004gist: If you are planning on schooling in UK and you come across or you have chosen northumbria university either for September intake or January intake please stay clear from the University.
They have now put in place a non realistic payment plan. Imagine the school asking students to pay 2500 per month in just 90 days and you have no voice or choice.
The only time you should proceed is only when you have this funds in your account but if you wish to work and pay your fees as usual please I beg you leave the school.
They block access to portal, that means you can't submit assignments, participate in lectures, take attendance etc.
I decided to voice out to follow Nigerians not to make this mistakes because many are now stranded after spending huge money

The school is actually too nice to even give student payment plan after getting the visa claiming to have the full amount required to study in the UK.
Who is cheating who? You decided to buy bank statement and pay the interest just to get the visa, you came to the UK without that money you claimed to have, the school demanded for their money and you are here sending false alarm?
How many Nigerians can afford full tuition payment? Then don't start something you can not finish, where i came from there is a name they call someone who wants to have something he can not afford.

However, online courses are popular among certain demographics in the UK and could be a way for universities to gain revenue while cutting costs that come with on-prem teaching.

This year January the school said they would make a one-off payment to all staff to ease the high cost of living. For my level it's £500. This is not government money, it's the school that is paying, I believe I can accept the money??

If you don't have the money to study in the UK then think long and hard before wasting the little you have to pay school fees deposit and visa application. The UK will be a lot harder for foreign students especially those depending on part time job to pay all remaining school fees.
For some days now I have been on a serious dilemma whether to resign from my federal government job that pays me above N200k for my current position and migrate to the UK or stay in naija and set up a business to augment my salary. I will be 34 years next year, I feel traveling to the uk for studies next year September will delay my chances of getting married, as I have planned not exceeding 34 years without getting married.

I said jobs ask of work experience minimum of 5 years experience and this most times include your school periods. They want to know what you have been doing since you left school. Every of this details matter to them.
I ended up saying most organisations are sensitive.. You can't work with them without enhanced DBS.
Can you get DBS from Nigeria? I don't know why you can't reason properly. Listed again...most care homes ask for transferable DBS before you work with them. They want to see you have no criminal record ever so you don't end up abusing those vulnerable people. If you have abuse children or engage in crime before you won't be allowed near vulnerable people
So if you come from Nigeria get your police report, they will help you apply for DBS.

Yes i'm in the UK and this is a scam, companies will not ask you to do DBS while still in Nigeria, max you will be asked is 2-3 references and police character report and this will only be requested when they are considering you for the job.
Nobody here ask for 10yrs employment history for a care job.

And mind you, this is care.. They are very careful in this sector. Most care homes accept only enhanced DBS.
I’m not sure you know what you’re talking about. Do you know the difference between work experience and reference? Which care home ask for enhanced DBS from Nigeria?
