No I am not, I work in a construction company and I invest my savings on used cars from the states... Once the vehicles gets to Nigeria, I give them to my friend who is a dealer to sell and we share profit , The funds paid yesterday wasn't paid into my salary account let me know what you think as I am ready to go submit next week .
Leave the money out of your application because you will struggle to prove the source with paper evidence

Good evening everyone, I stumbled on this thread whilst threading online for some help and was hoping someone could please help me shed some light into this form me.

I am a british citizen, live in the UK and work here as well as my husband and children, I have just invite pd my immediate younger sister to come visit and meet my littlw son, I have invited her to come celebrate my sons first birthday party.

I supplied all my documents, my work documents with good income, my husbands pds documents and statements as well as mine, house documents, passports, pictures, name i even supplied my bank statements in Nigeria.

My sister just finished serving and has a job offer which she is meant to start end of oct and she is meant to come for 4 weeks before she starts, she is married with 2 kinds and would be leaving her family behind, she included the evidence of her kids and letter from her hubby.

I wrote a personal letter stating the relationship which is very obvious as we included all our pictures. Even baby pictures and I stated that I understand she is about to start work and that I would be responsible for every expenses of her trip, which I am capable of doing and that we would accommodate her, in fact I paid for her application fee with my card.

To cut the long story short, she was refused today with the reason below

You state that you are supported by your family and have no current income, I note that you submitted documents for your sponsors, I recognise that it is stated that your sponsor propose to bear the cost of the trip however I must take into account your personal economic and personal circumstances in nigeria when coming to my decision. On the basis of evidence provided you appear to have little source of personal income or asset in your country, in the light of all above, I consider that you have failed to show sufficient strong economic ties to satisfy me that on the balance of probability that you intend to leave the UK on the end of a short visit.

This to me is very annoying as I do not think they expect someone who has just finished NYSC and waiting to start a new job to have. Lot of income, is having a sponsor willing to carry everything not good enough, are her kids that she is leaving behind not enough.

I intend to send an email clarifying These assumptions but would really appreciate any help or insight on the right direction.

Thanks in advance
Its two ways thing....both of you have to meet the requirement and in this case you met the requirement but unfortunately your sister did not.

Let her start her job first and apply after sometimes in the job, that will strengthen her tie to Nigeria

Thank you so much, appreciate ur reply, So this is what I explained in d space, please is it ok or I should add to it thanks.......

[b]MY LAST VISIT TO THE U.S.A WAS ON AN EXCHANGE STUDENT VISA (J1), BUT MY STATUS WAS LATER CHANGED (PETITIONED) ON THE 12TH OF MARCH 2013 INTO A STUDENT VISA (F1) BY THE SCHOOL (INLINGUA) APPLIED FOR IN VIRGINIA IN OTHER TO IMPROVE MY LISTENING, WRITING AND READING SKILLS IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE. THE REASON FOR THIS IS TO START MY MASTERS DEGREE IN HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT AND ALSO CUT THE COST AND STRESS OF HAVING TO RETURN BACK TO MY COUNTRY OF CITIZENSHIP AND THEN STARTING THE PROCESS OF APPLYING FOR A STUDENT VISA ALL OVER AGAIN. THIS WAS ALSO AN URGENT AND REASONABLE SOLUTION AT THAT TIME IN ORDER TO AVOID BEING OUT OF STATUS BEFORE THE ACADEMIC YEAR FOR MASTERS BEGINS AND TO WRITE GMAT EXAM WHICH WAS A COMPULSORY REQUIREMENT FOR MASTERS APPLICATION IN THE UNIVERSITY I APPLIED TO THEN, UNFORTUNATELY, DUE TO MY MOTHER FALLING CRITICALLY ILL AND OTHER UNCALCULATED ADVERSE CIRCUMSTANCES, MY ATTENTION AND SUPPORT WAS HIGHLY NEEDED, I WAS PROMPTED TO HEAD BACK TO MY COUNTRY OF CITIZENSHIP.

You didnt get me!
Okay, I said I explained in the additional info the source of the extra monies that are not my salary.
I put there categorically that 'by virtue of my job, I earn additional income apart from my salary and these are the money that enter into my account. Although this money varies i.e not constant and not a fixed sum.

I did not even move money around, ple I do extra jobs for pay into these accounts.

I stated further that the over 300k in my account is from the savings from these different extra jobs.

My husband submitted personal tax clearance, registration Doc, personal account statement
Yes I get that but the deposit in your account is far more than your actual salary and so the source of that amount need to be supported with paper evidence. Your explanation did not convince the ECO and that is understandable.

Your husband needed to submit his business account, personal account(savings or current), tax certificate(that will determine the state of his business) and business registration papers

Thanks.
I outlined the extra money in my Account as additional info. I think that was not considered.

Pls just tell me what yu think. This is my second refusal and I dont want a bad record. Loll
You did not help your application by moving money around within your accounts with no reason.

When you don't have any other source of income apart from your salary then moving money into that account and used the same account for visa application is a bad idea.

What document did your husband submitted to support his application as a business owner?

@justwise iblaw Vicjustice Please I need you to help review this if it makes sense

The cost of the aeroplane, boat or train tickets 807

The cost of your accommodation 175 GBP (7 nights) Hostel

The cost of your living expenses 300

What is the cost to you personally of your trip in GBP(£)? 1282

The total amount of money you have for this trip 1282
Those are questionable.... 807K for flight? That is about £2,551.89 in today's official exchange rate

Hotel for 7 days 175? naira or £?

Are these figures in naira or £s?

Good Day Bro Justwise.

My partner has withdrawn his application because of his PMP Exam.

Since we are yet to book an appointment, I decided to fill another application since I mentioned I was traveling with my partner in Previous application.

Hope this is permissible because I was given another GWF reference number. I will do the booking and submit application tomorrow.

And also I noticed in this section of the online form 'UK Organisation Section' There are two questions.

(1) Who invited you to the UK? first name and family name. I inputted N/A since it is a business visit. Or should I put in the company name in both First name and Family name?

(2) What Institution, Business or Organisation will you visit? I inputted correctly the company's name and address.

Please forgive me if I bother you so much because I know you have been so helpful in this question even though you have answered it before.

What is the cost to you personally of your trip in GBP(£)? I inputted 200 GBP because I will spend that from my own personal account which I am submitting and not the company's account for the trip. The company's account will take care of accommodation, feeding, air plane ticket, transportation totaling 1,200 GBP. Please if it is ok, let me quickly pay for appointment.

BREAKDOWN

(1)What is the cost to you personally of your trip in GBP(£)? 200

(2)The total amount of money you have for this trip 1309

(3)The cost of the aeroplane, boat or train tickets 774

(4)The cost of your accommodation 165 three days

(5)The cost of your living expenses 170

My Company is paying for the trip.

(6)How much will they be paying towards your trip (in GBP £)? 1109

(7)What is the total amount in GBP(£)? 1109

Don't get offended that I asked again for the last time. I just want to get it right this time.

GOD bless
That is not a problem at all, submit your application and the breakdown as we have discussed last week or so

Hello everybody,
I have just been refused visa to the UK. Dunno what to say but I feel my application was misinterpreted or they did not read clearly.
Please, I want you all to look at the reasons and critically dissect same. lollll

1. You stated in your application that you are employed as xxxxxxxxx with xxxxxxx and earn 90,000(289.03pds) per month. You have supplied an employment letter and payslips to support this.

2. You state the cost of this visit to you personally as 1,555 GBP. As evidence of personal funds you have submitted bank statement from:

a. Xxxxxxxx bank for an account in your name with a balance of 367,231.85 (1,179.35). however, I note that there are large and irregular deposits entering the account in addition to your salary. For example between 05/05/2015 and 07/05/2015 (emphasis mine pls) these deposits amounted to N250,000. These deposits are inconsistent with the account history and your stated income.

the underlined: I can’t believe they will expect me not to run my account even as far back as MAY.

b. Xxxxx Bank for an account in your name with a balance of 71,314.27. However, I note that the balance of this account has been significantly inflated by large deposits amounting prior to your application. E.g 820,000 on 11/5/2015, 70,000 on 15/06/15 and 100,000 0n 23/07/15. These deposits are inconsistent with the account history and your stated income.

NOTE: I stated in my application that my job is such that brings me extra income apart from my regular salary and this is paid into my account although it varies. did they not see this additional info?

NOTE again that I stated that my husband is my sponsor. We were both refused and the reasons are:
1. You stated in your application that you are self-employed and earn 300k per month. In support of this you have provided business registration documents, personal tax document and personal xxxxbank statements. However, the documents supplied do not support the xxxxx ltd is a currently trading and profitable organization generating the level of income stated above. From the information on your application form and document you have submitted, you have not shown that your employment and income is as stated.

QUESTION: Pls what does the bolded mean?

2. As evidence of funds you have submitted bank statement from xxxx bank for an account in your name with a balance of N5,432,127.26. However, the documents you have submitted do not sufficiently demonstrate the origin of the funds shown in the bank statements. i am therefore not satisfied that these statements are reliable evidence of your financial circumstances or ability to fund your proposed visit.
NOTE: We planned to visit UK for 5 days from Paris next month and we submitted evidence of accommodation; hotel we booked for the 5days which included free breakfast.

Please, help me check them out. I don’t intend to apply soon but my husband’s friend said we should write a letter to correct some of these issues. What do you ple think please.

this is the second time i will be refused. the last was in 2012. reason is that i did not submit my proof of earning. i submitted now and also stated there in the application to clarify why i did not submit it.

Thank you.

cc: Justwise, Vicjustic, OGreene, Iblaw .pls, make una tell me which way. thanks

Hello Justwise and all,

I am having difficulties paying for my Uk application.

Have even gotten people to use their MasterCard Securecode to process payment and it ends up unsuccessful.

I cant get Securecode from my gtb because they are delaying in uploading my naira ATM card details to my internet banking portal.

Pls is this related to CBN policy of $300 maximum withdrawal? if so how can I go about it.

I went to Teleperformance office in VI and no help there.
This is a common question here but unfortunately i don't know the answer, it will be nice of somebody can give a possible solution to this

Hi justwise and other gurus in the house. Thanks for everything. I just got my visa. Please, I am looking for an Abuja to Glasgow flight, and the cheapest I saw is emirates, but it is 22 hours via Dubai. British airways is the shortest but is more expensive. Please, is Emirates going to be very stressful, or should I just choose it. Please I really need urgent answers from those that have experience with Emirates and British airways.
Never used emirates before only used British airways, KLM and air France

This is more realistic budget, but not the only reason for the refusal, so can you convince the ECO that the course is directly linked to your current job and how it will benefit you?

Hello,

Firstly, I would like to thank all the moderators and contributors of this website for all the good things and initiatives they have created for everyone here. I get a lot of insights in this website and I believe that it has helped many people and will help even more.

My issue concerns the dilemma that I find myself into. I got the French citizenship last month and I have been working and saving a lot in order to go to the UK and start my life there. (I have never been to England before but I have € 5000 in savings). But what I have been reading of late is that there are few employment opportunities there. I dont have a college education but I have a vast experience in factory work and restaurants as waiter and cleaner.

I'm currently employed with a gross annual income of around € 10,000 euros.

For those who live there, I want to know if it is worth it for me to leave this place and immigrate to the UK with the prospects of a better job? I really dont want to go back to school because I'm getting to my late 30's. Please enlighten me on this and tell me the best places to go. I hear that London is very expensive.

I will be very grateful for any contribution and God will bless you.

Mary
Out of that how much do you spend on rent and bills in France?

US embassy it's just for making money from the lesser Nigerians which they are so sure they won't grant their visa for just any body. It could be painful, after passing through a lot and been denied.
I have a solution: Don't apply for American visa and if them 'invite' you again to apply sue them
