Most of the people coming here to speak I'll of Africa,what has been your contribution to Africa's development? The little amenities we manage is from the blood and sweat of some people,gaining independence wasn't so easy,it was the struggle of some people. what has been your own contribution to Africa?other than to sit back and speak I'll of your mother land.

You speak so well of the west forgetting how they built their own civilisation on the sweat of slaves from Africa,how Africa was raped you forgot. I refuse to be a slave to a white man.

I am proud of my identity,and I am part of the next generation creating change in Africa. What is your own contribution ?

I think u should help out ppl in this thread by finding out a better and easy source for securing visas for them so as to put the scavengers off. Just as Etihad airlines helped lots of ppl now enjoying in dubai .

I wouldn't want to argue with you but i don't think your quoted ratio is right. After my cousin came here and left without getting a job in his 3 months of stay, i have been looking out to see if i can get any cheap direct employment to bring him back here but believe me the least i have seen is 6,500 Dirhams with a very poor salary. I have met a pakistani who arrived here with 13,000 Dirhams. Sometimes, even most of us here doesn't even have it cheaper. That's why it's most noble to stay away from visa matters most times as you don't even have any guarantee on the visa you want to apply for someone. I know of a girl who was a victim, the person she applied the visa from took the money and varnished and she has to be accountable to her friends and family back home as she struggles to pay back the debt.

Note:1 Dirham is about 60 Naira

Of course anywhere you see Nigerians, Indians, Pakistanis and Chinese corruption is guaranteed, do you think people hate us for nothing?

Ok you need to send her your tenancy agreement/mortgage paper, 6months payslip and bank statement, data page of your passport and IV.

What i listed above alone will not get her a visa if she got no tie to Nigeria.

As bad as it seems this is the reality here. She could be innocent and have a clean motive. I am yet to see an unskilled or semi-skilled Direct employment which was done for free. The cost mostly depends on the salary with Taxi driving and security jobs being the most expensive. These jobs pay better than many other unskilled jobs. I'm not advocating for agents but the system here is a little bit bogus. Anyone here understands this and that's the bitter truth. Most Indians and Pakistanis dictates the tunes in this game so it's not a Nigerian thing alone.

This is not about doing it for free and nobody is even discussing that here. This is about charging your fellow Nigerians 2-3 times the cost of the deal. Its greediness and heartless thing to do.

Yes you will not get a penny back because your gf's share is there so will not be in a hurry to give it back to you.

If you have invested too much on it and have nothing better doing in Nigeria then gamble it and learn from it.

Don't risk your 550k to an Agent or friend. Get a visit visa and come search for job yourself.

usa is nice but got ghettos mostly the big cities also got nice neighborhoods...more like a lekki and A.J city stuff in lagos. life is not as easy as people make it seem. u pay for everything you use/need and its an interest based economy..meaning if you do pay mtn 2300 monthly phone bill u could decide not to pay and stay a month off...in usa you get disconnected completely and you pay the bill plus interest to reconnect may be like 2700 naira. it is actually the head office of capitalism and expertism where an engineer only gets paid when there is contract and gets fired after contract. no running at a lose in the country. govt can pay, they sack without mercy and probably deceive you by giving you change as unemployment benefit. u literally live on credit card unless u decide to be stingy with spending which is unnigerian........u keep deceiving ur self life is advanced in usa but u dont afford what your colleagues in nigeria can WITHOUT gbese...finally ask urself this question...why do americans work two or three jobs including the so called RN's? my gee BILLS....hardly any nigerian works two jobs. i rest my case

Let's try to be very careful, truthful and apply wisdom in our dealings since some of us have refused to change.

Be careful with people asking you to pm them for an accommodation they have or want to share. Not everyone is truly genuine or truthful. Some just want to take advantage of others . There are genuine, tested and trusted accommodation, pls make use of them to avoid stories that touch.

Do you mind explaining more maybe somebody will help her with accommodation considering the baby?
