schweinsteiger: My encounter with this old man who should be in retirement home but still choose to work, one thing i observed was that he is not interested in fun at all, he never looked at me self, he was just typing,(He's in window 9, Abuja US embassy
Vo: Pass me ur paper Me: Good morning sir Vo: checking passport Me: Greeted Again,Good morning sir Vo: Keeps checking papers and typing continuously ( refuses to respond to my greetings) Vo: Where are you going Me: Houston Vo: Why houston ( Keeps typing why adjusting his eyes glasses because he could even see without eyeglasses) Me: For tourism and shopping Vo:Where would you love to visit? Me: NASA Space Center , Would see Houston Dynamo match, Vo: (Cuts In) who are Houston Dynamo, Me:A MLS club in Houston Vo: Oh!!! VO: What do you do ? Me: Works with Google, as Google adsense publisher and Sells Gadget Online too Vo: What do you mean by Google publisher Me : I try to explain to him, the lady in another window, jumps in tell him, he said oh!! Me: I also showed the letter i got from Google California, he looked and returned ( He seems so clueless to me) Vo: How much do you earn Me: $1500 Vo: Okay (typing and pulling the Creamy paper) .. Said unfortunately you do not qualify now Me: Thank you sir...
Summary, at the middle of the interview i thought i have gotten the approval becos seems so confused even if he don't have any idea of my field or many answers i gave him, he gave one man a visa, only because the man said his mom is a US citizen since 2001.. I was praying to be interviewed by one man in window 7, he seems calm and understanding, he gives you all the time in the world to explain yourself, he takes up to 5 minute to discharge any applicant he interviewed, another thing i believe is, what will be will be... Again their was this family of 4, 2 beautiful kids that was rejected, i was surprised because they looked very rich, maybe he didn't get the questions very well because i saw him choking at one point before the lady brought out Blue paper. .. Well everything happens for a reason, it might be on my best interest, because my prayer this morning was, if is something that will be good for me let it come and if not, let it don't.. My position today came out from a huge disappointment , Now i have spent almost 280k without anything to show for aside from experience, by 280k i mean the money i was scammed by trusted friend, flight & hotel to ABJ and so on... i just thank God ..Hope some people will pick one or two things from my encounter.. You guys can check and tell me where i went wrong, What's the difference btw creamy colour paper and blue paper? One shocking thing i notice is that this people makes more than one million dollar daily, both ABJ & LAG embassy, and the monetizing part plays a role in rejection schweinsteiger: I created this account for personal reason, i have been member since 09….
Please i need ur urgent answer, my friend is preparing a sponsored visit for me to US, on his letter he pledge to take responsibility of me and that he will be held accountable for any of my action in the state, the thing here is, he’s married to a white woman, so he’s automatically a citizen… well we’ve paid agent to arrange the necessary documents, we submitted here including international passport, he said his wife have submitted all required documents in U.S, including a surety from his wife friend, because they said his wife must bring a third party to attest that the woman knows what she’s doing… To cut long story short, he said everything is okay now(Between the whole process took almost 3 months) that he’ll be expecting flight itineraries sooner or later from wifey(Also he said after getting everything set, he’ll be traveling to pick me up, we won’t be going same time)… Also, that they called him to come and sign some relevant stuffs as a sponsor in Nigeria US Embassy to pick the documents as well on my absence as none appearance, note, he said his wife sent his number to one man (Yoruba Man )in Nigeria Embassy Abuja that called him up… So the Ultimate Question here is, is it possible for anyone to collect traveling document with stamped international passport from Nigeria US embassy without the actual person presence i brought this up here because i kept wondering the authenticity of this package since he insist i won’t follow him to Abuja Embassy… Please i need a serious contribution from experience person, is it possible? @justwise https://www.nairaland.com/2803598/u.s-embassy-abuja-please-help..isschweinsteiger: Everything will end very soon, weda good or bad, the end will justify the means... since one guy here mentioned about proxy collection, lemme hope for the best and expect the worse.. The chicken finally came home to roost? |

Rahmeek: Hello, If i am to really speculate to why you were rejected,i would say it is because of Houston, Texas. Mostly this days they reject people who want to go to Houston maybe because it has the highest number of Nigerians in the USA. so every person who wants to visit Houston is seen as a serious potential immigrant. Especially your case.you work with google who happens to be in the far west San fransisco Bay Area it is very suspicious to why you want to go to Houston . Most Nigerians have family/friends there. But well, everything in life is destiny. By Gods grace something better is coming your way. Keep praying Any evidence/fact to support that claim? |

evemama: Hello house, pls help me understand what to do 1) I booked intown suites for 30th March, now am leaving for 2nd wk in april, will that be a problem if am asked at POE? Or do I have to call or rebook again? Am not planning on staying there, I used them for my visa interview. 2) am applying for my mum, who do I fill as her contact person in the us, I used the doctor as mine?
Thanks for answers in advance ..and very soon they will start charging foreigners non refundable booking fees as they don't want to be 'used' again. Imagine what happens when hotel owners get all their rooms 'booked' and keep turning down more bookings because their rooms are 'full' then suddenly you don't turn up? Think about that. |

nairacountry: 1. Somebody should please throw some light on the above especially the bolden part? 2. Can't one show MasterCard as BTA? Must it be cash? 3. Also, is it wise to go with other currency like Ryand as against naira knowing fully that d exchange rate of ryand to pound will b stable couple with d fact that u can easily buy ryand from Travelex (MMA) at official price Hold £200-300 cash for immediate use and use your card to withdraw when you get to the UK. I don't think going with Rand will make any sense since you can't use it in the U.k, you still have to look for a place to exchange it for £ |

teetee2: Please how can I help my brother get back his money deducted for hotel booking. He asked for assistance to help him book hotel online without payment. I did same last year for visa processing. I booked for hotel which I later cancelled without paying dime. I used the same process "FREE CANCELLATION" for my brother to my great surprise his money was deducted. It has been trouble for me since morning. I contact the hotel on chat I was told to speak to expedia customer support. Please how do I go about it. Thanks for your quick response I understand that some hotels now charge for making a booking if it's cancelled within specific period, you probably did not read their terms and conditions well. Using hotels for visa application and cancelling after the visa is out is beginning to annoy some hotels and booking agencies |

SimonPeters2020: What is there to understand when you haven't made any sense? It doesn't take a brain surgeon to renew a travel document or get a visa on the valid passport instead of traveling on an expired one. Anyways, i am not here to argue with you bro....Cheers We are saying the same thing...you are unable to understand this..though I don't know why.. |

Travel › Re: Dual Nationality Nigeria/uk Passport? by justwise(mod): 6:43am On Feb 24, 2016 |
SimonPeters2020: Dude, whatever meaning you drive from patriotism, that's your gain but stop encouraging people to travel to Nigeria on expired passport. There is nowhere in the world where it is legal to travel with expired documents, Nigeria is not an exception and to think this is coming from a moderator says a lot. I will not. Report me to Buhari. I can't help you if you deliberately failed to understand jack |

blank: @Justwise, are you sure of this? Is this a recent requirement? My brother paid his accommodation and tuition in full before travelling and only showed the balance of maintenance. But this was quite a while back. Like 5 years now. If you can show that you have already paid all or some of your accommodation fees to your Tier 4 sponsor before making your application, this amount up to a maximum of £1,265, will also be taken away from the total amount of money you will need to show for living costs, however, the amount taken away cannot exceed a maximum of £1,265, even if you have paid more than £1,265 in advance for accommodation. londoner: Can you please post the official advice on passport renewal please? From the Nigerian immigration site in the UK? Also you may be confused and need to read what the poster said. His passport has not expired it is passed the five year renewal requirement.
I also know someone personally who after turning up at the airport with his ticket and passport had to return the next day with a letter from the Nigerian High Commission giving permission to travel but stipulating he must have it renewed in Nigeria.
If the poster is a Brit s/he would have asked for what the actual rules are and not ways to bend them or what you can 'get away with'. You are wrong she stated here.. OmoAlata1: I am in the US and I have to travel to Nigeria. I was wondering if I will be allow to enter Nigeria with expired passport accompany with a valid US passport. My friend told me, I can travel to Nigeria with an expired passport as long as I have a valid US passport, but I have to renew my passport as soon as I get to Nigeria or else they will not allow me back into US. Is this a true statement? You keep arguing but failed to understand the whole situation, last March I traveled to Nigeria and my passport has just 6 days left before it expires, the passport expired while I was in Nigeria and I came back with the same passport and my residency card, I was only reminded by Nigerian immigration to renew it when I get to the UK and I did. |

Yababoy: Hello Justwise, I didn't get any replies from u on the above. I have sorted that out though but I have another question. Because of the exchange fluctuations I have decided to pay my full 9 months accommodation cost for my September admission upfront. Please will I still be required at the point of visa application to show full cost of living or will the accommodation cost be discounted. I'll appreciate ur answer. You shouldn't have done that, a deposit is all you needed to do, the British embassy will only accept maximum of about £1000 as deposit for accommodation. You still have to show maintenance money though £1000 less(have to check the actual figure) |
