They killed 'armed robbers' while boko haram kills innocent people including Muslims, did you get the difference?

maninmood: C'mon! Stop blaming everything on government. In a generic sense, all political appointees steal; that shouldn't make one an armed robber. You said lure? If you are being lured by the state-of-the-art vanities that these politicians acquire, then I may say you are embattled with a sheer greed. Have you heard of PHD holders applying for dangote's trucks? The question is, why proffering excuses when armed robbers are being killed? Have you experienced their consummate wickedness before? They kill at will!
Don't mind these people trying hard to give all sorts of excuses for armed robbers.

Some armed robbers are employed, they just want quick money, greed, to enjoy the finest thing the life can offer without sweating for it.
Crime › Re: Four Armed Robbers Caught And Burnt Alive In Mushin, Lagos (Picture) by justwise(m): 9:07am On Nov 04, 2012
princefunmi: The only reason an armed robber is shot in a civil society by a police is for violent resistance of arrest. They don't just pop out a gun and shoot him down just because he is armed. Unless it is proven that he has killed someone, his crime is not even a capital one. The worst he could be handed is a life sentence.
They don't need to kill somebody to be shot, if they go robbery armed and police is called they will be shot, even if they ran away and the police gave chase, as long as they are armed they will still receive bullets.

They will only be spared gun shot if they drop their guns and surrender.

Armed robbers in Nigeria are the most ruthless, vicious and blood sucking set of people. I don't care how they are killed as long as they are armed robbers.
Crime › Re: Four Armed Robbers Caught And Burnt Alive In Mushin, Lagos (Picture) by justwise(m): 8:37am On Nov 04, 2012
princefunmi: Forget about all this crap about them being robbers and deserved to die. In a civil society even murderers have their rights. Has anyone ever thought that these guys could be innocent. I mean face it, 4 armed robbers! If they were truly armed won't they have made a stand off. Would it have been so easy to nab 4 armed robbers just like that with bare hands and sticks. Armed robbery is nnot even a capital crime so why were they killed. Its just to let u know that majority of Nigerians have become insane without even knowing. Next thing we'll hear is that Nigerians have started eating themselves. This nation is in a state of complete ANARCHY!!!!
In a civil society if you go robbery armed and police is called you will be shot dead by the police.

The only right armed robbers have is right to die.

BrownGold: smileyThank you @justwise for the response.

I am currently going through previous posts on this topic here in Nairaland Forum (still on part 1:28) to find out what I need to know and do to apply for a spouse visa, the posts i am on is basically talking about UK student and visit visa. Can you please give me a direct link to find this information on applying for a spouse visa or please tell me the requirements for a UK spouse visa processing?

Many thanks. Kudos.
Its not a difficult one, the most important thing is to prove that the marriage is real and not some sort of sham marriage for British passport.

Email communications, phone call records, gifts, marriage certificate. photos.

Don't rush and submit for spouse visa just after marriage, that will look desperate on your part. Give it 1-3 months before going for spouse visa.

Sebastian Vettel disqualified from qualifying and will have to start from the back of the grid.

Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel has been disqualified from qualifying at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and will start from the back of the field.
The world championship leader, who had qualified third, did not have enough fuel in his car for a fuel sample to be taken.
Vettel stopped his car out on the track on his way back to the pits at the end of the session, as had happened to McLaren's Lewis Hamilton in Spain in May.
It promotes his title rival Fernando Alonso of Ferrari to sixth on the grid.
Vettel heads into the race with a 13-point lead over the Spaniard after winning the last four races.
The F1 rules require the car to return to the pits with at least one litre of fuel on board - running less fuel gives a performance advantage.

BrownGold: Hello Nairaland,

Kudos to @justwise, @Vicjustice and all contributors and advisers on the good job being done.

I just signed in and looking to learn on applying for a UK Spouse visa.

Please, what is the Ikoyi marriage registry requirements of a non-resident Nigerian wedding a resident Nigerian? Do I have to tell the officers at the registrar my Nigerian fiance isn't resident in Nigeria, I am thinking of not telling them because I feel they may want to request for illegal outrageous bills. Please what do you think, will my cover-up affect my future spousal visa processing?

Thanks in advance.
I don't think it matters where your fiance lives, he is a Nigerian anyway, i don't know about the requirement thing, i don't know anybody who has gone through the process before.

Hopefully people with info will help.

tunnytox: Gunmen suspected to be Boko haram, there is no evidence other than mere suspicion, there has been few cases of some Igbo men killed in Adamawa by these same suspected Boko haram members only to discover that it was organised by some of their kinsmen/business associates, those who attended their burial were also killed. So it's not about asking silly questions its about reasoning with your brain simples.
Except this man is a high profile target, he could not have been singled out, so this is not a reason to clamour for Igbo exodus from Bauchi, such calls is naive, simplistic and stupeed.
The only surviving son gave the account of what happened, there was no where in that article they suspected anybody else apart boko haram, i'm wondering why you have decided to indulged in this baseless conspiracy of his kinsmen being the possible killers, is that not just silly?
Politics › Re: Boko-Haram Wiped Out My Family - Widow by justwise(m): 8:25pm On Nov 02, 2012
tunnytox: How do you know he was killed by Boko haram? He could have been killed by any set of people, the killers could have been sent by his business associates, how does unidentified gun men translates to Boko haram? Why did they target his family?
All these are unanswered questions, you just don't run away back the east just because of one unfortunate incident otherwise you'll be running all your life.
This man took the right steps unfortunately for him he was killed not because he was foolish but because he's either unlucky or specifically targeted.
So if there's any one that is stupeed and makes comments on what they know little about its you and the likes if you who judge base on sentiments and prejudiced minds. The north is not a killing field, on his way to the east he could died of road accident, even in the east he could have been kidnapped or killed as SE itself is not a safe haven. The blame is on the govt for failing to protect this man and his family.
Crownvilla: Black Sunday

2012 when gunmen suspected to be members of the Boko Haram sect killed him, his daughter, Ifeoma and his apprentice, Sunday Ezechukwu. His second surviving son, Celestine, an electrical electronics engineer, would have been dead too if not by divine arrangement.

“My children ought to be natives of Bauchi State because they were all born there but look at how we ended up. Again, how can the activities of Boko Haram remain unabated while the government keeps assuring us that they are handling the situation?

A cry for help

Despite the tragic loss by the Okonkwo family, the surviving members of the family still knows that life must continue but the problem now is how to continue with no visible means of livelihood.

Urging for assistance from the federal as well as Anambra and Bauchi state governments, the first daughter of the family, Mrs Blessing Ezemanari summarized the situation thus,

“For us, it is already bye, bye to the North. My mother just came down to the village and she has not started anything meaningful. My murdered brother’s wife is also here with us with her two children. My siblings are still seeking for admission into higher schools. We appeal to Governor Peter Obi to assist us and use his position to influence other authorities to assist us.”

tunnytox: Lame reply as usual! Why am I not surprised? The man is dead then what are you hyperventilating about? Stay on the basis of our disagreement and Provide a practical reasons why he should move to the east just because of a riot your are busy moving round in a circle.
Call me an animal if you like but your abysmal level of reasoning is obvious, it's your mouth and you can run it as usual. Stupeed toad!
It makes you look embarrassingly stupid that you don't see any reason why he should have packed and leave Bauch but he died simply because he did not leave, the wife and other family members are alive today because they left Bauch.

So what is your point?

tunnytox: Don't get it twisted my justf00l! If you are struggling with comprehension let me break it down to the level your brain can take.
The bone of contention is not about the dead, the money or the mansion he built its about whether he should have abandoned his business and propeties because of the incident and move to east without looking back.
What you and many f00ls like you believes is that this man should have abandoned everything and move to the east. The riot that led to the death of his son is a one off thing, riots happen all the time and there is bound to be some collateral damage. Judging by the situation and as there's no war in Bauchi, there was no pogrom or organised killings of the ibos how can you then justify the hasty move? So if there's a riot in London and you get caught up somehow you'll never visit London again shey?

It is obvious that you know absolutely nothing about northern Nigeria, in your little feeble mind its a killing field with many ibo head hunters otherwise there is no need for you to be emotional and judging him. If he has been living in Bauch for 45 years there is no doubt that its not YOU or any other f00ls like you that will tell him about Bauchi, I bet you have never even been to north before.

The man was kiled by some gunmen 'suspected to be boko haram' which means they may not even be boko haram who knows may be its one of his kinsmen that organise the killings. So mr justf00l go and improve on your comprehension skills and stop being unnecessary emotional. The basis of your argument is flawed and impractical and like I sstated earlier stay within your role of the the travel section attack dog you are too unstable, ignorant and emotional to comment on issues like this. You make it too obvious!
Like i said before, calling you an animal will be unfair to animals because even an idiot got a bit of sense. Its clearly obvious that you are a complete waste of space, the man is dead now, if he had moved to the East he would be alive now, he stayed back to protect his property and got killed along with other member of his family.

You got no argument, just bunch of garbage, all this long story is worstless, he is gone, died because he cherished his property than his life.

tunnytox: Your level of ignorance is amazing! I thought I should just let this resty but since you decide to reply in this manner I will not hesitate to expose your ignorance because its your choice.

Why should this man relocate to east in a hurry as if there is war or pogrom against the igbos? there was a riot which is an aftermath of the presidential election so just because of that he should relocate to east after staying in Bauchi for 45 years? You talk as if the SE is a safe haven grin grin
Bauchi of all places in the north is not even a place notorious for riots or killing of ibos, what happened was just a one off thing, despite this the incident served as a wake up call for this man and he started thinking of relocating back home. This is the only thing a sensible man will do judging by the situation not running away with his tail between his legs as if he's being hunted. if there is a war situation he will no doubt leave immediately but since this is not the case a planned phased return is a sensible thing.
Your post expose your lack of knowledge about northern Nigeria and for ignorant folks like you north must be like a killing fields of sorts grin grin go to Bauchi today a lot of igbo business men are still there doing well and thriving.
Bauchi is not Yobe or Bornu state or even kaduna which are notorious for several boko haram killings.

So justf00l it is not compulsory to comment on issues which you are ignorant about, I'll advise you to limit yourself to your travel section and continue your role of the travel section attack dog, your knowledge of Nigerian politics and political terrain as well as practical life issue is very shallow so stick to your area of specialisation.

your argument is lame, impractical and made out of emotion so buzz off!
You fool where is your brain? The man is dead, the daughter is dead, his employer is dead, he was waiting to finish his mansion in the East that will portray him as a successful businessman while his daughter and his worker were made to stay back because of their business and education (read the article again its all there)

Now he is dead with 2 others, will he come back to enjoy that mansion and business that kept him back in Bauchi?

For fish brain like you its all about money and showing off while you neglect your own safety.
