Abmoney: WHY WOULD I BE AFRAID? angry, YOU DON'T SEEM TO UNDERSTAND THE RULES/LAWS AND WHAT OBAMACARE TALKED ABOUT, THE EMBASSY CAN VERIFY THE AUTHENTICITY OF THAT ACCOUNT TO KNOW IF THE BANK STATEMENT STATEMENT YOU FILED IS AUTHENTIC AND FROM THE BANK, NOT FOR THE EMBASSY TO CONTINUALLY CHECK YOUR ACCOUNT BALANCE IF YOU HAD WITHDRAWN MONEY OR INCREASED MONEY ON THE ACCOUNT DURING THE PROCESSING OF YOUR DOCUMENT HAS YOU INDICATED, ANYWAY DON'T OVER FLOG THIS MATTER LETS MOVE ON

We are not moving on, who brought this issue up again?

If you got nothing to worry about then why are worried about embassy checking your bank balance?

Why publish the picture of the girls and not the cultists?
Foreign Affairs › Re: A Nigerian Male(25) To Marry A Male Vicar(65) - This Is Just Crazy! by justwise(m): 11:43am On Oct 26, 2012
To former vicar Colin Coward, it is nothing short of a marriage made in heaven. But the 65-year-old is expected to raise a few traditional eyebrows when he walks down the aisle with the man in his life – a 25-year-old Nigerian model called Bobby.

Mr Coward and his African partner are due to hold a civil partnership later this year, followed by a service at the vicar’s church, St John the Baptist church in Devizes, Wiltshire.

https://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2010/08/20/article-1304674-0ADC40F2000005DC-405_468x694.jpg

The couple met at a Christian conference three years ago, and are planning to make their relationship official in a few weeks’ time.

Bobby Ikekhuame Egbele, a fashion designer and model, grew up in Nigeria and runs an online clothes shop. Currently in the UK on a holiday visa, he and his ‘husband-to-be’ are waiting for the green light from the Borders Agency, which has requested details of their relationship and residency.

This is expected to be a formality but the ‘marriage’ cannot go ahead until permission is granted. Mr Egbele, who will then become a British citizen, said yesterday: ‘I’m excited about the wedding and that people are interested in it.

‘We want it to be a public thing to inspire other people, but a marriage is also private so that feels a bit strange.’

Mr Coward, who is no longer employed by the Church but still has permission to preach, added that he hopes their public commitment will set an example to other gay people within the Anglican community.

Mr Coward, who lives with Mr Egbele in the Wiltshire village of Marston, said: ‘My goal is for everyone within the Church to feel comfortable with the situation because at the moment the majority of gay Christians marry secretly.

‘It is a taboo subject but the Church is now under huge pressure to change its stance and that pressure will only increase in the future. '

https://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2010/08/20/article-1304674-0ADB8162000005DC-775_468x422.jpg

‘Clearly the blessing is going to be quite a sensitive issue. I know that many people will see it and view it with horror. But we are both deeply committed Christians so it would be unthinkable for me not to do it in church and not to do it with the congregation and with all of our friends.‘

'I hope my wedding will inspire others and set a visible example to the church that we are not afraid.’

Mr Coward, a former architect and now a gay campaigner, met Mr Egbele in 2007 at a Christian conference in Togo, West Africa, and the pair got engaged earlier this year.

The men are due to ‘marry’ on October 9 at the Register Office in Devizes before having a service at St John the Baptist church.

However, the service will not be a blessing, which is forbidden by the Anglican hierarchy for homosexual couples. But Stephen Green, director of campaign group Christian Voice, yesterday described Mr Coward’s marriage ‘an abomination before God’.

Mr Green added: ‘Mr Coward is just an emotionally disturbed man trying to inflict his predilections on the rest of the Church I fail to recognise him as a Christian because he doesn’t keep the commandments of Lord Jesus.’ A spokesman for the Diocese of Salisbury confirmed it has permitted the service to go ahead but described it as ‘separate’ from the civil ceremony.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1304674/Gay-vicar-65-marry-Nigerian-male-model-half-age.html
There is something worrying about the second picture, the Nigerian look sick, maybe he need to get checked up.

Let me ask you this: Why are you afraid of embassy calling your bank to inquire about your balance when you applied for visa?

mannet: @Gentiger @Justwise and everyone who feels that my advise base on seal777's friend is "morally wrong"(I SINCERELY APOLOGIZE TO THE HOUSE),well it was just an advise which he can choose to take or ignore,he has his final decisions to make on the issue and not by force and who told u the guy is not already considering a desperate measure to succeed through the visa stuff and everything.Telling the TRUTH in this case will not save him at all and will only complicate his issue for the rest of his DV application because his claiming to be married while he's not which is a LIE in the first place, the CO will not even give a listening ear to his case at all,it is outright disqualification, his application records are also in their database.
Sometimes i just smile when i see some people come here to ask questions base on marriage stuffs and educational qualifications, some of these people have done something illegal base on marriage arrangee or educational certificate stuffs e.t.c but will come here to give a smooth lie or tell a problem they intentionally caused themselves,so whoever tell lies should be ready to cover up with further lies.Period!
And please for God sake u guyz should stop appearing and talking too holy as if u've never done something morally wrong or sinful in ur life before to pass through a very difficult situation,we are all humans and faced with lots of challenges in our lives which we all look for a desperate solution to escape the negative consequences, either u want to accept it as a fact or not the truth is that every morality has a price and let's stop this "holier than thou" attitude.
We all come here on Nairaland faceless and talk as if we are better than the person advising or taking such decisions,i only gave an advise and didn't force the guy to do such and if he does and succeed good for him,if u have a better advise then give it to him and let's hear u out.
In our everyday life as Nigerians(ordinary citizens, pastors, imam, politicians, lawyers, engineers and all works of life) and even the so called foreigners,we all have skeletons in our cupboard including Gentiger,Justwise,Myself,Nairalanders and all who see my advise as "morally wrong".
Well am not trying to also justify my reasons for given such advise but PLEASE don't point an accusing finger @ me when the remaining four is pointing back @ U....REMEMBER he's in a desperate situation that requires ONLY a desperate Measure to scale through.
And that's the reason i always advise people and all the 11 persons i helped to apply to tell the truth when applying for this visa lottery because if u lie,u will have to keep lying to scale through each stage if u eventually win.

Thank U
You are just being a complete hypocrite, this is the problem i have with bible quoting individuals like you, if you believed in that bible you quoted then you shouldn't be encouraging people to commit fraud and now trying to justify it. Nigerians face tough time with embassies because of this sort of advice coming out from people like you.

You think you are smart by faking marriage and forging marriage certificates, you are not, you will only make life difficult for honest Nigerians who will pay the price for sin of others.

Yes nobody is perfect or holier but we shouldn't be encouraging crime because it hasn't done us any good so far.

Don Kool: Men and women living together and bearing children does not constitute a legal marriage (at least not in naija). So, if they do check, they would expect a marriage certificate from him or a divorce certificate or a death certificate (God forbid)!

IF it were me in his shoes, i would TELL THE TRUTH! (after all, it was fibbing that led to this predicament in the first place).

IF he chooses not to do that, be careful not to appear to desperate. Desperation usually is a kill joy in situations like this.

my 2 cents on the matter.
There is hope for Nigeria

Gentiger: It's morally and criminally wrong to advise people on this forum to obtain any legitimate document thru the back door. You complicate issues for the rest of us at the embassy. I can guarantee you that the world is reading these posts and making a cheap mockery of Nigerians. Going to the US is not a do or die affair. I wish we all can attach as much importance to going to heaven.
Thanks for this comment, very few Nigerians will reason this way

mannet: @Seal777,though this issue looks very complicated,but the bible says wisdom is profitable to direct and for me there's always a way out of every problem,this are my candid advice for him;

1.He should call his Ex and let them have a heart-to-heart talk on this issue in the presence of his present girl, let them have a deep talk base on the issue on ground, the guy should swallow his pride to the last drop and make sure his present girl doesn't complicate issues by been jealous or aggressive.Let them use their six senses and not be emotional about the issue. There's more to gain in this(DV2013 VISA) for everybody than been unnecessarily selfish and stupid. The EX will definitely want to prove tough and headie but with pleading, humility and prayer she will succumb to the next strategy.

2. After much discussion on the issue, there should be an agreement for them to get a marriage certificate at the registry through back door and backdated just to prove marriage is done and after getting the whole thing done the "fake couples" can separate when they get to the states, and arrange for a divorce, giving reasons like irreconcilable differences(so both the guy and ex gain here)then the guy can now come back after 1 year to marry his real woman and in 3 years the real woman can join him in the states(the guy and his present girl gain here).....Desperate situations requires desperate measures,he already put himself in a tight corner and he should be ready to go any length to make sure his American dreams come through because his not even sure if his present relationship will also last to marriage so he should not dull himself..No woman can destroy my dreams,i will always find a way around them.If he loose this chance of getting his visa he should just go and wait for another ten years cos this visa lottery is become seriously difficult like a camel passing through the eyes of a needle.
Look at who is quoting the bible, you call the name of God and at the same time advising people to commit fraud.

rosyluv2k3: We were going to do that but my husband spoke with his lawyer and he said we dont need to appeal but he will just petition the consular with all paperwork we used for the application but now adding creche details and evidence of where i stay right now.

Do you think that is advisable or we go the route of making another application? Although, the lawyer route we save us paying another application fee just the lawyer fee which is a lot cheaper.

Is either you appeal the refusal which will cost £80(paper hearing) or £140 (oral hearing) OR you go for administrative review which will cost nothing but you are not allowed to submit any supporting evidence.

If you want to appeal then you need show evidence that child care arrangement has been made.

All these processes will take at least 3months.

rosyluv2k3: Guys,

I have an issue here. I got my visa and i'm already in the UK but my child's application was refused based on the fact that his dad wont be coming to UK and we've not made necessary arrangements for his upkeep since he wont be coming with us.

We had the under listed in the application which they didnt complain about anyways:
1. Application form
2. Bank statement with more than enough money held for over 28days
3. Parents details e.g passport, visa etc. His dad studied also in the UK and noe lives in USA permanently
4. Letter from his dad
5. So many pics
6. Past visas we all had together.

We have an appeal for 28days and i've been trying everything possible to get a creche but no space everywhere.

Please advise on what i can do and the dad is not ready to give up US for the UK as he has a very good job over there.

Guys please advise.

Thanks
Reapplying would have been the best decision rather than appealing, without making adequate child-care arrangement appealing the decision will not get the required result.

Ask around for nanny who will come from time to time to look after your baby since your hubby is not joining you. Search online for creche in your local area, you definitely get one. If you got the arrangement in place then re-apply.

my school have informed BHC about my deferal and they acknowledged the mail.
Do I still need to inform BHC since my school has done dat on my behalf?
Also my visa application has spent 16 working days with the BHC and tot it shd be out already or will the deferal process affect or make tHem hold on till when my resumption approaches?

I don't think you need to worry again since your school has done that, wait and see when the visa comes out, if it does not cover the duration of your course from Jan then you request for it to be corrected.

Should I ask for a new cas attach  letters showing permission to come as a late start or just defer  admission to next year? Justwise pls I need your advice on this.thanks
Don't ask for another CAS, its really too late now, go for Jan admission, ask your school if they do Jan admission and defer it till then.

emmy4eve: I have done the deferral and advised the school to transfer my resumption date.

The main issue now is my application marks day 16 today so I want to ask if the application will be processed now and my visa issued towards january or will they hold on till wen resumption approaches.

Thanks justwise. Awaiting ur response on this
Ask your school to email the BHC about the deferral and you email them as well so that your visa will be issued for Jan. The earlier you do that the better.

emmy4eve: Good afternoon just wise and nairalanders.

I need an advise on my visa issue.

I submitted my application since 03 of this month. My school resumed on monday but where informed of my visa been delayed in the BHC. The school contacted BHC and they got a response asking them to give another resumption date since I won't be able to join the school for resumption and january was advised by the school.

So I wanna ask if my visa will be processed or will they hold on till wen the time approaches cos today marks it 16 working days.
If the school advice you to defer your application to Jan then do that because the embassy may have to consider your school's advice.
