@ justwise

thank you for what you are doing here.

please help me out here, it's urgent, I applied for UK visiting visa Dec 2016 and was refused based on unexplained deposits in account. am reapplying next week. my question is

1. can I still use the tax clearance I used last year Dec, it expired Dec 31st 2016. it carried (2013,2014,2015) on it, although I had to pay for 2016 before it was issued last year. now I asked to be issued a new one carrying (2014,2015,2016) but am told again to make some payment for 2017 before I can be issued a new one,i didn't plan for this. or should I attach the tax clearance and explain in my covering letter why I don't have a new one
Is that 2016 tax certificate?

Anything can happen at POE so it's anybody's guess whether you will be stopped and asked or not though that is possible when you want to renew that visa.

hello@justwise, pls we've been trying possible bests to make payment for the visa but it has all proved abortive, communicated with a brother in the USA but he couldnt make the payment a;so on the basis that it isnt going through, so he later gave us the customer care line of the UK in Nigeria, we called and the reply was that "how would we like to make the payment"? she was liek they could make the payment for us upon providing of our bank card details and we are planning on doin that soon now, so i need to ask these questions:

1. Is this possible or how genuine this, has anyone encountered this before?

2. The naira restriction is really appalling, pls how else could we make this payment before thursday so we can quickly make the submission, (travel date is 22nd Feb) very close.

3. What was do you profer we make this payment sir?

i would appreciate really if anyone here also could help in the aspect of payment.
thanks in anticipation!
1. I never heard that before, did you do a search of that number and it leads you to the embassy website?

2. I don't know why your brother was unable to pay from USA because that is possible, if you have dollar account you can pay with it.

Hello Just wise, I am applying for a UK standard visit visa on a virgin passport. My sis is inviting me. I have my personal business and married with four kids. Though I am going alone for a vacation of three weeks.

My monthly salary is 120k but my personal income tax says N484k as at 2015. Do u think I should submit it like that?
What naira equivalent should I use to calculate the pounds as we have both bank and black market

Justwise and Lexusgs430 please help me answer this question.

I got married to a British citizen but I have a child from a previous relationship ( no marriage). I plan to join my husband this year but we want to spend at least one year alone together before I bring my child over. The child will stay with my husband's mom in nigeria when I leave for the UK.

Will this affect my application?

The child will not affect your application but you still need to include his name but make it clear that you are not traveling with the child.

Bringing the child later will not be easy unless you do it after getting your British citizenship or your hubby adopting that child which will not be easy though.

Hello house! Happy Sunday! I need some guidance. My husband is on a tier 5 PBS migrant visa and I intend to join him there by March. We are putting together documents for my application as a tier 5 migrant dependant(spouse). In addition to the his bank statement, utility bills, tax information, marriage certificate, pictures, letter from both parents acknowledging our marriage. What other documents should we include to better our chances as one thing I've learnt here is that it's better to overkill. We really do not want to have any loopholes lest they deny the visa application. Thanks in advance.

You need to add proof of communication..call history. whatsapp chat. facebook messages, skype, viber etc..whichever way you both communicate need to be printed and added.

You are wrong, i mean very wrong. Nothing like real or fake white woman, a white woman will not think twice cheating on her husband/bf if she wants and still get her hubby kicked out if he complains.

I did and still maintain my initial post, the white lady can't remain loyal to a black man because of big mojo because the guy she is cheating with is also black..meaning he probably has a big one or even bigger.

She is cheating on him with his friend as you can hear from the guy himself.

1. I intent to travel to us to have my baby by Gods grace but I don't know were could be affordable for me according to my visa my destination is in Indianapolis please I need the expirienced mother's advice.
2. My visa is a visiting one altho I was not pregnant during the interview and now I want to send a letter of intent to the embassy as I want to travel by April God's grace please when can I send the letter? thanks.
This is VO's reply to somebody that asked similar question

abujaniv:
Hello. The idea that you can e-mail the Embassy/Consulate with a "change of intent" letter and have no issues at the border is a myth. The letters are not required, read or catalogued with an applicant's file. What matters is the information you provide in your application and what you say in person at the Embassy/Consulate or to CBP at the border. The application is considered a sworn document: you are swearing that all the information in it is true. If the duration, purpose and destination of travel indicated in the application deviate from reality, it draws greater scrutiny.

Thanks for your time oga, let's hope the ECO will not see it like that, really nervous.

I like preparing for the worst case senerio, if eventually we play this penalty to "throw in", what do you suggest, we appeal or we make an immediately reapplication stating it this time.

Also the case of Sheffield and Ikeja, where is the decision made because I am kind of confused when I got the mail saying our application is received in Sheffield.

Decision is made in Sheffield, visa centres are there to collect applications and serve as visa interviews centre they don't make visa decisions.

What you will do in a case of refusal will depend on why you were refused. So just wait for the outcome first

A US judge has issued a temporary halt to the deportation of visa holders or refugees stranded at airports following President Trump's executive order.
The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) filed a case in response to the order issued on Friday.
The ACLU estimates that between 100 and 200 people are being detained at airports or in transit.
Thousands of people have been protesting at US airports over Mr Trump's clampdown on immigration.
His executive order halted the entire US refugee programme and also instituted a 90-day travel ban for nationals from Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen

Guys kindly read the vital information below

US to reduce the validity of visa issuance to Nigerian citizens from 2years to 1 years, if the Government of Nigeria doesn't increase the validity of NIgeria Visa issuance to Americans from 1 year to Two years.

US Visa feee to be increased from $160 to $180 and an additional $35 which makes it a total of $215 visa fee that Nigerians will start paying, if the Federal Government of Nigeria doesn't reduce the Nigeria Visa fee issued to American citizens from $180 to $160 to be at par with American Visa Fee, and also the Federal Government of Nigeria must stop charging the useless additional $35 processing fee.

The above order takes effect immediately.
Nothing wrong with this.

In an executive order signed today (Jan. 27), US president Donald Trump instructed the State Department to immediately suspend the US’s Visa Interview Waiver Program. It’s an interesting action by a president who has made trade a central tenet of his policy platform, since it could, in the short term, inconvenience many frequent visitors to the US (and even dissuade them from visiting) by forcing them to have a face-to-face interview with a US consular officer every time their visa expires rather than simply dropping off their passport at a consulate.

Justwise and team,

Please help, I got a dicy situation in my hands, my wife is about 5weeks pregnant and we have applied for her tier 4 visa, received in Sheffield already.
However there is a mistake and a twist to it.

The mistake,
We did not state it anywhere in the application form that she is pregnant, I supervised it myself but didn't know how dumb I must have been to leave that out. Its ticked in her TB result that she is pregnant, infact during the TB test was when we first knew.

The twist
I have read about similar pregnant situation on this thread, some denied cos they will be close to completing their studies when the baby is due, but however, my wife is going for a PhD, its a 3 year thing so I am thinking it should fly.

I just wanna know what our chances are, I've been practically depresses since I found out its some issue on Friday, my heart is in my mouth as we await the result this week most likely.

Additional question, we submitted in Ikeja, but got response from Sheffield, the visa decision is taken in Ikeja or Sheffield, cos I am a little confused.

Thanks for your time
Even as this seems to be a genuine mistake it could be seen as a misrepresentation if spotted by the ECO.

Lets hope that the ECO will not see it that way since this is student visa application and not visiting visa. Students are allowed free NHS treatment including child birth so looking at it from that perspective it will not be seen as a way of abusing the health care if given a visa

Trump executive order: US judge temporarily halts deportations

A US judge has issued a stay temporarily halting the deportation of visa holders or refugees under an executive order from President Trump.
The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) filed a legal case early on Saturday in response to the order.
The judge's stay prevents those "caught up" in the aftermath from being deported, the ACLU said.
The group estimates that between 100 and 200 people were being detained at airports or in transit.
The court decision came as thousands protested at airports in several US states over Donald Trump's clamp down on immigration.
His executive order, signed on Friday, halted the entire US refugee programme and also instituted a 90-day travel ban for nationals from Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen.
