Hi everyone.
Please I need an advise.

How soon can a spouse apply for visa to join his/her better half in UK for a spouse that just left the country like two weeks ago to live and work in UK?

Once the spouse gets something good doing which can support the family and accommodation, then one can apply after 3 months?

I've read that visa application on their website but I want to get more insight here.

Thank u all.

Justwise, thanks for ur help earlier. Will seek u out at the right time. U really helped me out a lot.(another moniker) and I so much appreciated it. Thanks bro.
As soon as the section in bold is done then you are free to apply for appropriate visa to join him

They say when you select tier4 student visa and selcet commonwealth shared scholar tie4, the visa application fee is automatically waived.
You keep asking the same question but failed to read replies or answer question why? Are you actually a genuine scholarship holder?

Dude contact your school since this is shared scholarship and ask them these two questions:

1. I am exempted from visa fees?

2. Do i need to pay for health charge?

If they say no to both questions then go ahead and apply for visa and do your biometric

I created this account for personal reason, i have been member since 09….

Please i need ur urgent answer, my friend is preparing a sponsored visit for me to US, on his letter he pledge to take responsibility of me and that he will be held accountable for any of my action in the state, the thing here is, he’s married to a white woman, so he’s automatically a citizen… well we’ve paid agent to arrange the necessary documents, we submitted here including international passport, he said his wife have submitted all required documents in U.S, including a surety from his wife friend, because they said his wife must bring a third party to attest that the woman knows what she’s doing… To cut long story short, he said everything is okay now(Between the whole process took almost 3 months) that he’ll be expecting flight itineraries sooner or later from wifey(Also he said after getting everything set, he’ll be traveling to pick me up, we won’t be going same time)… Also, that they called him to come and sign some relevant stuffs as a sponsor in Nigeria US Embassy to pick the documents as well on my absence as none appearance, note, he said his wife sent his number to one man (Yoruba Man )in Nigeria Embassy Abuja that called him up… So the Ultimate Question here is, is it possible for anyone to collect traveling document with stamped international passport from Nigeria US embassy without the actual person presencehuh i brought this up here because i kept wondering the authenticity of this package since he insist i won’t follow him to Abuja Embassy… Please i need a serious contribution from experience person, is it possible?

It is ridiculous to see people here acting as if they have been married for ages and the husband now found out her real age.

They never even met, the relationship is just under 2 months old, he is 8 flipping years older than her so what is the big deal here?

I met a man online 5 weeks ago.As with online relationships, I withheld info and told him the age I have on my id and not my real age.I never expected the relationship to go anywhere, but we fell in love quickly we are even planning marriage. He has found out the truth about my age and is taking it badly.he compares me to his ex who he claims is a great liar and had refused to forgive me.He is doubting everything I ever told him about me and is ignoring me.I have apologized and explained to no avail.we are meeting for the first time next weekend, but he has changed totally. He ignores my calls and msgs and I can't eat or sleep. I love this man and want to be with him.I'd it fair that he has refused to accept my explanation? Its not as if I just picked the age from the air, its the age in my ids.how do I remedy this situation? Do I keep begging him? He doesn't even read msgs.this is his first on line relationship ( to the best of my knowledge) but this is not my first online relationship and I was just being cautious cos I have had my fingers burnt online before. What do i do? I am confused. He is a 43 yr old divorcee with 3 teenagers.I am turning 35 this yr( i don't look it though) i told him i was 32 yrs old.I need advice before I go crazy.why is this age issue such a big thing for him.has he got another woman? I am confused
We live in different places but I plan on going to see him next week .I am confused right now.Help!
P:s- it wasn't a random connection online, a mutual friend linked us up because he wants to settle down and I also want to settle down. She decided to connect both of us.We are going to meet and date face to face for sometime before getting married.
I am not desperate even at this age.I have had my fair share of heartbreaks. God makes everything beautiful in his time.this is not about the marriage, its about clearing my name first. Most people living outside Naija have "football" ages on their passports and other ids.I am not trying to justify myself but he found out the truth from me.I could have kept on lying if I really wanted to but seeing how serious we have become, I owned up when he asked.
Stop beating yourself up! on social media a lot people don't put up their real age including me, you start telling someone you met online your real age and other personal details when you noticed that the relationship is getting serious hence the need to be more open to each other.

Even as 35 he is still 8yrs older than you so what is the fuss about? He is blowing the whole thing out of proportion or maybe there is another reason for all the drama.

You have not even met him or got engaged, stop begging or messaging him. I don't even see the real crime here.

Good day to all the gurus in the house, pls I would like an advice on how to go about my UK visa application cos of the bad experience I have in the past...I applied sometimes in 2007 for UK visa by an agent which was denied and I didn't see the refusal letter cos it was arrange by a friend of my mom,my mum has a resident permit in the UK and my Lil brother hold a red passport and they both live there for almost 17yrs but they do visit nigeria every year for the ileya festival..after my 1st visa was refuse in 2007 I decided to further my education since I just finish my ND then so I got admission to a private University and graduated in 2010 went for NYSC and came back so when I couldn't secured a job my mum decided she invite me so we begin another processing in Feb 2012 and I handle it myself but unfortunately I was refuse based on 3 reason, firstly I didn't state it that have been refuse a UK visa in the past 10yrs my reason was I didn't know so my fault, secondly I change my date of birth in my passport from 1984 to 1986,lastly my mum name was changed as she uses another name on her resident permit..I was allow to appeal so I got a lawyer to check into it and he defended my very well with reasonable point and valid evidence.my mom attended the hearing in court 3 times cos we opted for oral hearing...so on the day of the final judgement my mom said the jury were worried that if they allow the ECO to issue my visa they are in doubt that I will return back to nigeria and she try to convince them but they said I should apply a fresh application now or in the future cos I don't have any thing to tie me back home....so now am working with financial firm in Victoria island for 2 years and a month now and am on a salary of 70k monthly, married with a kid and living together...so I want to go on a vacation to visit my mom especially my Lil bro cos he was the one who insisted I should go and apply for a fresh visa,my mom works and she will be the one to sponsor my trip to and fro and accommodate me for 10 days while all I need to just do is source for my BTA of 350Gbp to do some shopping for myself, kid and wife....so please kindly advice me on what to do and what are my chances to secure the visa cos I don't want to be refuse again...though am going to explain all what happen with my 1st and 2nd visa refusal..tanx and looking forward to your great advice.justwise am waiting to read from you

Will your mom be sending you any document?

I am applying for a visa to write an exam in 2 weeks time. I have all the necessary supporting documents.
I have however had to raise money from friends and family(various sources) to fund the trip.
Do I need some official documentation, apart from my bank statements, to prove the identity of those who sent money to me?
In other words, do I need official proof from my benefactors as per the lodgement in my account?
I have had money deposited in my account over a week and I am applying a month later, which is 3 months away from the test. The money is really for the exam and other expenses and not only for the purpose of getting a visa. Do I have to explain this apparent transfer to the ECO (NB...I work with a state government agency and have only been paid up till October, hence the paucity of money in my account prior to booking for the exam).
Helpful answers will be appreciated
justwise, FrontPageLawyer and other seasoned contributors, your opinions and advice will be welcome
Thanks
You have to, it's very important that you do that, you have to explain why they are contributing to your trip.

@ justwise thanks for your advice ... Yes out of ignorance and really solely on my then solicitors I made few mistakes .. But that's on my part. I returned to Nigeria voluntarily after my masters. My wife is 8 months pregnant so we expecting our baby soon ., she works and earns over £38,000 annually . We bought a property together. And she has never been to African prior to our wedding ... Besides I Recide in ph which as u know is the capital city of kidnapping and militancy .. So advice me pls .. An appeal has been filed and our MP has been notified .. Hopefully our child should be 3 months b4 the hearing of they don't have a change of heart b4 then.
Fortunately or unfortunately the appeal has been sent already so nothing that will be said here now will make much of a difference however, getting your MP involved is a good thing and your wife's pregnancy will all play a positive part.

Please don't listen to people who will encourage you to fight the case on human right or right to family life ground because your chances of winning it on those grounds are limited and it will take years.

Obviously your first marriage was a sham one and that is one of the sticking point which I guess you addressed in the appeal. Another issue is living illegally and studying even when you got no right to remain in the UK.

Keep a close contact with your MP because he will make a difference in this case.

You are not automatically qualified for visa because you hold commonwealth scholarship, you still have to apply for visa, pay the visa fees and present your scholarship letter. The ECO will make that decision and you are not entitled to it.

No its not an experience this is pure silliness, you allowed a 'friend' and a dubious visa agent to damage your credibility with American embassy, as if that was not silly enough you still went ahead with the interview and sealed it up with your biometric details.

You came here to present a case of somebody who was treated unfairly by the VO but failed to mention that the whole application was fraudulent.
