usr249: Hello everybody,
I think some people are taking this too far. I was the one who asked the question. Can we all cease fire. I think we have discussed this enough and we can focus on other issues. I am not an expert on immigration issues and I have come here to learn so much. I was deliberating between asking for an extension to allow the cheques to clear first or to just send the statement together with copies of the cheques that are yet to clear. I was confused and did not know what to do. Wait until you are in a state of confusion like that. Just stop attacking people. We are all hear to learn and to help each other. I think enough has been said already. Let this matter rest.
Thanks. What is so secret about that question that needs private discussion? We are not attacking anybody you are the one that sees it as an attack. And..this issue of PM for certain issues have been going on here for far too long and need to stop |

zandora: I agree with Dustydee here. If one were to be given legitimate advice regarding POF then why shouldn't this be posted publicly, why should it be posted via PM? I just don't get it, it's not as if you're revealing personal details on here.
You also mentioned about maintaining the forums' reputation by not discussing POF here, this makes no sense. The forum's reputation will only be tarnished if people give illegal or shoddy advice regarding POF. There is still hope for Nigeria with more people like you. |

tola73: There are some issue that we cannot be discussing publicly as we don't know who is monitoring this thread. I consider it like an insult the way you attack me. I only wanted to offer assistance here. I think I will mind my business from now on That is not an attack he is just stating the fact, your constant request for PM is killing this thread and its ant-traffic, there is nothing about this thread that can not be discussed openly here. What are you afraid of saying here? |

ANBAKO: What is legitimate? To have a private discussion with a fellow being? Did I mentioned that the people mentioned advocated for things to be done wrongly?
Taking the discussion of POF off the forum is to maintain the reputation of the forum nothing more. Since you said it that only the guilty are afraid then leave them to be afraid and do their thing outside the forum so as not to "tarnish" everyone's image.
Good luck. It shouldn't be supported here or in private, it damages Nigeria reputation, you people should stop encouraging this. |

dustydee: That shouldn't be a problem if it is legitimate. Only the guilty are afraid. Those people you mentioned always advocated that things be done the right way so no need to hide. Couldn't have said it any better. |

Presently shes having 420k in her account.
However, I tried checking for available date in August at the VI Center but all i can see are dates between 10th -14th and nothing more, but Ikeja dates too plenty. Do you know if they will still open the last week of August in V.I center just like that of Yankee / Absolutely no idea, you may have to check their website for opening times |

PRYCE: Hey Justwise! Good job you doing here!
Please few questions: I have an unconditional offer to Robert Gordon University Scotland. I'm on the verge of gaining scholarship by God's Grace! My question is when I get the funds into my account at a single drop won't it arouse suspicion? I mean I heard that you must have the needed amount in your account 6 months earlier.... meaning it can't be e.g 4 million OPENING and 4 million Closing. What am I to do in this case That is false, you only need the money there for 28days before making your student visa application. You can deposit the money at once of bit by bit until you have the required amount then from that day start counting the 28days rule. |

Crich: Hello guys. Glory to God. I was delayed yesterday based on four reasons: Insufficient funds, travel history, personal asset, and family ties in Canada n Nigeria.
Truth be told, this CIC style of processing applications for months is the worst ever. They need to review it. Na their mate be USCIS.
So, after rejoicing with you guys and my family for 1 weeks, I received a shocker. Lol! I'm still trying to recuperate. This is a very bad feeling. All guys expecting TRV, my candid advise, to avoid hypertension, kindly prepare for the worst. If you have been called for medical, pls, know that that DOESN'T guarantee a TRV. This is my story.
Chai! So, you guys will be consoling me now. Hahahahahahahahaha! Sorry to hear that, that must be a very difficult feeling but don't give up yet. I really admire your positive mindset. |

bestestgirl: Hi guys, so I have been a ghost viewer on this thread since I started an online programme and I intend to go for my grad . I must say that anyone who reads these pages does not need a travel agent at all. kudos to justwise and others. Anyway my question is concerning validity of the passports; the time frame between the grad date and the expiration of my passport is about 4 months and I remember reading somewhere that you need at least six months validity. my question is that this requirement is not stated anywhere in the newly updated requirements found here https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/423699/2015_04_20_Visitor_Supporting_Documents_Guide_-_Final__2__-_CLEAN.pdf
Should I just take the risk and apply? or should I kukuma cancel my passport and do a fresh one?
Thanks Guys Renew your passport before making an application, 6 months validity is a general requirement |

thesoj: I see where you are coming from. But see, thanks to Edward Snowden, we now know to not believe false promises of respect of privacy by the US government. Do you follow American news? If so, you would find out that the US Government arrogates to itself the rights to violate its own promises of privacy (even to its own citizens and residents, let alone noncitizens applying for visas). Lots of Edward Snowden leaks confirmed this. In any case, the Globe and Mail article (a credible newspaper) I posted is 99.99% likely true given that it was not disputed by any of the US or Canadian immigration official quoted, and given that there are plentiful precedents. Whatever is written on the official document you quote is truly written there, but then America/Canada and its allies do what they want regardless. Cheers. The larger point here is let's not make overconfident assertions without leaving room for alternate opinions.
Edited: Articles on CIC and US State Department websites confirming sharing of visa applicant information-- http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/media/backgrounders/2012/2012-12-13.asp http://www.state.gov/r/pa/prs/ps/2012/12/202065.htm @darefestus and @Shegzy2912, hope you are reading; you all stand corrected. SeraSera: Great! Now we're all on the same page. two of you will come back to this same argument next year, its yearly thing here is travel section. Somebody who wants to circumvent the system will bring it up just to be sure that he will not be caught then people who wants to do the same or people who have done it will spring up to assure him that US and Canada don't share info. |

5. The church is providing for her wellbeing in the UK and I believe feedin and transportation should be included.
She earns a salary of 200K monthly and presently she has like 400-500k in her account, is that OK ?... although I have advise her to book for the cheapest airflight of like 550 and also go with like 200pound, making altogether 750pounds@313 Naira= 234,750k as money available for the trip since the accommodation part has been taken care of. Her account balance is so meager Becos she just bought some parcel of land in March. You need to be certain about that because it is material to her visa application, and she also need to know exactly how much the flight ticket will cost...no guess work or estimate |

jobaltol: Good day
I recently won a masters scholarship to study in a skul in the UK. Five yrs ago, I was denied visa wen I wanted to attend the graduation of my cousin due to insufficient ties to Nigeria and bank statement errors. Now,while filling d form online, there wasn't enough space to write out al d reasons for denial of visa den, so I was advised to write insufficient ties to Nigeria since d new scholarship doesn't need my personal bank statement...pls I hope, it isn't withdrawal of info... Also, I was advised earlier on not to seek for accomodation in the skul because it is expensive, so I intend seeking for accomodation outside the campus. So if asked about where I intend staying in the UK, wat do u tink I shud tel dem at d visa office...
Lastly, I rounded up my Nigerian masters programme( did project defense)...but nt yet given certificate/statement of result to back it up...so if asked that wat av I bin doing since graduation, should I tel dem I just finished my masters programme... won't dey ask for documents to back it up...pls am eager for genuine answer...thanks What was the error that lead to the visa refusal? |

My company has been invited by a UK engineering company for pre-inspection of equipment which we acquired for a university here in Nigeria under a Government contract.
The documents I have available are as follows:
(1) Invitation letter (2) Marriage certificate (3) Children birth certificates (4) Wedding photographs (5) Evidence of business activities (6) Certificate of incorporation (7) Company tax clearance certificate ( Personal Income Tax card. (9) Statements of account for the last 6 months. (company) (10) Hotel reservation. (11) Explanatory details of how the trip will be beneficial to us.
Because my personal statement of account has only 400k. I have decided not to include it, but use the company's account for the trip. Please advise.
Thank you for your time and assistance. You need to include your payslip and salary account |

ArikeGZ: Good morning all.
Please I am new to this thread but from the information I have scanned through I want to commend you all for setting up this platform to guide people like me. Please @Justwise and all the good contributors and pple of the thread, I am in urgent need of help and guidance for my aunty. My aunty applied for a tourist visa in May and was denied. the reasons given are stated below
1.You are a first time visitor in the Uk and stated that the purpose of your trip is to visit your cousin. However ur application does not provide any evidence to suggest that you are related as claimed or of any contact between you.lack of such evidence leads me to doubt you are a genuine sponsor. 2. You have indicated that you are a teacher with ..... earning .... You have submitted photocopies of Bank Statement and letter from a cooperative (...)indicating that you received large deposit of N1m into your acct. while these are photocopies of the original there is the possibility that during the copying process changes may have been made, such as to amend names, addresses and dates.Consequently in the absence of original documents, these copied documents that you have submitted are of little evidential value. I am therefore not convinced that you have satisfactorily evidenced ur earnings and financial circumstances. 3.The above circumstances undermine the overall credibility of the application to the extent that d balance of probability I am not satisfied that your circumstances are as ..........
Please note that she submitted payslips, bank statement and letter from her cooperative and the state govt where she teaches. All these were original copies.
Please how does she respond to this. she want to submit the application today/tmrw to enable her do biometrics on monday.
I appreciate ur advise n contributions in advance. Can you list those documents she is submitting now? |
