holysinner01: Good morning, my brother applied for a Uk visa in 2014 and had to withdraw his application because they were demanding for a Dna to prove our mum is his real mother, this happened after he went to the embassy to submit supporting documents and went alone because there was no adult to follow him and he was 17 years, then he was asked to come for interview with our mum and after the interview, he was asked to do a Dna and after our findings, doing A Dna test is way expensive, btw they said he had to do it with an accredited UK hospital, so he withdrew his application. Now he intends to try again and now he is 19+ but he has changed his name from (ex. Ade ayo shola to ayo shola david) he has documents proving the change of name due to family reasons. Also he was supposed to travel with our elder brother but our elder brother travelled alone since he withdrew his application, this said brother is currently overstaying.. my brother intends to just go for a week during break from uni but he is scared our runaway elder brother might affect his chances and his change of name.. please what do u guys suggest?? I think your brother is going to face a lot of challenges with any UK visa application. 1. The DNA test will most likely be demanded again since he withdrew his application before without submitting any DNA result 2. Changing his surname after the previous application..he needs to work harder to convince the ECO that he is a member of your family and one of the ways to do this is to present DNA result. 3. Your brother living illegally in the UK currently will not help his application because if given a visa he is more likely to overstay his visa as well. |

skitkid2: You are funny, hypocritical and probably an older man too.
Answer the question again
You're condemning him because he lied to the vo, you've never lied to achieve anything before?
One reason why I want to leave naija, is because we are not honest with ourselves.
We condemn others openly when we've committed worse things we will never disclose.
Tell us what you would have told the vo or refer to where you answered it Please lets stop deceiving ourselves here, you are leaving Nigeria because Nigerians are not honest with themselves? So where are you moving to? Heaven? You are leaving Nigeria for a better opportunity elsewhere period! |

sucre26: Hello house. You guys are doing an amazing job helping people out. God bless you abundantly. My case is a bit complicated. I applied for UK visa about 10years ago with my grandmother but I was denied reason was because they stayed there was no money in my grandmother's account. The person that also wrote an invite letter for us then was a family friend but we claimed that we were related. Fast forward to 2013 I applied alone and I stated I was doing business but I didn't include my business certificate and other proof that I was into business so I was denied because of this. I also got an invite letter from another family friend who also claimed that she was my aunt and also a lawyer in the U.K. Who collected money from me then and wrote to the embassy that I was coming back. Now I want to reapply but I don't want to be denied again. I'm married now with a child and my daughter is a us citizen. I also have enough proof that I run my own business. My shop receipts, business certificate. Please I'll need advice on how to go about reapplying for the visa. My sister in law will be inviting me over but she is a stay at home mom. She is married to a white British citizen. I would also like to know if I should state the 2 previous people I claimed were my family when I applied the previous times in the section that asks if I have people in the U.K. Is it also necessary for my husband to sponsor me? So sorry for the long post, needed to be as detailed as possible. Thank you Yes you have to mention those you claimed that are your family members. Your husband can sponsor you but you still have to add your own bank statement and business details to support the source of money in your account |

emeldamicheals: Yes it was but she reapplied like one or two more times again and got denied which made her realise she was on ban. She has never travelled to the UK. Thnx for your response. First the immigration lawyers your daddy paid for an appeal cheated him because you can't appeal visiting visa. I don't think she was denied and banned because she wiped the mistake and rewrite it, I think she altered the day on her birth certificate while her passport carries different age. What was the reason for the final refusal? |

emeldamicheals: Hello everyone and happy new year. Please, i would love to ask a question on behalf of my sister. She was denied visa few years ago. Like in 2014 or so. I can't really remember. The reason was because in her birth certificate there was a mistake in the day or so. So she cleaned it and used pencil to rewrite it. She has been using the document and she used it all through her university days. Until she used it to apply for UK visa and she was denied. Reason: Falsified document and she was given 10 Years Ban. She always stays behind whenever our family goes on holiday to UK. And our family may plan a trip soon. Question: is there anyway to write sincerely to UK embassy to lift the ban. After it happened my dad paid a lawyer based in UK and Naija to help with the appeal but all to no avail. That was how we knew she was on ban. Documents to prove her age and to prove my parents gave birth to her were all included. ARE 10 YEARS BAN EVER LIFTED? Was that her first UK visa application? |

chubbyswit: o.m.g. Why're these guys a bunch of fools? Charles barbage invented the computer. Alan turing innovated on an already existing invention. You guys will go to any extent to justify your delusions even lie for africa. Makes me wonder if all atheists are gay. So because i disagreed with you i'm now an atheists? I'm one of those who believed that common sense should be made a core subject in Nigeria educational system. Even somebody with a single brain cell can not be as bad as you are. Bytheway nairaland is owned by an atheists will you stop posting? By your zero level thinking he is a fool but he is still successful. |

pulsa: There is no such thing as inventing in science in reality and neither is there such a thing as a lone great man in science, whatever you think was created or invented relied on past work by former scientists, which is why two scientists can solve a problem independently at the same time with similar and dissimilar solutions and hence Newton's quote on seeing farther in science than past scientists by "standing atop former giants(scientist works)".
Now the question really is which past giant's(scientist's) work did modern computing rely on, the answer is a lot of people though, but if we were to choose one person it will be Alan Turing, as he contributed a lot to modern computing artificial intelligence due to his "Turing test" and his work breaking the Nazis code, and now A.I computing is the main difference between computing machines made before world war 2 and the computing machines made after.
So yeah in a way you can say he invented modern computing systems.
And stop trying to take credit away from him or belittling his work because you disagree with him being gay, as he has contributed a lot to the human race as a whole upon how bad he was treated; What pray tell have you contributed to the world even with you being heterosexual. You probably even use a phone. That section in bold is chubbyswit's headache and he is making his hate- filled argument using computer invented by a gay man. You still wonder why Nigeria is screwed up despite how much you pray and numerous churches in every street in Nigeria? We play God and deceive ourselves so much. |

chubbyswit: i dont need to stress myself trying to educate your type when i know that all my effort will just end in futility, and besides wasnt insulting, just stating the obvious fact! Have a nice day! How can you possibly educate anybody when you are woefully incapable of putting two sensible sentences together? Teach me sign language that will be easier for you. |

Gaara101: I engaged in a very heated debate with someone over the bolded. I don't know how some people reason. They should take a look at our God sent president. They should realize that people voted, it was an election. God did not use a magic wand to appoint anyone president. How can a fraudster be regarded as God sent? Somebody who duped many students with the Trump fake university? He paid $25m to settle the lawsuit |

DamiG: Nigerians are unfortunately filled with hate no wonder we are stagnant. By the way the civil rights page was also removed which means the right of minorities has also been trampled upon. But due to their hate nobody noticed that. They noticed it but not matured enough to comment on it. The same Nigerians will travel to US or the UK to claim asylum using homesexual as a reason. I know one who came here as a student and dropped out then suddenly turned gay so as to claim asylum. Guess what? He was successful. |

Foreign Affairs › Re: The White House’s LGBT Rights Page Has Disappeared by justwise(m): 11:33am On Jan 21, 2017 |
ephi123: How EXACTLY did Christians allow pedophilia in the NORTH? How? The Northern leaders should be held accountable for the ills of their region. They allowed it when they don't complain, protest, use their position in power to enact a law to change it. They allowed it when they actually voted for child marriage, they allowed it when some of them are actually husband to a child. Are Northern leaders not Nigerians and muslims? Are some Christians living in the north not forced to marry a dirty old man because its acceptable? |
Foreign Affairs › Re: The White House’s LGBT Rights Page Has Disappeared by justwise(m): 11:22am On Jan 21, 2017 |
ephi123: Then say in the North, because that unfortunately is their culture (which people are pressurising them to change) In the rest of Nigeria, paedophilia is NOT allowed So why are we not protecting about that? That culture has been there for years and these same muslims and Christians here clapping for Trump allowed it. This is my issue with some Nigerians..so hypocritical, we shout and write pages about other country's problem but right there in our own country we are swimming in it. |

tafrica: I read it last night, some of the pages, if not all xef, on white house website has been archived into obama website. It is not a spite towards Obama as press made it look, it is a protocol by every successive Govt. Do you think nairalanders understand that? Nigerians are the most hypocritical beings ever! |

I read about this forum on Google and I would like to be enlighten.
I submitted an application for UK visit visa at Ikeja and was sent to Sheffield, UK
Also I can't track my application since last week Friday. Is this normal? Yes that is normal. You can't track and a week is far too early to start worrying |
