SuccessGee:
Hello justwise and the good people here, I have previously applied for a student visa in 2007 and was denied. I never mentioned in my application then that i have a brother in the UK. Now i want to apply for a tourist/visiting visa in December but i am confused if i should state in my application that i have brother in the UK and i will be staying in his apartment thorough out my stay. Also should i use his utility bills, letter of invite etc in my application? or i should not mentioned him at all and state that i will be staying in an hotel instead. Kindly advise.

Thanks
Were you asked in your application then if you have a brother in the UK?

I want to apply for a tier 4 uk student visa.

I got a half-tuition scholarship and I have paid the balance of the school fees. I plan to stay with my aunt who stays close to the school.

I have 2.5 million as maintenance fees. Due to the 28 day rule, I'm qualified to apply on the 19th of december. However, my course start date is 5th January.

Please what is the possibility of being issued a visa and on time. I plan to apply at abuja.
Write your school and request for 2weeks extension, if given then attach the confirmation email to your application package.

I think we should mind them.

This is the kind of mentality that leads to many problems. You do something evil, you tag it the way it suits you and then you are innocent.
This is the mentality that destroys the reputation of Nigerians.
The same mentality that makes a president say that corruption is not stealing.
We deserve the sort of politicians we get because frankly speaking some Nigerians are as bad as those thieving politicians.

A man allegedly married his daughter so as to get British passport and some people are supporting him? Interesting....

angry angry very 0ld news, they are both living in the UK happily now, no one was prosecuted for this alleged crime, because of lack of evidence
I know its an old news but i'm not sure about them living in the UK happily and stuff.

Why did he not take her all these years when she was a kid? He had been a citizen for long and left her here now that she is old he wants to use wuruwuru to take her. Some men sha.
Exactly!! The man has been in the UK for more than 30 years and the daughter is 30 years of age, he did not bring her here through other legitimate means all along but decided to 'marry' her. Rubbish.

Please learn to read and understand. The man is/was a nurse at the Home Office. He is not in the position to deny/grant visas.

IMHO this is no crime. The speed at which such an old story was moved to the front page without any replies makes me suspect you are the whistleblower

I don't care about his position in Homeoffice, He works for the immigration, he is an immigration fraudster. Yes i will report people like him.

My apologies for the hidden posts especially to sensible and helpful members here who have been doing all they can to help and keep this thread going.

I did not want this thread to be derailed by few individuals.

@Solomonwis' keep doing what you are doing, telling people to do the right thing is not always popular especially with some Nigerians.

If i knew that this man is an immigration officer and he is in a position to deny other people visa because of fraud then hey yes! I will report him.

I will go extra ordinary miles to report him, i will not stop until he is necked and locked up.

What loads of nonsense....he has no moral right to deny anybody visa as a result of fraud since he is an immigration fraudster himself.

Good job the whistleblower!! You got the right man.

I don't want to judge this family because I do not know what kind of desperation they went through and I can understand that life in Nigeria can make people do different things but let us call a spade a spade. This is scam. There is no need for euphemisms such as hustle.
100%. A scam committed by somebody who works with immigration.

This is the thing....this same fraudster will have the to gut to deny other people visa because of fraud while himself and the daughter committed the same fraud? I hope he spend time in jail.

Who put this thing on front page?

Did that supermod have to qualify that he's a Nigerian? You Google the word Nigerian and this jumps out at you, and you want to clean the country's image.

Not supporting what they did but the title would have still done fine without the Nigerian tag. Even the op's thread title should have been modified when it got to front page.

I hope this can still be corrected mods, op.

I'm sorry but it will not be corrected because there is nothing wrong with the title , he is Nigerian simple!.

Hello Justwise and DonOms. Please I want to be double sure on this issue.I lodged money in my account on the 18th of November to account for my complete tuition fees and living expenses. I withdrew on the 21st of November to pay for my tuition deposit. The remaining money is more than enough for my tuition and living expenses.Considering my last transaction on the 21st,please when will it be advisable to print out my bank statement ? Counting from the 18th or the 21st ? I wanted to count from the 18th considering the fact that december has a lot of holidays at the end of the month ;Also my school is resuming early January. Thanks for your anticipated response.
In addition to what DonOms said.....make a note of that school fees payment on the 21st of November in your application form reminding the ECO that the money was used for school fees.

Modskiller ur post was really insightful. Thanks for that. Yes u r very correct. I trusted one or two people outside my fam and told dem what I was up to. Not everyone can be happy with u is the ish. I resigned from my job 3weeks ago and told a colleague before I left that am going to Canada this xmas. The way his surprise was, kinda funny cos he ddnt believe. He distanced himself from me afta dis. But we learn everyday is d thing. I will refire and tell no one even in my household. It's best things are kept hush till they pop. What this human eye can't see is many, believe me ur best friend (if there's still anytin like dat dis days) doesn't want u to progress more than him or her. Best one keeps to himself and believe God for greatness.
I will advice you to figure out where you went wrong with your application and reply rather than trying to focus on an imaginary enemy. It's not a healthy mind set for somebody who prays and believes in God. You are trying to blame people who probably got nothing to do with your visa refusal. Doing it secretly without telling anybody wouldn't change jack until you do the right thing.

Good luck though.

@babyf2012, @Mrsfad2014....I feel you ladies on the "being tagged as a marketer or an advertiser....Anyways, no big deal...it only hurts when you genuinely want to help and when you see some post on the thread that looks exactly like what you wrote and the next minute you are banned for 24hours.....I can bet you most people here are not currently preggy eg myself...I only come to share experience and offer a hand where i feel it is necessary but hey....truth be told I have met some very nice people on this particular thread, who also got scared of being tagged but have a lot to share....hence they take it off the thread leaving a wider range of people not gaining from what it is intended to do....

@justwise...I am not a marketer neither am I an advertiser, but I will advice you to be fair to one and all......

Cheers

@justwise...you kinda just cracked me up...are you antispam bothuh correct me if i am wrong isnt that one of the IT jargons (morelike autospam)?? Thats why i said in my earlier post that i mentioned you because i know you are one of the moderators....not necessarily "antispam bot"
can we move on please.....thanks mate!!
Next time you are banned have a look at your profile to know exactly who banned you so as to know how to direct your complain, not only mods that ban members here. justwise did not ban you because of your post as you claimed.

Antispam bot banned you for 24hrs but you refused to acknowledge that fact.
