YourMain: Lol. Where the fragile ego kicks in. If the only way you can demand respect is financially then you're already at a loss. Why would you want to be with a woman that has no respect for you or that you have no respect for.
Imo, it's about mutual respect and understand. What is yours is mine and what is mine is yours. If you can't pay the phone bill ill pay it or if I can't pay the mortgage you pay it. Who cares who's bring the money in. You're in competition with your spouse, you're meant to love him her.
I don't believe it needs to be a situation of, I've money and you don't so you respect me. That's not really respect then. That money can go anytime and then what will yous have ? Very easy to say that but in practice its a different ball game, you can preach all that when the relationship/marriage is new and fresh...wait until the chips are down or when you have an argument then you will know what she really think of you and the situation. |

YourMain:
That is a really disgusting and ignorant thing to think about a group of people.
You have zero right to speak of women in such manner. If you Nigerian men didn't have such fragile little egos you would sit back and allow women to be the breadwinners. But you don't. You frown at a woman who is more successful than you in life, then have the audacity to complain.
Unintelligent with low IQs ? Do you realize how ignorant you sound. You should be absolutely disgusted with yourself. Why would any man Nigerian or not allow that? Women have little or no respect for any man who is not commanding his home financially, allow a woman to be a bread winner she will walk all over you, she will have no respect for you. You will always be reminded who pays the bills, its a suicide mistake for any man to make in a marriage in Nigeria or outside Nigeria, even in relationships don't allow your girlfriend to pick up bills. If you don't have money then marriage is not for you. |

spikesC: I believe what she meant is it being a bit outdated. I feel so about information too Then she can ask specific question because some of the things she talked about has been discussed here and the situation still remain the same...e.g school accommodation vs private renting, getting part time job, best network to call Nigeria with...etc I just think that sometimes people don't bother to read threads if its longer than one page |

malaoluolateju: Morning sir, thank you for getting back. well my Employer is friends with my brother, and my brother and suggested we make him look like the sole sponsor (he has sooo much in his acct and thinks it will look good for d application). But in actual sense, my brother will be the one sponsoring.
That's the true picture of things, I just need ur honest opinion whether to use my employer or not.
Thanks Let your brother sponsor you since he can afford it, it makes no business sense for your employer to invest that much on you alone and get nothing back. This is the right thread https://www.nairaland.com/2367106/travelling-canada-part-8/215#2367106.6899 |

bims87: Hello Justwise, newcomer here, pls help me out. Pls, my mum and my sis who is over 20yrs and a masters student will be applying for UK visas. My mum is a frequent flyer to UK n her 5yr visa just expired so she's renewing while my sis has never had a UK visa even though she was refused few yrs ago. They would be using my mum's statement of account and also an invitation letter that has both dre names.
1.Is it possible they put their application together like a family application? Bear in mind that my mum ll be applying for 2 yrs and my sister 6months. Can they just print out a copy of the statement?
2.My mum is a business woman and she got all her previous visas together with my dad who is now late(died early this year). My dad(he was a biz man too)used to serve as the sponsor for them both then and they use his property docs as supporting docs. Hope she can still use the docs for her n my sister's application now? 3. My bro in the UK would be having a surgery and the hospital has given him an invitation letter for my mum n sis. He therefore transferred funds into my mum's account to show he will be responsible for dre travelling expenses. My sis will also print her personal account to show her monthly allowances. Do u think we are on track as regards this application? Please help out. God bless you 1. Yes they can make the application together but why is your mum applying for 2 yrs from 5 yrs? 2. Yes she can use the same documents as long as they are still valid 3. Your mum needs to explain the transfer into her account |

Timeless1: Thanks justwise for your response. My monthly salary is 262k but what reflects in my salary account monthly is always higher than that because some casual staffs' (I.T students, cleaners, washers etc) monthly payments are added to my salary so I can withdraw cash and pay them by hand. Attach your payslip since it shows the actual monthly salary and use the space in the to explain the differences in your salary account just like you did here |

deniike: I quite agree no current survival tips here, the students are not really talking things like the favourable bank to set up with or whether it is preferable to swipe cards alone? We don't knw The expensive food items dere, we dnt knw if it would be a waste of time to take some food items, we dont have an updated idea of food items that would be allowed? We don't knw the best telcom to set up with? We dont have enough tips on things 2 look out for when getting dat private accommodation everyone suggets? Apart from reading everyday and plagiarism are there other tips 2 note on "acing" exams? What r doz "new" stuffs dat consume cash quickly what stores are we to avoid? Frm what they've seen with students are there other legal ways to make cash? And there again jobs jobs jobs!!!! We need tips current ones..just 2 give us dat advantage!. Epp!! Make this experience worthwhile This shows that you hardly read this thread because almost everything you mentioned above has been discussed here. |

Timeless1: Good day house.
Please I have an issue I will like someone to advice me on. I wish to attend my younger brother's convocation in September. I want to use my salary acct but I don't get a fixed amount as monthly salary simply because I usually have some casual staffs' salaries added to mine and paid into my account and I have to pay them by hand monthly. For the past 6months, my salary shows between 400k and 700k. But I have my monthly payslips which do not tally with the deposits in my salary account. Please how do I convince the visa officer about this? Also there are some deposits of lump sums( 800k and 600k) in my account. These were given to me by my boss to carry out renovation works in the hospital because I am the administrative manager in charge of all administrative and financial duties. Please I will appreciate suggestions on how to go about this.
Thanks Why is your salary not the same monthly? Do you mean you earn 400k some months and 700k the other month? |

zoomzu: Hello Justwise, I bring you greetings from the city of Liverpool. I returned to Nigeria yesterday after spending 6 days as stated in my visa application. Many thanks for your guide during the visa application.
I intend retuning to UK next month to relax and enjoy one month rest because the six days spent was just full of activities from morning till evening attending conference. Hope I could just buy my ticket and go with any other paper work or document incase I am asked at the point of entry why returning to UK? Please Advise. Pretty much....but avoid taking things like CV or certificates...anything that will suggest that you are coming to the UK for anything else other than holiday. |
