girlfio: Just send your passport via a tracked mail service like DHL, don't bother sending a return envelope, they use their own service to send your passport back. Oloritunjino: Hi everyone, |
ingred: they also said on my son paper , that you ave nt provied no evidence regarding any serious family matters or other considerations, SO I THERE FORE NT SATIFIED THAT THERE ARE SERIOUS AND COMPELLING FAMILY OR OTHER CONSIDERATIONS WHICH MAKES YOUR EXCLUSTION UNDESIRABLE, PARAGRAPH 297(i)(f)It seems that you did not put serious thought into your application, no amount of document is too much when dealing with spouse visa application. Family pictures, flight tickets, facebook chats, whatsapp chats, BBM chats, Skype chats, phone call history, text messages, gift receipts..etc should all be included. |
ingred: no i did nt, and for the life of me , my husband and i spoke a bout it bt just dont knw hw it slip us,You should have submitted all that, they are very very important, it gives you an edge with the application. Since you have all that material...you can reapply straight a way and attach them, appealing will take ages and the waiting time is killing. |

Kimsunh: what if I have a visa on the old passport and I was issued a new one? Will the old one be cancelled and the visa be cancelled as well? The old one will be stamped with: 'Cancelled Without Prejudice' but the visa on it remains valid. When traveling you have to carry both and present them at the POE |
Kimsunh: Hello good people. I'm new to nairaland, I have a big problem that requires urgent attention. I'm billed to perform along my other colleagues for a show in uk and we have been granted out work permit. I have filled the application and made the payment when I noticed my passport is missing so I quickly went to Abuja to request for a new one. I haven't been issued a new one and this morning my wife found it. Can I go ahead and submit the application with the old passport despite the fact that I have reported it missing and I have been giving the approval to come for renewal next week. Pls help me out justwise and every good people hereYou can but email the immigration and tell them that you have found it, when they reply print out the email and have it with you when traveling to avoid problem at the airports. |
makahlj2: Mugabe was a controversial leader at best.Controversy is an understatement, Africa will keep struggling as long as we keep supporting politicians who kill, get selected by all means to remain in power. |
Hopeforallone: All this was declared in the first application. Well we are going to court in September so they probably will not overturn it.Going to court is a good thing as it gives you the opportunity with the tribunal judge and 'maybe' HomeOffice lawyer(if they turn up) to explain things properly. Its not an intimidating environment, you will be allowed to answer questions and get your points across. |
HandOfChukwu: What kind of African are you? You seem upset about Mugabe.A decent African, an objective one who does not suffer from blind patriotism |
Hopeforallone: @ so are chances slim?Nobody can authoritatively say that until ECM looked into his case then decide if it should go to tribunal or over turned. |
eminikansoso: The guy is telling the bitter truth. No truth there let a lone a bitter one. |
HandOfChukwu: So what should I have said? You want me to write an essay? If you don't have any "information" shut your mouth. Here we go, typical of some of you, so quick to throw insult at anybody who dare disagree. You don't need to write an essay but be objective simple! If you don't have your facts about Zimbabwe then copy and paste from Mugabe's speeches as usual. |
HandOfChukwu: How is that propaganda? That is exactly what its. its partial information |
emafav: Someone should please Answer my Question nowRead the title of this thread and post your question in an appropriate thread. |
HandOfChukwu: That's why there are whites living in South Africa to rob the continent of all it's gold, and the reason there is war in the Congo is over Cobalt which is used in phones, PC's, Tv's, Laptops etc... the whites started the war between the different tribes so they can maintain control over their resources otherwise they would have to pay extortionate prices to the Congolese because it can't be found anywhere else in the world, they've been using the same method all over Africa since they arrived, that's why they don't like Mugabe he kicked them out and retook control. Too many Africans don't understand that Africa is underdeveloped because during colonization they were brainwashed after foolishly trusting the whites, oyinbos are the only real problem. People better understand right now.Don't mislead people with such propaganda |
Hopeforallone: @ Justwise and Girlflo- according to paragraph 320 11 he falls under these statements -The list is far longer than that including aggravating circumstances |
Hopeforallone: @ Justwise and Girlflo - My court date is set for early September and I am really anxious about going, my husband had a terrible history and this is the reason why they have taken it to court on paragraph 320 11. I know someone else is in the same situation on here but they have not been to court I don't think. Is it possible for them to grant the visa or could the judge refuse it or let it go to upper tribunal, even though they believe we have a genuine relationship, financial, accommodation and English request all met, but it's just the history, will the Judge punish me for what my husband did before we met? All this stress is not good, I can not bare being by myself anymore. Please advise me.It all depends on what you called terrible history, though marrying a British citizen or a residency over rides previous immigration offences but its not that straight forward and not all criminal offences get over-looked easily. Even as you will finally get it at the end of the struggle but it will be a long fight.... simply because letting somebody with a serious immigration record off easily will send a wrong message to others wishing to do the same Another thing is declaring those offences during your first application, failure to do that will make life difficult for the application. I know some with immigration offences like...over staying, working with forged paper, working illegally but they still get their papers with first application or appeal did not get to court....etc. So it depends on what sort of immigration record your hubby holds. |
DonOms: Many Nigerians may not understand your question since Prized-Lottery Savings (PLS) Accounts are not used in Nigeria and the UK. I think the saved money remains yours, is never lost, and can be withdrawn at any time you so desire, right? If those three points are right, then I personally believe you are safe to use the account. However, you have to be sure about this so I advice you read the section of "Proof of Maintenance Money" in the UKBA Tier-4 policy and then go to the bank and ask them if the account meets the UKBA policy. All the best. hasan123: Hello there, |
dotcomnamename: Ok, do you think the Nigerian embassy can issue the TC on his real name and dob? or the wrong name and dob? That i don't know. He needs to visit them to make that inquiry |
dotcomnamename: Ok i understand now, but if he is asked to travel to Nigeria to do the new passport there on his real name and date of birth, how is he going to travel to Nigeria? because the passport is not with him and it has even expired since then. I wonder how he will go out of the country to Nigeria to do a new passport in Abuja? He can get TC from Nigerian embassy to enable him travel to Nigeria and come back with his ILR card |
dotcomnamename: Yes he has all those documents in his real name and date of birth. He should go to Nigerian embassy with those documents, he need to book appointment before going. If he is asked to travel to Nigeria to do it then there is nothing wrong with that. It can only be done in Abuja, he needs to go with that passport, those documents and the ILR card to immigration there to sort it out. |
dotcomnamename: Thank you justwise God bless, that was exactly what i told him too, but he's scared of explaining himself to the Nigerian embassy. According to him, it was the person that secure visa for him from nigeria that used different name and different date of birth to obtain the e-passport for him at first because he said the person said he can only secure a visa for him with different name and different date of birth, and when he arrive in the country where he seek asylum he told them the truth his real name and real date of birth and he has been using his real details which they now gave him leave to remain on. Now, what do you think is the worst thing the Nigerian embassy could do to him if he go there and explain himself to them about this? And secondly do you think it is advisable for him to let his solicitor handle this by contacting the Nigerian embassy on his behalf to explain the situation to them?He can't run away from the issue, there is no point using a lawyer, he should visit Nigerian embassy to speak to somebody and start dealing with the issue. Nigerian embassy can issue him a new passport however, this is not a straight forward case. Does he have documents like educational certificates, birth certificate and bank accounts in his real name in Nigeria before he left? |
dspy45: ur threads advices one to make a little deposit or withdraw to show a closing balance. so i will love to know at what date in particular this cld be done before printingIf your bank statement print-out shows opening and closing balance date then you don't need to make little payment to indicate closing date. |
dspy45: Please adviceA day after the 28days counting is not bad. Since you have more than required amount in your account you can make a small withdraw and you don't need to put it back. |
