MayMaj: @ justwise.. I wasn't trying to promote any hospital as I have no business with them but only for d fact dat we are trying to get affordable or gud deals...
I mean it's worth considering if hospital A collects 8900 as bill while hospital B collects 3800..
Bear in mind that both hospital A AND B are in same location. I never accused you of that. Actually that will not help a lot of expecting mums. A lot of expensive hospitals today used to be cheap/affordable but as soon as their names are mentioned here and people started contacting them they raise their prices and even charge for Dr's letter. |

Meehn ur indifference is priceless I must say. ... Nice
To add to the above. ... I think u may need to layout the new set o' rules because apparently they are changing and more stringent given ur reviewed policy on hospital advert.
It's becoming tighter and harder to post new areas (obgyn n hospitals alike) of interest.
Perhaps there's need to balance the policy such that we all don't queue to the handful of coys that have been informed enough to satisfy ur advert requirements There is no need for another set of rules we have 22 already here....only if some people can be a little bit considerate and stop acting as an advertising agent for some hospitals and Drs. In part 1 and beginning of part 2 people share any info here freely I only restrict hospitals from doing in-thread ad but as many hospitals started paying to place ad here it's only fair to stop members directly or indirectly posting materials here that could be considered as an ad. I also know that certain individuals here purposely advertise for certain Drs and property agencies in the name of 'giving back'. There are enough info here for anybody who cares to read back about hospitals or POE experiences |

FlirtyKaren: Two Nigerian men living in Sharjah, the third largest city in UAE after Dubai and Abu Dhabi have been arrested after UAE police raided their apartment and recovered a large number of fake $100 bills.
A senior police officer said the culprits used the fake currency to convince people that they could double their money and make them rich. The two men, reportedly, used to meet people in an apartment in Sharjah and convince them that they had the ability to double money.
Colonel Ibrahim Al Ajill, Director of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), said they received a tip off about the scam activities of the two suspects.
A team of CID officers verified the complaints and raided their apartment. The suspects including A.Y and R.N were arrested red-handed with the fake currency. Tools and bags used in the operation were also recovered from them.
The suspects told the police that they brought the fake currency from abroad to carry out the scam activities. They also confessed during their interrogation to carrying out illegal activities with the fake currency.
The police said two of the suspects are in the UAE on a visit visa. The police has referred the case for public prosecution.

veecee29: I hear people say when they got to UK,they were able to cancel their hotel reservation and book another hotel or possibly stay with a friend. Please how do they do this?I was thinking that once u pay for the hotel, the money is non-refundable.Or can one reserve hotel without actually paying for it? Your constructive contributions will be very much appreciated.Thanks. Before you make hotel reservation or book and pay for the hotel read carefully the booking policy because with some hotels if you cancel after 72 hours you will not get the money back or they charge you admin fees. Some do allow reservation without payment you only pay when checking in However... There are risks involve in all that...e.g staying with a friend that you never mentioned in your visa application and cancelling a booking before leaving Nigeria are likely to get you in deep bs. |

NYSC › Re: Travel by justwise(m): 11:00am On Oct 24, 2015 |
@Justwise thanks for everything ,u really doing a great job.May the good lord bless u hmmua!
I really dont know where this fits in but i need urgent attention.
I am a Female Corper,i am in my 6th month now and i also had to quit the job i do on the side in lagos as at 2 wks ago cos my ZI found out i work in lagos in a telecomunications coy as a sales consultant(been working as soon as i graduated). My ZI found out and she is not corperative at all cos i am usually always in lag working even tho i serve in the north. She adviced i face my teaching job here so i have no choice now ,im back to the north as a teacher i cant risk another extra month here.I also sell human hair and sandals.
The issue is my great aunt has invited me to come over for the xmas holiday to spend 10days with her in the US...
My fears are ,are there any restrictions whatsoever on serving corpers applying for us tourist visas whilst still serving? What are my chances as my great aunt works with the US government In chicago and she has sent all her details as evidence she would be my sponsor for my round trip and all.
Secondly, i have been denied once in lagos consulate,i guess cos i had just graduated then and i stated i was unemployed awaiting NYSC, i have no travel history
....im applying through Abuja this time cos its closer to my PPA...
do i state that i have been denied before?when i tried booking my appointment even tho with a diff email, it stated that i have an existing profile with them and i should try booking an appointment with the old email(i guess they pretty much have everyone in thier database nomatter how long), so i didnt bother making any appointments....id just fill out another ds160 form after the advice i get here
So in a nut shell im asking experienced bvs who travelled to the us during thier NYSC and any experieced person in the know what they did and how they did it.
I dont intend to lie cos i know a friend that lied she wasnt serving but i dont know how the consulate got to knw she lied hence she got denied . Will the DG grant me the holiday application.
Pls advice me cos i am definately coming back. Thanks justwise..... Sorry i did not reply before you deactivated your account. |

Winso26: Hello guys, below is the message I just received from Sheffield. My questions now is, when will it get to my VAC? When should I go for collection?
"A decision has been made on your UK Visa application. Your application will be dispatched shortly from the Decision Making Centre in Sheffield, UK. If anyone contacts you advising that your application is still under consideration or that they can influence the outcome of your application in any way, they cannot - please report any such approach to VisaSheffield@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk.
Applications submitted at a Visa Application Centre will be returned there for you to collect.
Applications submitted in Yaounde, Dakar, Banjul, and Lagos Visa Application Centres will be available for collection 3 - 5 days after receipt of this email. Please do not attend these VACs until this time has passed, or until you are notified that your documents are ready for collection.
Applications submitted at the mobile VAC in Abidjan will be returned by courier directly to the address you have provided.
You should not expect to receive any further notification from this office unless you have made your application in North America and submitted a pre-paid courier envelope for your documents to be returned directly to you. If so you will also receive a further email with the courier tracking reference. Please note that if you applied at the Toronto Visa Application Centre on or after 28 April 2015, and have paid for your documents to be returned directly to you, you will shortly receive your tracking number from the Visa Application Centre rather than from this office.
Kind regards,
Sheffield Visa Section"
Thanks all for your help, Winso26. You will be informed when it gets to VAC |

Spouse dependent Visa
She was denied only on the basis that they didnt see enough evidence to prove they ve been in courtship for a long time
Now they attached all whatsapp correspondence, skype messages , mobile report from UK ( hubby printed using his own UK mobile )
so is it that the timeline for review varies,i was thinking 28 days is the fixed constant timeline for admin review Is her husband a studying in the UK or a permanent resident? |

I submitted itemised bill for mine from March to June which was lycamobile but with his, he couldn't get in Ghana because they company had issues with their system. He went there to show them the refusal letter and they gave him a letter address to the BHC stating the reason they couldn't gave him the printout. I went to visit him this year July and we did the submission together. He was asked during the interview and he told the interviewer am in the country. Also I have lots of extra pic we didn't take which I will this time. Please what are the chances of winning the case or the ECO overturning. That will entirely depend on how you present your case with valid supporting documents. They will be happy to withdraw the case and request for your passport rather than going to the tribunal. |

I came back here this month to gather more intelligence as i was about to make my second application. I was patient and saw what i didn't see during my first application.
I also went to church to lay my passport at the altar because this trip is important for my career.
I submitted my application on Oct 19th with account transactions explanations, cover letter et al and collected it today and my visa was granted!
Thank you FrontPageLawyer and Justwise. God bless you both. Congratulations! |

Davdar: Hello Justwise
Below is the refusal letter. Please can you guide me through the appeal and what do u think of the chances of the ECO overturning the decision. Thank you Ok, in your appeal letter you need to explain: 1. Why you give conflicting record about when/how you met your spouse(first paragraph) 2. The use of calling card: The ECO did not see this as a valid supporting evidence of communication between you and your spouse. Can you printout your call history and mark-out periods you called your spouse? 3. Apart from the photographs you submitted during your application do you have more or have you taken any with your spouse since the refusal? 4. Have you visited your spouse before and after the marriage and after the visa refusal? If yes then printout your flight ticket as an evidence. You need to explain those 4 points with paper evidences including those documents you submitted initially and many more you were unable to submit. |
