bjoseph: Pls House I need your view on this matter.
A friend of mine was arrested in UK for using false documentation which he was granted bail from the police custody after His finger print, DNA and Photo capturing was taken, and then asked to come back for further investigation, but he jumped bail and came to Nigeria- This was as a result of the fear that he might be deported or jailed. Now that his in Nigeria, He his planning to visit America or Canada with genuine intention.
The question now is:
1. Can this past UK's criminal history of my friend affects his Canadian or American Visa Application? 2. Does Canadian or American embassy verifies one's past immigration record in UK (through biometrics or finger print)
Please kindly assist with suggestion and contribution on what to do... The answer is yes, let nobody kid you, the possibility is pretty high. With his finger print and digital picture stored he can only run but it will definitely come back to hurt him. Yes there are people with criminal record who still get a visa when background check is not done but at the end you will still pay the price when you least expected it. Don't listen to people here telling you that Canadian embassy don't check, the chicken always come home to roast no matter how long it takes. |

tobee: Congratulations! You were really prepared for them. Did u put all this together by yourself or through an agent? I am going to be applying in a week's time. Please put me thru .
First, Some document I don't have listed here are
1. Letter of support from main student in the UK addressed to the High commission(don't really know what that is) 2. student I'd card(btw how did u get that) 3. Employment letter (I'm not working at the moment but my husband is) 4. Copy of tenancy agreement ( do we need to have rented a house before getting the visa?) 5. Creche arrangement for my children(don't have a baby, they are 3 and 6) 6. Main applicant tax clearance( as I said I'm not working at the moment)
Secondly, did ur husband or wife(don't know if u are he or she ) apply for the visa too. You are on the wrong path, you don't need any of those in bold and you will be refused Those are not student visa application materials. |

shakol91: IF WE WANT THIS THREAD TO BE ACTIVE AND NOT THAT WE ONLY COME HERE TO SAY CONGRAT ONCE IN 7 MONTHS. Pls let's share our research and info about schools. People that knows schools with cheap tuition fee should post it. People that knows how to get grants, assistance etc should explain. People that knows stages/process/procedures that it entails to start from scratch(searching for schools) to the last stage of getting student Visa from the kingdom which almost all newbies aspiring to study in Netherlands doesn't know should list/state/explain. I said all this because the motto of TRAVEL section said Do It Yourself (DIY) so how can a novice excel on this thread without collective work and we say no to Agent. Pls we should all contribute for the progress of this thread. God bless all The problem is your attitude, it turns people off Feel free to look for an agent anywhere you live, nobody is stopping you. The moment you get your visa nobody will see you here again. |

ShmAlohim: Hello everyone, Please I need your advice on this issue if you would be so kind. I'm about to apply for a Tier 4 student visa to the UK and this is my first time of applying for a visa. The financial requirements include a 3 month bank statement with the required funds held for the past 28 days. After counting down the 28 days however, I discovered that my father, whose account I'm using to apply opened a new account for my study purpose and the account isn't up to 3 months old. Would this be an issue? Thank you for your response. All you need to do is to keep the money for 28days, the age of the bank account does not matter. |

ukwife: ukwife: Good evening house, I am seeking guidance and way forward. Here are the facts i am British/ Nigerian Citizen and have been in relationship for while. My Nigerian citizen husband ( engaged/traditional marriage). few years ago my uk based employer posted me overseas and my husband joined me there we been working and living outside Uk. My questions is as following. I got made redundant and we thinking of returning back to uk. It seems things have changed. My question to house what visa should we apply for? Should we go to Nigeria to go get married legally? or apply for spouse visa or should we apply for family visa? what would you advice
justwise That is the first most important step to take before going for spouse visa, then you move to the UK first to get accommodation and job that pays at least £18600 a year then your hubby will apply for join you.
Were both of you living in an EU country before?
Reply @ justwise Thanks for your reply and sorry for delay. I have accommodation, I have job offer with salary which is required but i am two minds.salary lower than what my experience demands. I was going to take role so i can get ball rolling for spouse visa.
No we were not in EU, I was posted in Asia and Ecowas region. Those two are very important and you covered them. |

spikesC: i understand, but my question is based on the requirement that you should print the one of the application date Sure a lot of people print out the oanda of the day of submission and still get their visas, some don't print out any at all and still get their visas. If the exchange rate fluctuations affects your balance then they will check the exchange rate of the day money was deposited. As long as you deposited the actually amount of money then you will not be denied a visa because of exchange rate fluctuation because its something you can not control. |

paradisewoods: Thanks so much , so according to you attachment, GBP should be on the side of "Currency I Have" while Naira should be on the side of currency I want" abi ? I selected that randomly but naira should be on the left hand side while £ will be on the right because your are convert from naira to £. If your maintenance money is in £ already then there is no need converting anything. |

cooljinglepuff: Thank you for answering my question justwise. I'd just browse through the previous post and found out that the accommodation deposit is counted under the maintenance. My question would be, I paid the £250 deposit but in my visa application, I said no because it's not mentioned under my CAS and I thought it's only a deposit to reserve the room for me. Would such mistake affect my visa application? Has anyone made such mistake before? Do you have enough money in your account to cover the maintenance money? |

princessmoi: Written agreement with my school and Doncaster as mentioned earlier or just my school having that statement in writing, that "i can enrol at Doncaster college while I complete my modules with them"?
Sorry for all these questions, I just want to make sure I have everything right. Most importantly from your current school, if you are given written agreement and Doncaster colleges accepts you then you got nothing to worry about. Keep the letter because you will need it to extend your visa next year. |
