the UK application form and secondly I want to use the nhs funds. Then I think I goofed. I stated that I will leave the UK before giving birth that I wouldn't give birth in nigeria.
Please based on the attached letter, what do you guys advise I do? Will I be baned or refused future visas to join my husband? What's the implication? Please I am so desperate and need your advice on way forward.
Thanks all Sorry for the stress you are going through now, how long is your hubby's visa duration? I can hardly read the attachment because of the way up placed it |

wintermom: Hello Everyone,
Thank you for all your contributions. I started reading this thread early Febuary and I must say, I have learnt so much now that I have gotten to the end.
Countless hours of reading, 100 's of screenshots and mails later, 1 burnt pot of stew and burnt fried plantains later, I must say I know many things now.
I would like to ask if mums and dads could give reviews on the hospitals they patronize. Just so it helps one make good choices especially hospitals that have paid for advertisements.
This will help JW get the needed ads. People who have come here for info would want candid reviews on patient care, hospital facility etc.
All I am looking for now is reviews of how this hospitals are. Now that naija mums are flooding thier hospitals we need to know the ones that treat with warmth and satistfaction and the ones that just have big names with nothing to offer.
My 2kobo input based on all I have read.
Thank you to all whose stories have made this thread what it is.
Stripes and stars all the way. It will not, the opposite will be the case as we have seen here in the past. |

DeeTus: There's nothing wrong with it. You shouldn't keep quiet when other people are trying to oppress you. This is particularly why I like myself. I can never experience or suffer from inferiority complex.
The problem here is sometimes some Nigerians don't speak up in a certain situation, they like to pretend as if all is well and later blame it on the country they come from. No country in this world is perfect. America too has its own problem. What exactly are you going on about? Who is oppressing him and in what way? Obviously you do suffer from inferiority complex else people not talking to you shouldn't be seen as an oppression. |

iekene: So I have a question for those who have been in the US for a while :
Is it normal that you are been ostracized by the white folks like your classmates . I am not speaking racism, I have white friends and we talk and discuss on the regular but when it comes to like forming a group or having a partner everyone tries to avoid you.
The latest was on our last field trip. Everyone had sitting partners and I was left to sit alone . Even my "so called friends.
Is this a normal experience or it's just me ? Don't take it personal because it does happen when you are in a new environment, with time you will Begin to get used to them and they will feel more comfortable around you. Many don't warm-up to strangers easily but with time that will change. Keep a positive mind about things like this else you will isolate yourself even more |

DeeTus: These guys aren't better than you. Some of them do smell especially in the winter. Please do not let that bring you down. Just do your thing and strive to achieve excellent results. There is nothing spectacular about whites. When these folks see that you don't give a damn about them, they will come much closer to you. Then you can decide whether to talk to them or not.
This is how you should roll and not the other way round. If possible, get some pretty looking female students by your side. They will feel jealous and want to be your friend.
And finally, talk to your professor but don't use the word "racism". Instead use the word "vibe."
You can say this; I got a weird vibe from my classmates and don't really know what is wrong. Smile a little while saying this and make sure you speak it loud so that everyone in the class will hear it. @iekene think carefully before taking that advice in bold seriously. |

Please this is a public forum and all form of dishonesty should not be encouraged. At best, take it off this forum and do whichever "wuruwuru" practise you want to do. Please "DO NOT STATE IT HERE". This thread might be closely monitored by 'who-knows-who' and even if a poster thinks there's no way CIC might find out he/she posted such illegal intent, what about CIC generally making it hard for Nigerians esp. outlanders by tightening the noose. We no go know say na we use our hand do ourselves Posts about DOB, working experience and a few others, which is what it is really ( because it's either you're 1988 or 1989, you can't choose and "unchoose" birth date, really!) In the previous forum created by Zandora, it started so good and was devoid of all these impurities but towards the later part, an ugly trend of posters started asking for ways to paint white 'black' and sorts. Now it has continued in the forum, and even increasing. It doesn't paint a good picture for newbies to be as honest as possible.
If you feel whatever urge to manipulate, kindly pm whoever to help out with the plan, Please don't state it here. Cheers e-fam! That is also distasteful, this why corruption will never stop in Nigeria. Lets not kid ourselves here, we will pay the price of what we encouraged whether in public or in private. |

Emexnairaland: Justwise please help a brother!
I did posted how my application was refused on 29th june (reasons for my gap study and vague answer given during interview after they delayed my application for 2 months and calling on phone for 2nd interview while I was driving). I made a strong Admin Review report and sent on 18th July to the correct email address written on my refusal letter and I blind copied my 2nd mail just to be sure the AR was sent, of which I was supposed to get an acknowledgement mail from UKVI on receiving my AR report but I didn't get any acknowledgement mail from UKVI till now. I understand that AR takes within 28 days to get a respond but mine is almost over 42 days now and yet nothing from home office. I sent them mail through the enquiry service and I was asked to send my details so they can look into the issue, which I obliged. I waited to get response but yet nothing which made me to follow up the mail by sending them constant reminder mails which they are not replying. An agency resident in UK that helped me got a part scholarship in my intended school in UK has now asked me to fill a protocol form to follow it up which I have not because I don't want anything that will delay me from getting a refund of my tuition deposit fee I made to the school as I am looking forward making a U-turn to US school which have offered me admission for spring intake. Note: My IHS fee have not been refunded since 29th June a decision was made.
@Justwise and other gurus that have been in this system for long, please do you think I should go ahead and fill the protocol form attached below and what do you suggest I do? because even if I choose to make a turn to US, I would like to clear my UK application decision because they treated my application with unfairness. The agent that asked you to complete that form is clueless, he doesn't know the difference between judicial review and administrative review. Really bad that the AR is taking this long but there is nothing much you can do other than to keep waiting or contact them..though not free sadly. |
