Cuteandkind:
Greetings My Good People of Nairaland.

Please I need suggestions on an offer I have.

I am a Registered Nurse, hoping to relocate to UK. I have passed through all the steps and currently preparing to write my OSCE in the UK. I had to sponsor myself to UK for my OSCE exams.

So recently I got job offers from 2 NHS Trusts in UK after passing their job interviews. They are willing to give me COS for my Skilled Worker Visa Processing, but none is willing to make any financial commitment for my relocation.

THEY MADE IT CLEAR THEY DO NOT OFFER ANY RELOCATION PACKAGE.

This means I have to;

Pay the Skilled Worker Visa Fees myself
Pay NHS Surcharge myself
Pay for flight
Pay for my TB tests myself
And even cater for my accomodation on arrival.

The cost runs into millions of naira, which I do not have.

My questions;

1. Does anyone thing the offer is worth it, and should I accept it considering how difficult it is getting NHS offers now?

2. If I decide to go through Health and Care Worker Visa Route, the visa processing fees will be cheaper than Skilled Worker, but is it advisable?

3. Is it advisable to take a loan and invest in the relocation plans, since I have an offer already?

Every suggested will be appreciated.

The fact that he has been paying rent for about a year is enough tbh . Verbally agreement is legal in this country. He friend went through similar situations in the hand of one Asian landlord , she didn’t have any assured contract but last last she got help and na the landlord lose eventually.
Exactly!!

If no contract is evident and LL is only accepting cash ......

How would deposit be paid into deposit scheme, without the legal framework.........

As I said, this matter be like onions..... If not peeled properly, tears would flow ........🤔🤣
Then she is in trouble

It matters alot (infact, it's the spine of this matter).......

Without a legal contract, you cannot be deemed a tenant......

LL could claim she simply housed an unruly family member......

Without a contract, if the LL is wise..... She would get away with murder.......
Stop playing, house an unruly family for a year and keep collecting money from the family?

Did she go to the authorities to report this tenant? Did she serve him quit notice?

What lawful measures did she take to resolve this issue?

Your LL don buy market...... 😁

Did you legally rent this apartment.......
It doesn’t matter if he legally rented the apartment, the LL actions are unlawful. She has no legal leg to stand on as it’s.

@fullclub your advice is duly noted. The mods here and some others are talking like it's easy to raise N30M in this economy. They come at people with their holier than thou attitude, now wonder NL is becoming shithole, just like Nigeria.

Clearly your advice is for those who may intend to sell their/family properties/possessions in order to embark on this journey, and painting the perfect scenerio for them here is the best way to go.

It is well. All the best, but in all you do, please don't come back.
Keep talking nonsense, silly bunch of people. If Its not easy to raise 30M then stay back in Nigeria rather than wasting the little you have coming to the UK to suffer.

Please what's that agency that I can report my landlord to please..
My landlord just came to my house and remove my room door because am owning her rent which I told her she will receive within 3 days time. Now my room does not have any door and it wild open.
Rent was due on 15th & on same date she came in & change the outside door key that give access to our flat thus locking me out of the house and just today 17th she came again to remove my room door..

Please I want to know if there is any way I can sue her or claim damages before this woman is very wicked and does anything she wants, thinking that there's nothing I can do because am new to UK.
I have been in this house for over a year and I pay all my rent in full & on time but this one I ask her to give me sometime which was because my new roommate have not been paid yet from he's work & I don't have full money to pay for the new house rent as the rent was increased because we are two.

PLEASE HOUSE I NEED YOUR HELP.
SHES STILL HOLDING MY INITIAL £700 DEPOSIT
Don't move out and hold the rent, contact Citizens Advice they will help you.

Your landlady will regret her actions

As a student who just came in September this year can I travel to France for just 2-3days stay?

I meet an admiral (Italian) but also a British citizen about a week ago and he wants me to go with him for holiday.

He also wants to pay my balance tuition worth £14500, he took me to see some of his restaurants in Brighton and also to see his house located at Brighton Marina and other properties.

Seriously I dey fear I nor go lie
You met him a week ago and within that period he has shown you all his wealth? Why do you think he did that so quick?

May be you should start by doing some background check on him, look for any document that contains his name and do a google search to see what comes up.

Just be careful

Thank you, what kind information do I need to know please, and also do I need to book another flight when I get to the Vancouver airport as that is not my final destination
Ask the agent to tell you all the information he entered in the visa application about you. Ask him to tell you everything about the conference.

Try and verify if that visa is genuine.

Lastly are you working or doing any business ?

All man is working towards one goal. Meet needs, enjoy life, and provide for offsprings Whether na topay rent (dead money 😁) or sleep under bridge o, or pay mortgage.

It’s all towards one direction, BILLS……..

E no pass like that.
This mindset of Nigerians and Africans, in classifying labour, is based on where they come from and how life is there.

People in advanced countries like in the uk, careless, most times. They just follow what suits them and give them peace and fulfillment.

Nigeria? No, you must wear tie, enter office, and use biro and be analyst or sedan for computer 🤣🤣🤣🤣.

Same reason why this country grows and is where it is today.
I wish I can like your posts more than once.

This is probably the best post I have read so far about the whole argument.

Well said.
Left to me care jobs should be for those who have the capacity and empathy for it.

I can't even imagine having to need support or loved one needing support and then the care worker is one who thinks so badly of it.
It's like being left to your fate with a doctor that is just in it ONLY for the money..that's how coverups and mismanagement and death can happen.
, people you care would do these things themselves if they could butt hey can't.
You definitely living rent free in my head.

That is exactly why I have not done it because I don’t have the capacity or passion for it. People doing such job whether for the money or love for it deserves nothing but respect from me.

Or perhaps you should pay more attention to details. The OP said people here say care work is useless.

Talking down on care work is different from saying care work is useless. A lot of professions have been talked down on here, but saying "people say care work is useless" is way too much of a mis interpretation.
You making an elementary argument here, people have used all sorts of adjectives here to describe care work, so I don’t know why you want to bring it down to this level.

Hello house, I greet everyone specially with all due respect. I’m new here and I will like to ask some few questions. Actually I just got my Canada visa and I’m due to travel by the end of this month. I’m going for a 1 day conference in Nanaimo, B.C. I will like to ask which airport will be my Port of entry? How many days should I book for my ticket, I was thinking of booking for 7 days I don’t know if it’s right like that, and also will I have to book for another domestic flight or bus because Nanaimo is like another 2 hours to Vancouver international airport.. I will be glad to get ideas responses. Thank you
One day conference ? Make sure that the agent tells you all the information he put in your visa application form else you are likely to be deported at the Poe.

From your post it’s obvious that you know not much about that conference or have an idea what the agent did.

Not excusing molestation in any form but India is literally the rape capital of the world but you don't see them making noise about it in the UK

You get to know that because people talk about it the same way Nigeria rape cases are all over the net
