MRbrownJAY: we know that the Mercedes cars are not that reliable........ so, just one DNF from Rosberg and they will be right back on equal points.
Rain or accident could turn things around tomorrow.

MRbrownJAY: the man is going through a bad spell but Ham is a mercenary....... he will possibly lose some few points over Rosberg tomorrow but there are many more races in this championship for him to win them back (and possibly win the championship).
He really had it for bad luck honestly, i'm hoping that he will return from the break with better luck

MRbrownJAY: a couple months ago, i remember you beating your silly chest telling us all that Rosberg cannot beat Hamilton, while i was telling you to wait and see. only a bloody fool could predict the winner of this yr, especially when you've seen Ham's spectacular drive last week from 20th to 3rd.
LH car on fire, another bad week for him, i don't know how he is going to cope from pit-line tomorrow.

joxiri: Yea uk embassy hand over the envelope that is sealed to vfs
Am sure they can't open it
They are just a handling company like dhl or FedEx
Unless am missing something here
Anyways it's a waiting game now
They are not, they handle UK visa applications process and forward it to the embassy and the embassy returns processed application to VFS to be distributed to applicants. You either receive emails from them or from the embassy, email from the embassy will read something like: Your application has been approved and the visa has been issued. We aim to return passports to the VAC within 2 working days. You can check the location of your passport at www.ukvac-ng.com.

Email coming from VFS does not make it explicitly clear to indicate whether you have been given a visa or not until you pick up your passport.

Feexo: Justwise & Olumide85, I would like you guys to put me through on modality for getting a UK visa for someone who already has a USA visiting visa. She has been to the USA once last month, and would like to get a UK transit visa to spend 1 or 2 weeks on her second visit soon.
You can direct me to the earlier page on this thread where Justwise explained it in details to Olumide or try and explain to me. Thanks!

Calmdown, shoot me an email if you are still going by Qatar on August 9th, so that we can roll together.

Danito2: The woman is 48years old and a british citizen living with her partner andy..the woman talk to my dad everyday on phone she has taken me as her son.she knows my family well my little brother and my dad and everybody in my family.i went for my itemized fone bill and her number is found in every blessed day..pls help me out she really want me to visit, the embassby said i didnt demonstrate correspondence
There is nothing anybody will tell you here that will make sense to you, the embassy will be acting irresponsibly if they gave you a visa at your age to travel to the UK to meet that woman. How about inviting the woman to Nigeria?
Travel › Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by justwise(mod): 9:43am On Jul 26, 2014
joxiri: @justwise
It wasn't from the embassy though, it was from vfs, actually 2 emails were sent this 1st one
And a second email just stating processed visa application ready for collection, which is the one I am familiar with
So am rather confused here
..and you think vfs will send it without been directed by the embassy?

Danito2: Please, somebody should help me here ,i got refuse uk visit visa last month, the person inviting me is a white lady and she is someone i have never meet before, buh she use to call me on fone every day and also use to send me emails and also send me some money as gifts, she really trust me and trust my family i am 18years old she have talk to my dad on fone before and she wish to let me come visit her we have been friends for since 2years getting to three years now.buh i got refused because the consular said she contacted my uk sponser nd she confirmed he invited me buh we have never meet before,so he is not satisfy that i can relied to meet someone i have never meet or demonstrate correspondence with.the white woman want me still come over how will i do now what papers and how should the invitation go?and how will i be able to demontrate strong evidence of our correspondence ?and can it be possible when i demonstrate they will give to me as we have never met before?and how should the initation letter sound like this time around?thanks very much,God bless you
Considering the fact that you are just 18 years of age and she started talking to you online when you were just 16, it will be risky to even allow you to leave Nigeria under such arrangement. How old is the lady?

This issue got nothing to do with right or no right, that email is a standard email sent to applicants by the embassy, you will only know the outcome when you pick up your passport. Some email will make it crystal clear that your visa has been issued while some don't like in this case.

joxiri: Hello house
Pls can u guys confirm if this means a visa application has been refused
I was under assumption if it's given
The email will say the visa has been issued
Previously people who received email like this were issued a visa while some were refused, so email like this does not give away much.

They don't always make it obvious.

xkobans: Thanks. Do you have any information about life and accommodation there. From my cursory research, accommodation is a bit on the high side.
No i don't but you can try your luck with this website http://www.surreystudentpad.co.uk/Accommodation, Surrey is an expensive city for sure but you can still find something affordable. Accommodations closer to the uni will be too expensive.

Its a highly recognized uni and one of the best in the UK.

Travel › Re: Travelling To Canada Part 5 by justwise(mod):
cronsberg: 1. If my reasons are not good enough, then which kind of reason is good to seek for asylum? I thought the whole point of the asylum thing is to protect people whose lives have been endangered?

2. As to "there is many safe states in nigeria", which state is REALLY safe in this country? I won't feel safe anywhere in nigeria period. As to nearby countries? Is it cameroon, or Niger, or chad or benin rep that you want me to run to? which kind of life will i have there? life is even more harsher and dangerous in those countries than in the nigeria i am trying to run away from.

3. Well as to why i might feel threatened by bh, have you read where i wrote i helped the civilian JTF before? I am not wanted by the government, i just feel that i have to watch my back because i am an avowed critic of the govt. on different sites. Plus how can i be a security risk to a country am seeking asylum in because i feel threatened in my own country. it doesn't make sense. Further more, if according to you i should opt for a safe neigboring country rather than canada, then somalis have kenya as a safe next door country, iraqis have saudi/Jordan/Turkey, e.t.c but they all go seeking for asylum in far away norway or sweeden and they are offered asylum. I am in the same situation as them(you don't know what we are going through here), so why can't i also opt for a better country where my life will be safe, my living standard will be qualitative, my hard work and education will pay off beter. why not

4. the nigerian that was deported might have falsified his claim, he might be from a safe state but claimed to be from a war zone. Make no mistake, where i am from is definately a war zone, just a few weeks ago a european was kidnapped in my region by bh. And i have documents to proove that am from there.

So mr. Justwise, if you think asylum is not the way i should go, or that i don't need asylum, or my reasons are not strong enough, which legal way do you suggest i can abscond from this hellish country then.
There are more than 150m people in Nigeria including Canadian embassy staff, they know too well that some part of Nigeria is safe with no single suicide bombing. Even in the north people still live there, so your story about your safety in Nigeria does not hold water. Every Nigerian is a target of bh so there is nothing special about your case.

You can't compare Somalian case to that of Nigeria because Somalia is a Muslim country, Nigeria is not, fighting in Somalia can not be compared to the situation in Nigeria, even at that Somalian asylum seekers go through hell to get asylum in any country.

I'm not discouraging you from looking for a way of leaving Nigeria but using the crisis in Nigeria as an excuse to claim asylum will not fool anybody.

Since you said money is not the issue why not travel to any EU country through study?

cronsberg: I am a he. That dunce just be jabbing nonsense without offering the advice am looking for. Does he think i would like to abandon my family and just run off to another country? He never thought maybe i needed it. Lets just say am from one of the north eastern states under State f emergency. At one point in time, i helped and even participated in the civilian jtf thing, seeing as people i ones knew are been tracked and basically assasinated one by one, then i think i have a genuine reason to seek asylum to guarantee a safe and better life for myself. And with all the yabbing and condemnation by me against both bh and the nigerian government, i got to watch my back. Mind you bh have spies and informants, and the FG also have internet spying tech(thanks to the fraudulent isreali deal).
So please no one should quote me if you can't offer advice, if you went through the asylum process before or know a thing or two about it, kindly share. Plus my concern it not the travelling money or what happens after the travel. my concern is how do i explain to the consular official that i am sponsoring myself, and that even though am unemployed, i got enough money for the trip and all
You really need to calm down, not everybody will agree with you and they have the right not to.

You may not believe this but your reasons for claiming asylum is not good enough, if your life is in danger Canada is not the next safest country to Nigeria, there are many states in Nigeria that is safe and cheaper for you to move to. If the govt and bh are hunting for your life than you will be a security risk to any country because its hard to understand why you are wanted by both govt and bh.

Couple of months ago a Nigerian who came to the UK to claim asylum with almost the same reason as you have stated was deported. He was on hunger strike for many days, his lawyer tried, people protested but all failed because they don't want to open the flood gate for people to use the crisis in Nigeria to claim asylum, if one is given then it will be used as a precedent by other prospective asylum seekers.

For get about what you read online, the reality is parallels to that.

Ornaments: Good morning everyone, I applied to university of Regina 3weeks ago, all to receive a message that my personal statement or resume was plagiarised and as a result of that, my admission would not be granted. I was banned for 6month. Ever since, I have been weeping cos, I wrote the personal statement myself, I sent it to experienced people and they made necessary corrections. I feel so sad right now. But I have decided to move on. Though I feel so weak right now, that's why I need your help. I need a university between 5-8k tuition per year. Computer science, Winter/ Spring Start would have applied to MUN but they don't have my course..... Please help me I have searched to no avail.. Help a sister
Is either somebody you sent it to edit used it before you or you copied somebody else's work.

Sadly very soon we will start hearing stories like this here, i see many people asking for SOP here, sending to random people to edit, giving out theirs to anybody that drops email address here.

The embassy and schools will be flooded with copies of SOP all looking the same

Look for another school, the ban is only for one school
