tsd: Hello, @ Lady G,Justwise and Great Guys in the House !
I am planning to apply for B1/B2 Visa, but not sure of the option to use, either to apply as Family or as a Single applicant(on Conference) I am married with two kids,a Chartered Accountant working with one firm with an average monthly salary of NGN225,000 and my wife works with one of this top bank, with same average monthly salary.
Note 1) We both got a Tanzania Visa,on our passport for April, but couldn't visit due to some reasons, hence, both of us got no travel history. (2)My Wife got her Blood Brother and family in US,who can send us invitation ( just vacation visit). (3)I am trying to apply for a conference, maybe I should use that means, since the family doesn't have the travel history. (4) We are both planning to have our leave for December at both places of work .
Question 1) Pls advice on the most suitable and realistic option to follow in securing my visa, without prior travel experience, on either to go alone or to go with my family. (2) May I know the average amount I should have in my Account if am going alone, and if going as a family? There is no point using conference if you are not actually going for one, its an abuse of that system and it cost conference organizers a lot to put it together then some people book for conference but never turned up and end up denying genuine attendees the opportunity. Book for hotel accommodation if you got nobody to accommodate you |

Sotchaa: Hi Justwise, VicJustice, O'Green et al...please help.
I need some clarification. I went to the UK for a few days in december. However, the day i got in, i got a stomach bug from some food i had and was so sick i had to be rushed to A & E. I was rehydrated, given antibiotics and left that same day. All free of charge, and they were aware i was a visitor. My question is now that i'm re-applying, how do i answer the 'have you ever received medical treatment in the uk' question? If yes, how do i fill the contact as i don't even know this. Also, can this cause any issue with my application?
Thanks People have given you good advice, don't withhold the info when asked in the form, explain what happened and state that you were not given any bill to pay that you are willing to do that if and when the bill comes |

gentlestrides: @justwise. Please I need advice. I applied for a student visa in August and was refused based on the following grounds: 1. That I have not provided any explanation why I choose to study again after 7years of finishing my 1st degree.(there was no column or section in application to explain this, which I would have done) 2. I do not yet have a living arrangement in the UK(I was asked but answered the interviewer that I intend to rent a private accommodation very close to school, and would want to inspect accommodation on arrival before payment) 3. That I did not know how much my travel costs will be (I answered interviewer if it was travel cost from Nigeria to UK,he said No but from my intended accommodation to school, and I said I wasn't so sure of the cost) 4. You have not provided any evidence of your personal financial circumstances with your application(i think I made an error in ticking "evidence of funds held by me" in my self assessment form)
I am been sponsored by my State Government and provided all required documents to that effect,i was given all 40points for the PBS and now been refused based in interview questions.
Please how can I tackle these discrepancies, and can I reapply with new evidences? Please advise on how to resolve these issues as I resume in few weeks and would want to reapply using the Priority service option.
Thanks as I await your response on this regards. 1.Do you work with your state govt and for how long? |

I'm running a family business here and I have good money in my personal acct, also have property inheritance from my dad,dat worth good money. I'm married with a kid. Have never been out of nija before, I applied for UK visa, 4years ago but got deny cus I didn't include my marriage pic and was giving an appeal but didn't follow up due to no time. My passport have expired this yr., what advice or guideline, can u give to me before I do another passport and apply for USA visiting or tourist visa..I just want to go on holiday, not to stay in USA. I don't know anybody in USA, I will pay for my hotel and other places I wish to visit. Thank u in advance Sir/Ma Don't change any detail because of the refusal, you don't need to know anybody in US you can use hotel accommodation. If the money for the holiday will be coming from your actual business capital and not your profit then you probably need to reconsider the idea of traveling to US for holiday. |

His petition below... My name is Lekan Kamson Odesanya, I am a 33 years old Nigerian DJ and photographer living at 58 stow crescent London e17. I came into UK in 2004 with a student visa and I was one month late to renew my visa which by law is an immigration offense. I was arrested on my way back from a gig with Tim Westwood in 2007 October 5th. I was granted a temporary admission to remain in UK since 8th of October 2007 with conditions I must report at London Bridge Becket house weekly.. I have been signing in at becket house since 2007 till august 2015 ,i took permission from home office to marry Miss L in 2009, i was granted yes to go ahead , in june 2009 i married my 2 years girlfriend and after this i applied for work permit to work and take care of myself and my wife since she is yet to complete a micro biology course at university, i was told to tell my wife to stop her education and move back to nigeria with me , they rejected my application on this reason , i filled in for reconsideration (appeal) which i was told i was entitled to , they wrote me to still keep signing that they will consider and get back to me from 2009 till september 22nd 2014 when i went to sign in at London bridge as usual , they forcefully carried me into a Bullion Van , Drove me to Dover Prison and kept me there for 17 days , i didn't eat (not that they didn't offer me) i was praying to God to come help me Out , A judge looked into my matter and ordered that i be released because i have been compliant , the 2 things the home office put on my name as criminal offence is Driving without insurance and Using swear word . i have never broken the law of England ,i have never post a threat or fraud or theft of anything . i don't claim any benefit or funds . i am a dj and god has blessed me with skills , i make T shirts too and i am good with children . I was released from Dover prison in October 2014 on the order of the judge who said i am eligible to remain in the united kingdom that all i need is a good lawyer and sort myself out , (i have been my own lawyer since after 2009). when i came out of dover i continue going to sign as it is requested on my bail until 13th of August when i went to sign and i had realised they were gonna take me to dover again , i escaped by saying i was going to toilet .. This Monday 24th august 2014 the immigration told police to come and bring me to them that i had escaped deportation , they came with 2 vans , i find a way to run away from them barefooted , they chased me i broke 2 ankles and was gushing blood i never stopped , i hid in between a thorn tree and covered myself with the leave , they called in chopper which was searching for almost 2 hours , God did not let them see me because my neighbours kept distracting them i am not a criminal or animal , i almost lost my life , i bleed so much a passer bye wept and cleaned me , i couldn't go to hospital because i am afraid of immigration , my 20 years old brother who is a talented footballer is a father , i am my brothers father ,i am all that he has left as Father Figure, i need to help my brother raise his son and be a good uncle ,it is our custom and tradition , Separating me and my brother and My First and Only Nephew will kill me more , i don't feel my immigration status because of my family around they give me the joy i know and thats why i am able to make thousands happy despite my situation , i have build a business here in uk , i distributed the afro beat music in uk taking Parties from London to coventry , everything about me is online , i am a devoted christian , i am lekan kamson odesanya (google me ) i need someone to help me , i am going to die please help i am 33 years old and stuck .
http://lindaikeji..com/2015/08/man-petitions-uk-homeland-over-plans-to.html The story does not add up and the part he claimed not to gave broken law in England is just nonsense. All these self-pity immigration stories doesn't move me. Playing the marriage card does not always work. |

ugojay: I hrd that one would be required to show her bank statement to the immigration and also during enrolment at school.my question now is, am I to submit the bank statement that I used for the visa application(which dated July) or to print anoda bank statement closer to the day I'm travelling?and also i hav made d full tuition fees payment so the previous balance is not d same as now.
pls I need u guys advice on this--Justwise and SpikeC help. . Don't disregard that info because its possible but its not a written rule or policy. Immigration can randomly ask you to show any document at POE bank statement included. Some schools are getting desperate to keep their sponsorship license and can do anything just to prove to UKBA that they admit genuine students. |

Labhii: Yes i noticed but i just want to be sure of the chances i have and also i have few more questions as to the documents i want to submit which are as follows:
Instead of using my dad's company accounr again I was thinking of using his personal account with a reference letter from him or should i just use the updated company account with a reference letter from the company since he owns it.
Additionally i was thinking of using my other account since i pay my salary in myself so it would indicate that i receive monthly payments because I don't have a payslip from work, they pay cash.
Thanks in advance. That is just the right thing to do... leave his company's account out of it and use his personal with reference letter then use the account where your salary goes into |

Labhii: Hello everyone, I'm new here so i really don't know how this works but I'd be brief with my enquiry.
I applied for a 6 months family visitor UK visa last 3 weeks and attached the following documents with my application;
Invitation letter from my brother from the UK His payslips for the past 4 months His tenancy agreement for where he lives A copy of the front page of his German Passport My own statement of account which really doesn't state the inflow of my salary because my employer pays cash My dad's company bank account since he is sponsoring about 60% of my trip
But I got refused and the reasons are stated below;
-No reference letter from my dad stating that he would truly sponsor part of my trip and that he has access to the funds in the company account.
-No documents such as my payslips to show that i got paid by my employer and also my statements doesn't show my employer paying in.
-No reference letter from my employer stating that I am truly employed by them.
-They don't believe i truly have the funds to foot part of my trip to the UK
So i was asked to either provide compelling documents to back up my application and claims or my application would be refused if I reapply.
Please i need help on what documents should be attached when reapplying so that I don't get refused again.
Thanks in advance for your support. That have been given to you already |

claremont: Anyone going to University of Sunderland and in need of accommodation?!
A 2-bedroom accommodation is available for rent on a single room basis. The room in question is bigger than a double bedroom as it's a converted living room. The cost is all inclusive of rent, electric and water, super-fast internet, council tax, double bed, fridge and all the other student furnishing comforts. The cost is also heavily discounted because I'm keen to helping my fellow Nigerians settle in a comfortable accommodation whilst studying. There is another smaller room in the property which I will be keeping for myself for anytime I come visiting, so in essence, the student will be living in the full house alone for the price of a room. I'm sure the student will live like a King in this property, I wish I had all these comforts many years ago when I studied in Sunderland rather than living in the overpriced boxes that where the university halls of residence.
PM me for more information. Apologies to moderators, I'm only doing my bit to help a Nigerian/African settle down in the cold north-east England. You are not a suspect |

FrontPageLawyer: A pleasant morning to you Prof. Justwise.
I had same problem using my GTB Naira MasterCard which has no online bank access.
Apparently If you you don't have an online access, using most Nigerian Cards won't work.
I had no problem using my FirstBank Naira Master Card. It has online banking access and I was asked to register for OTP (One-Time Password) which I did.
Once the payment was initiated, it requested for my OTP which was automatically sent to my mobile phone linked to my account in less than 30 seconds.
I inputted the numbers and transaction was successful.
