agates: Hi everyone. Just got an email that my Visa has been issued. Thanks to u guys. @ justwise u re a selfless being. God bless you.

vickkyplus: @justwise,I want to hope you don't make mockery that there are no more credible Nigerians?
Fair enough I believe you are among the credlbles.Pls peruse my post perfectly.

According to my post,I never advocated for a reduced standard, infact I wrote on the limited timing.I,as a matter of factly, asked for ample time for young couple to prove the union since the VO stated clearly that it is difficult to know who is real or not.Am not a mouth piece, but I feel certain things should be corrected.Or are you not a Nigerian?I speak for Nigerians and you mock me?God! see how we belittle our country,Nigeria. It is a pity.If u were to be an American, you would swallow my words.
Long Live Nigeria.

ekpotek: Thanks her last application was processed in Lagos. Should I send the email to Lagos or Abuja? Meanwhile here is the final draft. Hope it okay?

Dear Sir,

My name is xxxxx, a Nigerian, residing and working in Nigeria. I am a xxxxxxx. I have been invited to attend Royal Society for Tropical Medicine and Hygiene Biennial Meeting; 'Measuring Progress' 25 - 27 September 2014 in Oxford with a Travel Scholarship. This invitation has also been extended to my wife Mrs Marilyn U. Ekpo as accompany partner (see attached letter of invitation). During this global event, I would be making 10 minutes oral presentation of my research work in Nigeria to an international audiences from all over the world. I already have a current valid visa to the UK, however my wife does not have a visa. The last time she applied for a visit visa to the UK to attend an identity interview for her British Passport, she was advised to withdraw the application, that the interview can be done in Nigeria. I am writing to request the embassy to issue her any traveling document that will allow her entry into the UK. We intend to travel together and return back to Nigeria after the event in the UK. Thank you for kind understanding in this matter.

Sincerely,
ekpotek

VisaOfficer: Don't worry, justwise, I think s/he meant the SSS is always ready to support the Consulate in dealing with serious wrongdoers. We're interviewing young DV couples according to the same standards as we always have!

ekpotek: Please do have any idea of the appropriate email address to send the email to. Thank you.

vickkyplus: Dearest Visa Officer,It will be unwise and unfair if I don't commend your good work here.Your prompt response to questions marvels me.Thank you ma.

I once replied your post about young couples some pages back.I feel delighted, cos I feel situations have stepped a bit as regards young couples.Am not certain though, but seems people don't complain again.I must thank you.

We dont know if there are still people for interview in the remaining months, but incase I still beg for your fairness on young couples. There are still real very young couples out there.
As regards your WARNING today,I feel pity for those Nigerians who want to steal another's identity because of greed and desperation.

These clowns are making things hard for the real people. No thanks to hungry and wicked Nigerian agents.I imagine if Nigerian agents were to be In charge of the US lottery!I use this medium to say thanks for clamping down on those imposters.

We (SSS) are always ready to assist you in all of these.
We hope to see good results as regards visa issuance to young couples in the remaining months.

God Bless.

DaBeaver: I'd appreciate it if the Admin of this section would be civil enough to tell me why my first ever post in this section (which I made about 2hours ago) was deleted.

imperiouxx4: lols Antispambot is a written script that picks unacceptable words or strings or characters in any posted comment.

There are some normal words that I've used in the past, which the antispambot does kick against and the ban duration is usually one day.

Sometimes after long reassessment of the prevented post, the antispambot can release the post and the ban lifted within few hours.

I only used that "they" to personify antispambot and to make it sounds like comments from a novice.

How are you doing?

gaskinachi: no,i already submitted and printed my copy

kpolli: Well said.... That's why some schools demand deposit before sending I-20s now

Keep it up and enforce you to re-do visa interviews to re-issue visas

mandybaby2007: What's d policy in UK? Change on schools isn't allowed?

gaskinachi: Just filled my application form and I made a mistake in my family name mistakenly typed a 'k' that isn't part of my name...and I av to submit by Friday ...shud I go ahead and submit ?

ekpotek: Dear Justwise. Please kindly read this email I am about to send to the embassy, particularly the paragraph disclosing the last application which she was advise to withdrew. Thanks

Dear Sir,

My name is xxxx, a Nigerian, residing and working in Nigeria. I have been invited to attend Bleep meeting of Bleep in September 2014 at Oxford with a full travel Scholarship. This invitation has also been extended to my wife Mrs Bleep as accompany partner. I am writing to enquire if my wife would be issued a visit visa for her to accompany me to this meeting (see attached letter). I already have a current visa to the UK, however my wife does not have a visa. The last time she applied for a visit visa to the UK to attend an identity interview for her British Passport, she was advised to withdraw the application, that the interview can be done in Nigeria. I want to find out if this issues will affect her application as we intend to travel together and return back to Nigeria after the event in the UK. Thank you for kind understanding in this matter.

Sincerely,
Bleep

imperiouxx4: Check out the song "Slippin"

I guess that was the reason why I received two bans within few minutes.

Anyways, they haven't stopped me from registering new ones.

GeneralShepherd: Am I to deposit this money in my savings account?
Am I required to open a domiciliary account and deposit in pounds?

How much and where can I test for tuberculosis in Lagos?

GeneralShepherd: Please I have a few questions where do I get the official exchange rate of the day, in view of visa application

If i pay my accommodation fee to the school will it be part of the £7200 for.maintenance.?

peaky: sir, my inquiry goes to Professor justwise. My younger (Biodun) who is 24 years of age working with a a reputable company seeking for travel advice from you. he earns 125,000 per month and has about 700,000 as balance. He is interested in spending his next vacation in the UK. He knows nobody in the UK. What are the chances of obtaining the visa. We need your wealth of advice because he is a first timer and has no tie in Nigeria except his job.

What are the documents to present and hope the 700k not too small for the vacation?

Expecting your response soon sir.

Best regards.

princessmoi: My thoughts exactly. What would you advice I do now? Am confused.

princessmoi: Justwise , please see below the reply i got from them.

''Our course would still be full time, so you would have to study both courses simultaneously, making sure you attended and studied both''.

''If you decide to leave, Bradford will stop sponsoring you and you will get a letter from the Home Office stating that you leave will be curtailed.

You would need to make sure that your address details are up to date with the Home Office so that you received that letter.

You could then apply to study at Doncaster College and it would be a visa extension application''.

Please advice.

VisaOfficer: Thank you sir! Safe travels. I expect to hear of great successes from you and your future family over there!

I'm going to hassle you one more time, because I can. I feel a sudden urge to remind everyone that American culture has a weird fixation with youth and beauty, and everyone firmly believes that the words "old" and "elderly" only apply to people at least 15 years older than they themselves are. Even if they're 70, in their hearts they will believe that only 85-year-olds are old. Even when it's patently untrue, you may want to practice looking surprised when someone (male or female) tells you their age, and saying "I never would have guessed, you look so much younger!"

Along the same lines, never ever tell anyone that they have gained weight, and NEVER ask a woman if she is pregnant, even if she is visibly giving birth right that moment.

Trust me.

kaykay05: I will, thanks a lot for the insights. I'd get back to this thread to share the outcome of my reapplication. I'm hoping for the best.
