ajoke007: Thanks for the explanation. How far ahead can one extend a return ticket? That will depend on your program, you extend it when you know your return date. Probably after your graduation. |

ajoke007: I thought most airlines won't allow you to book return flights later than 9 months from the departure dates. Pls enlighten if i'm wrong. You are probably right but extending a return ticket is cheaper than buying another one way ticket. |

If you observe my trails on nairaland, it's evident that I'm quite loose with words. I'll say the same regardless of race You dented your whole comment with that unfortunate comment, no excuse here. |

pansophist: In every group of people, there will be the black sheep that paints others bad. If you've lived outside Nigeria, you'll begin to learn that the legacy of yahoo boys, scams and negativities of Nigeria follows you when people found out you're Nigerian.
From time to time in clubs during my student years, I'll see all those unfortunate white ladies (the morbidly Obese, ugly, can't find date, baby mamas etc) going for black man because deep down, they are convinced they stand a chance with us, even to a point where some even feel shocked that you rejected them because you know, every black man wished to have a white chick right ? These are the stereotypes guys that does this bequeath on us all.
This is so shameful, it's diffult to see other races of people partaking in this despicable act yet, black men does this a lot. such an handsome boy.
Further proves why lots of people look down on us, due to bad eggs like this one. Pitiful marriage If a white man/woman uses such disgusting language on a blacks many of you here will be up and arms shouting racism. You should know better |

Emmyk: Hello.
I plan doing my MSc program next year at University of Bradford, England.
I went through their website for requirements for International students, I saw something like WAEC.
I want to know if I can use NABTEB result in place of WAEC or to act fast (in case I can't).
Thanks. The school should be in a better position to answer this question |

benugo: Thank you for your response. Yes please, I have the University Fellowships award letters. Total amount captured is ~£35,000/yr which covers tuition fee + maintenance. Then you got nothing to worry about, all you need is that letter + those documents listed in your CAS |

Ellizle: Hi Justwise, Schools hardly provide a separate letter of sponsorship or scholarship as the CAS is the valid document which evidence this. And if you read through different documents about the proper letter to tender based on scholarship, it's been stated that all the student needs to show is their CAS. This CAS should tell if you are fully or partially sponsored and also any amount due to you for maintenance if the school is also sponsoring this. (Could have shown you mine but this is a public forum) That is not entirely true, when you are given a full scholarship that covers not just your fees but maintenance money as well you will have a separate letter from the awarding body apart from CAS. |

benugo: Hi Justwise and colleagues,
I appreciate you all for information shared in this Forum. Please, I intend attending visa interview next week against 18th September travel date to UoBirmingham. My tuition was waved by University (has been captured in CAS since I am on a full scholarship (tuition + maintenance) however, maintenance fee was not captured. I can not access maintenance fund now since I do not have a UK bank account No (a prerequisite).
1. Please how can I go about this? 2. Do I need to show my Nigeria account statement to justify travel and accommodation? If yes, how much? 3. Would you advice I use the standard application route? 4. How safe is application payment with Diamond Dollar card?
Cheers. 1.Do you have letter of scholarship from your school? 2. What is the total amount written on that letter? |

demashi: What doc? Passport? Cos I was barred from entry in 2006 due to fake passport issued by immigration. I think it's OK for you to reapply. The ban should have been from 2006. I don't know what you are going on about, his application in 2010 was refused for misrepresentation and that carries 10yrs ban and he was serving 10yrs ban at that time as well. |

Tinybabs: Nope u got the explanation wrong sir,the ban was just for 10years and it happen on my second application. The ban has ended 2016. Tinybabs: Apology. I was banned in 2006 because I used a fake document (arranged by an agent) . That happens immediately I left school and desperate to find something doing. I decided to travel abroad for a greener pasture so a friend introduced me to this guy and this circumstance happened, although I was not ban immediately. In 2010, I was working with a finance house and I felt am eligible for a visiting then, so I applied but did not revealed that I had once applied. Thus I was banned, Am married now with two kids and a mid cadre management officer. I must say that I still don't know how to apply online, but I have learnt my lesson. I earnestly wants to take my kids to witness stuffs they have seen in cartoon and winter etc. I really need advice. I think your ban started in 2010 when you refused to disclose the previous application in 2006. Read the last part of your refusal letter again. |

noscarn91: Congratulations my brother , Scotland is a beautiful place , very cold but you would get use to it , beautiful girls too , you might want to check out espionage night club on union street , if you into girls , the pittodre stadium is always recruiting but you only work like 3 times in a month at least you can manage that before you get a steady guy, if you interested you can send your cv to Ryan.Candy@sodexo.com . For a better paying job , care companies like paramount care and inspire care might be hiring , just do your research. There is also an African shop on George street not too expensive , there are also cheap accomodation on George street as well in the range of £350 per week. Try and get a monthly and weekly bus pass from first bus if you intend to move around but if you are aka-fun and like trekking all the best . I advise you to have fun , 1 year is very short , travel if you can afford it , make new friends , Scottish girls are very friendly if you lucky you might get a white babe , pls avoid Nigerian girls by all means , they would chop u and waste you time . A week or a month? I don't think that is entirely true, not all Nigerian girls are there for your money, many are actually responsible and sensible. |
