@Justwise and all of you, thank you so much, my husband and kids picked up their visas today. they applied July 2 at V/I center, and when there was no email from Teleperformance 6 days after the mail from Sheffield, hubby decided to check today and alas, the passports were available for pick up.

I don't think anyone will go wrong if they follow this thread. Great job everyone, I truly appreciate.
Congratulations!

@justwise I did not submit any sick note from a UK doctor as i am not entitled to access healthcare as a visitor (so i thought)
Yes you are not entitled to free healthcare but you will still be treated but after treatment you will receive the bill.

Hello House, I urge all of you to continue this fight to bring Bosslady back, I know Justwise can do something, whatever wrong she did on her posting to be banned, she didn't do it purposely, for the sake of this thread and for love sake, pls un-ban her let her come back.

She is very helpful here and as Oga Justwise will know deep down in his mind, "she didn't do anything/post on purpose or for personal interests." pls, she is helpful here.

#BringBackOurBossLadyMo#.
There is little or nothing i can do in this case, i have asked and was told that she was banned for spamming which surprises me to say the least considering the length of the ban

You guy can email the admin to plead on her behalf or open a thread in general or food section and politely state your case for her.

@JUSTWISE i told them I was sick and had emotional issue which was true cos i lost my mother to breast cancer in 2012 november i even submitted docs to show for it and i was told its not a valid reason,, sincerely speaking i never knew i could not stay for 4mothns i thought it was possible since i had 6months visa, but i stated in my application form i was only going for 2weeks, please what do i do nowhuh
Did you submit any sick note from a doctor in the UK to support that?

We hard this argument here couples of months ago, for the fact that you were given 6months visa does not mean you can stay as long as you want within that 6months, your visa technically is tired to the number of weeks or months you told them that you will be staying during your application.

There is nothing much you can do now..go ahead and apply for your spouse visa and state honestly what happened and apologise, you may be forgiven or they will refuse you and give you the right of appeal then you take it from there.

Hello everyone,
Please I need your candid opinion, i had my degree in Uk in 2010 i came back to Nigeria 2012, I applied for a 6months visisting visa which was granted, I travelled to Uk and stayed for 4months straight i returned before visa got expired, I applied for another 2years visa but was refused, i re applied for another 6moths which was also refused, I was told by a lawyer to do administrative review which i did and I got a response that admin review is meant for tier 4...I also wrote a personal letter to them stating the reason why i stayed for 4months still the ECO said she wasnt satisfied i would return....to cut the long story short I want to apply for settlement visa in september to join my hubby who is a british citizen.. i hope my previous travel history wont be an issue in this new application...Kindly advice.

That is possible because you have an immigration history which unfortunately is not a good one, staying 4months out rightly is a bad idea only in the case of illness

Hi gurus in the house please i need your help.
i applied for 6 months visitors visa thanks to you guys and the gurus in the forum, i went to write my plab 1 exams in Uk which i passed and will have to go back to UK to write the plab 2.
My visa expires september 3rd and i am due to go to Uk early october, but i am supposed to apply for the exams online asap. my questions are
1. can i apply for visa when my first has not expired
2. business visa or visitors visa which will be best
3. can i use the old documents like tax clearance i used for previous visa applications and others
4. what are my chances since i allready had a 6 months visa and it is not my first time
pls guys awaiting your response thanks a lot.
1. You can apply before it expires.

2. Standard Visitor visa

3. the same set of documents though must be updated especially bank statement.

4. They will still need to treat your application like a first timer but your previous immigration record will be considered.

Foreign Affairs › Re: How Kenyan President Wisely Shut Down Obama On Gay Issue(video) by justwise(m): 10:29am On Jul 26, 2015
brnrdco:
Obama"s Request:

The US believes in the principle of treating people equally under the law and that they are deserving of equal protection under the law.and that the state should not discriminate against people based on their sexual orientation and I say that recognizing that there may be people that have different religious or cultural beliefs but the issue is how does the state operate relative to people. You can look at the history of people around the world. When you start treating people differently not because of the harm they are doing to anybody but because they are different, that's the path whereby freedom is beginning to erode.
If somebody is a law abiding citizen who is going about their business and not breaking any law and obeying the traffic signs and doing all the things good citizens are supposed to do and not harming anybody, the idea they are treated differently based on who they love is wrong. Full stop."he said

Below is Kenyan president, Uhuru Kenyatta's response on the issue

"The fact of the matter is Kenya and US share so many values, democracy, entrepreneurship, family values. These are things we share but there are some things we do not share. Our culture our societies don't accept. Its very difficult for us to be able to impose on people that which they themselves do not accept. This is why I repeatedly say that for Kenyans today, the issue of gayrights is really a non issue. We want to focus on other areas that are day to day living for our people. Our health issues as we have discussed with president Obama. These are critical. Issues of inclusivity of women, a key section of society that is normally left out of the mainstream of economic development. What we can do in terms of infrastructure, Education, Roads, Power and Entrepreneurship. Maybe once like you have overcome some of these challenges we can begin to look at new once but the fact remains that this issue is not one that is in the foremost minds of Kenyans and that is the fact"he said
Very sensible balance view....simply put....treat people equally under the law whether they are gay or not

There is no point sending PM's. Let them share any help they have so that others can learn from it. If everyone sends PM, then what is the point of having this thread huh
Nairaland is indeed a faceless forum where you don't know who you are dealing with. Some people also have multiple ID's used for dubious purposes.
Although virgokobi should have not called tola73 a 419. He could have simply requested that any help should be rendered and discussed in the open.

Hello everyone,

@justwise: I would like to know for someone who has a 180 days multiple entry visa and spent 90 days in the UK in a single trip mainly visiting and touring, then returned to his home country, is there meant to be a waiting period before he can Revisit the UK or can he return as soon as he wishes?

Thanks for your anticipated response.
90 days in one trip?

1. How long did you state that you will be staying during your application?

2. Do you work or own a business?

Nigeria is not eligible for visa lottery for some years now, so please stop pasting questions from scammers here about winning visa lottery you are not eligible to and never played.

The VO has also replied to numerous questions here related to the same scam lottery emails.

That depends on what you have been posting or opposing, the UK or US govt will not penalise you for expressing a legitimate opinion, only if your opinion or view is seen as a security threat.

The pleasure she is deriving from her contribution is beyond reward, and nairaland res valued her for that. Is not about money but the lady's information is robust. In addition, her maturity is superb and never see her uttering any vetuperation to any fellows. I think it is better for the admin to have a set of rule for exemptional circumstances weighing the the power of the information the individual is giving against his or her offence. Justwise, it is imperative the admin put this into consideration.

Things should not work that way, nobody should be above the law no matter how useful that person is, that said, i think there is more to that ban than just those two posts. No mod will ban you for that long for just opening two threads in a section.

I'm suspecting that this is the case of rule: 19. Don't create a new account when banned for breaking a rule. If you do, make sure we don't find out.

How to get a VISIT VISA & FLIGHT TICKET to UAE: There are several websites that appear to have an online facility available for obtaining a UAE entry permit (tourist visa or visit visa). Before handing over money, try to confirm with an official UAE organisation such as the UAE Immigration Ministry if such sources are legitimate. It is possible websites are trying to scam people with these procedures. Remember that normally anyone arranging a visa prior to travelling to the UAE needs to have a sponsor in the UAE - a friend, relative, airline, travel agent, hotel, or company based in the UAE (I'll suggest you deal directly with one of those options, or contact a UAE Embassy, or talk to the airline you are travelling with).

1. www.dubaivisa.net - VFS Global - online visa applications for the use of Emirates Airline passengers only. Related websites are www.qatarairways.com, www.vfsglobal.com. VFS operates a Dubai Visa Processing Centre (DVPC) in several countries.

• Hotels & Tourist Companies can apply, on your behalf, for a Tourist Visa (valid for 30 days); or a Service Visa (valid for 14 days); or a Visit Visa valid for 30 days. Only 1month and 3months visas are Available, no more 1month Extendable Visa.
