ME: I plan to come back to my……………. She did let me complete my answer

The VO typed something on her computer and told me, ” you have not been able to convince me, the reason for your refusal is explained on this paper”. And she gave me a white sheet and my passport.
Please why did she interrupted me frequently?
Please where did I go wrong?
Was my approach on how I answered the questions not the best?

There is nothing wrong in applying for one university alone, just explain why you chose that university, what attracted you to that university? Their academic history in regards to your course? Course content and cost? Facilities?

When people are asked what they intend to do with their degree a lot of people start by saying.....coming back to my country..bla bla bla..that is one of the over-flogged explanation ever, look for another reason.

Without God we are nothing. Will you read the bolded out loud to yourself and argue that it doesn't sound rehearsed. The VO may be having a bad day or your rehearsed answer was too obvious that she denied you. For her to ask "what you've been doing with your life for the past seven years?" Its so unprofessional, rude and hurtful.

I have to disagree with you, there is nothing unprofessional, rude and hurtful about that question, its a perfectly reasonable question to ask and its a perfect opportunity for the interviewee to sale his or herself.

When you have a gap in your profile you need to explain what you have been doing in those missing gaps, are you doing volunteering work? Helping out in family business? Took time out for travelling? Looking after sick family member? Or at worst are you in servicing time in prison?

You don't leave a gap in your profile without explaining it, if you did then the VO wouldn't ask.

belezza1: Hello justwise! please i am new to this thread i just got to know about this. i was given 6months uk visa in 2010 and since then i have not renewed it due to NYSC service n also tried to secure a job which i have now. i made an application to the uk embassy as a business visitor thru' my company with their supporting documents and also my bank statement, payslips employment n confirmation of employment letters etc. about two weeks ago and am yet to get a response from them. a bulk sum of 300k was paid into my salary account making my balance to be over 500k about a week prior to the submission of my application and also i tried to reconfirm my hotel reservation and discovered it has been cancelled. i just want to know if this would not cause any issues for me.

You have check the list of cards that the website accepts, when you get to payment page you will see list of cards. If you don't have any of it then look for somebody that has.

You have to check the list of payment cards the website accepts and see if you have any of it.

If your wife is going to do masters program then you can accompany her but to extend your stay in the UK after her graduation will depend hugely on your wife getting a graduate job (which is hard) or applying to do more advance studies...probably PHd.

With no strong tie to Nigeria i doubt if you will be able to get visiting visa, you can get student visa if you can afford it
