Usually funds are paid into my saving account by clients or handed to me by hand; you could refer to my bank statement for funds paid in lump sums at various dates.
My personal income yearly is between N700,000 to N1,100,000 as annual profits from trading activities. I will be paying for my trip (Flight tickets, small shopping) for which I have budgeted N250,000 and finally I plan to return back to India for a period of time for some businesses after UK trip.

charzyh2: @Justwise, I am 21 years. I met an American woman on facebook. She and her husband introduced me to a network marketing business. I got interested in the business. So, they sponsored my registration financially. The husband has been chatting with me by email.
Now, they want me to come over there (US) for seminars in either December or January.
They are ready to stand as my sponsor and they are willing to provide any supporting documents for the invitation and sponsorship.
My questions are:

1. Is this a business visa or tourist visa?
2. What documents are required of them being my sponsor in this kind of situation?
3. What documents required are required of me?
4. And what are my my chances of being approved of this type of visa in this situation?
Please post it here https://www.nairaland.com/608780/usa-visit-visa that is US visa thread

Please, I have some question. Am I free to ask?

I'm not sure, but is there any restriction or charge for asking question?

Chrizizon: @Justwise..U are correct, no one can really tell with confidence whether those unpredictable Ecos would give visa or not, as they seem not to make their decisions based on documents submitted
Without interview they make their decisions purely on documents submitted.

Chrizizon: @Justwise..answer Not so encouraging here, like this uk visa thing has become like a Kalokalo (gamble).Based on what i explained b4, I want to know whether my situation falls into d category of getting a visa at all. Thanks for the good work again and swift RP
Nobody can tell you with confident whether you will be given a visa or not, you can only apply and the ECO makes the decision. It will be wrong for me to tell you...yes you are qualified and will be given a visa or not.

Prepare your documents well and apply then hope for the best outcome

Chrizizon: Thanks for your good work here @Justwise and co. I want to apply for a visiting visa to the UK to visit my elder sister (inviter) and also to attend my nephew(Elder sister's son) uni graduation ceremony which comes up in a few months. The thing is that i am a business man registered as a sole proprietor with CAC. I have no business account as i use my savings account for business, mainly to accept payment from clients and funds transfer purposes. Nature of my Business: import goods from Asia(India precisely) and sell in Nigeria. My business was registered 5 months ago with CAC though i have started business much earlier, also i have also registered with tax office Abuja and given a tax identification number but no tax clearance certificate yet. I have various records of transactions and have been in Asia once b4 for business purpose and also have a valid Mexican visa. I want to know if i am qualified for the UK visitor visa application as i don't want to waste my time applying and then getting a refusal, u know naira is hard to get nowadays grin. Any useful assistance and information will be welcome. Thanks
Qualifying is one thing while getting a visa is yet another thing. No visa is guaranteed, so even if you are qualified and met the requirements you can still be refused a visa.

thisismystique: I had 3 large deposits in my account which were questioned. However, because of my job in my place of employment as the Legal & Regulatory Consultant, the company pays money through my account whenever they need to be paid to persons for regulatory related purposes. In fact, my statement of account showed that these moneys were being paid by the same company I showed proof I was working for, the remarks told the purpose of the money and there was proof that the money left my account shortly afterwards.

Also, my sister who I was going to visit, they said they couldn't reach. Whereas, they called her mobile during working hours. And of course, she missed the call. They called her husband too and he told them she was at work and if they could call back, he would give them her office numbers but they never did.

If I don't have full right of appeal, does that mean I have some right of appeal?

No you don't. You can send administrative review, 'technically' you are entitled to that but you don't submit any additional document, just a written statement arguing why you think the ECO was wrong to refuse you a visa. The ECM will go through your complain and review your application again. This process is free. You can download the form online.

thisismystique: Hello guys,

I honestly wish I had come to this feed before I submitted my visa application to the UK. Unfortunately, I was given a Refusal. My sister is of the view that I appeal as I applied for a Family Visit visa.

However, on the bottom of my application, it reads: 'Your right of appeal is limited to the grounds referred to in section 84(1)(c) of the Nationality, Immigration and Asylum Act 2002.' Please what does this mean? Can I not appeal?

Thank you.
No, you don't have full right of appeal.

Why were you refused?

Cavenchy: Hey been a while, glad to see the thread's still active. Justwise remind me to nominate you for travel section Nairaland awards if/whenever they decide to have one. Can see a lot of positive people helping out with advice. Thought i'd chip in a few.

For those who're still trying to find schools in the uk and need to get an idea of what the students from there think of their unis, visit whatuni.com, you get individual rating polls from lecture quality/course ratings to eye candy, its also cool for accomodation advice too, especially when it comes to areas that boost student experience and creepy landlords to avoid.

Ps: u might not get a professional list of best schools or jobs after grad there, but for social life and school comparison from actual student ratings, it would really help u be on track.
You found your nl psw today? lol, its almost a year since you left, how are you getting on?

Slimdel: Then maybe u didn't read all that was debated cause both of those u mentioned were talked on.
Then why would u choose something if not for the value of it? I actually joined your two paragraphs in a question cause ironically that's ONE of the lesson in this debate but maybe u didn't read it from that angle innit?
You can choose something because its cheap and affordable and not because of its value.

Sadly for you it becomes my business when you start encouraging people to engage in fraudulent activities here.

How i got to the UK its my business and i did not come here to ask for your help or encourage you do what i did.

Done with you on this issue because i have made my point very clear.

Slimdel: No I'm not I know exactly what I'm saying which is some people have MSC cert and didn't make anything out of it while some have diploma and doing something with it, maybe u didn't get the proverb there. That's all
You are still missing the point, this debate got nothing to do with value of college or university qualification or what one can achieve with it.

The debate here is about the difference between college and university education and why some people prefer to attend college rather than university.
Travel › Re: Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program-timelines Here by justwise(mod): 4:50pm On Jul 27, 2014
ferdimako: Yeah...d highest thing u and Solo can do is telling folks not to share it publicly. Indians and Chinese pple forge even work experiences. CIC knows and that is why they review periodically.

Some pple can't even live on their own and run to marry able spouses and CIC doesn't chase them. I watched a documentary on a Chinese immigrant in Canada with a master's degree but can't get a decent engineering job and lacks in English. He said if not for his two kids...he wld consider heading home. Many pple unable to adjust and live do that.

Nobody needs Solomonwis to know what d consequences are now or then...he doesn't train anyone here. Adults bear their own crosses!

If fresh graduates with terrible language skills can stay on and eke out a living...mehn...what are we talking about?
This is what many of us Nigerians do very well..giving excuses why we should commit crime, giving examples of people who commit crimes more than we do, looking for ways to cheating every possible system. How about spending time thinking about how to do things right? Have you thought about that as well?

Chinese and Indians do this and that..so what? We should all do that same? Solomonwis is not stopping anybody from forging or going out with gun to steal, he is basically stating that such action is against the rule and we should not be encouraging it here.

Do whatever pleases you in your private corner, i don't give a monkey about that as long as you don't preach it here.

ferdimako: Criminals know what they r doing. Many students swore at embassies to come back and they perfect d lies here. So? I don't tell pple to lie but Nigerian situations made it so.

That is not an excuse. State the fact as its and let people make their choices.

Slimdel: Let's leave canny or naija aside, anywhere you find yourself in life, your qualifications are just an additional bonus, what one can make out of it is what matters, some build mansions with just a coin and some can't even build a bungalow with millions. Your environment only comes in to determine whether you will shine through easy or hard way. If you have the potentials inside and can't find it no college, MSC, PGD, masters, PhD whatever can find it. Know what works for u and develop in it.

Happy Sunday
You are actually missing the point

ferdimako: These are adults that are accountable to what they do. They borrow to pursue their courses and it is ur headaches. Na waoh.
Many suicide bombers and armed robbers are adults does that mean we should not state the fact about what do they?

We are basically pointing out what the rules says, and that people should not use this thread to encourage fraudulent activities.

Yes there are professors in many college but they can still teach students rather than lecture them, not all lecturers in universities are professors, some are Dr and they still lecture.

I'm not here to run down college education or promote university system, i'm only stating how the system is.

Jijola: Yea. But not as bad as here because most of the areas they work are different.
College is for FE while university is for HE, college has always been seen as a preparatory institution for university hence the discrimination.

In college you have teachers while in university you have lecturers, the value system has always given university graduates a bigger portion of respect than college graduates, whether this is right or wrong is not the argument.

Foreign students choose college for two reasons: cheaper fees and lenient entry requirements, you may be very intelligent with good result but got no money to get admission into top foreign universities, or you have the money but with poor result.

College is the cheap and cheerful option for those set of prospective students.

Jijola: My bro, the difference between University and College abroad is not the same in Nigeria.A monotechnique or Polytechnic is the equivalent of a college in Nigeria. And the discrimination between the two as we have in Nigeria does not exist in the Western World. Choosing between one of them in the West is a matter of interest and career goals.
It does exist big time.
