Some of us talk as if the money is the solution. these person have to be taught a very clear lesson - "You don't come to Nigeria (whether as a visitor, a hustler, diplomat or whatever you call yourself) and lay your leprous hand on a citizen of Nigeria, NEVER". As for that DPO he should be stripped bare, tied to a palm tree, and flogged thoroughly with his service belt on his bottom. Rather than charge the case to court he wants to play ball with these beasts in Lebanese skin. You visit their country, you are most of the times treated as lesser animals; they come here and our Public Officers treat them as demi-gods. I advice Mrs Okpara to get good legal representation and press charges, by the time her aggressors pay damages running into tens or hundreds of millions they would have learned the lesson well. |
Nigerians react.

Surely I don't know which of Buhari’s Campaign Manager is handling this educational qualification/certificate issue, but I sure do know that he is doing a hell of a bad job. I see some incontinences in the WASC spread sheet. Some persons have shown the non-alignment of horizontal lines in the name column, which suggests a super-imposition of data onto a spreadsheet. In addition, observe closely that in the spreadsheet, there is a major horizontal line (usually thicker) after every 5 lines. Pls count from below and you would confirm this 5-lines break. Suddenly it's only three (3) when it gets to Buhari's name. This suggests that some data is missing and gives credence to the superimposition allegation. See the red markings. The way that this is going, I am beginning to dislike it. Call me an alarmist (I am not), I believe someone in APC's circle is playing smart on Buhari, and placing him in undue pressure, where he would gain and Buhari would loose.

Stella5:Wow! That statement is very implicative. The import of statement like these means that, there is information you have that could help as leads to stop an ongoing terrorist madness, or catch someone, but choose to hold it to heart, 'cos you are not the top boss. In other words, you wouldn't mind that society continues to be wounded. If your memory helps. In the course of a presidential debate between (now President) Barack Obama and John McCain, McCain said " ... I'm gonna catch Osama bin Laden, I know how to catch him". Let our politicians learn to watch their mouth. though we all know the mouth speaketh from the depth of the heart. |
Seriously do you mean Buhari didn’t know the difference between surname and other names? Didn’t he or his political party (APC) or campaign team go through the form before submission? It goes to tell a lot about our supposed intelligence. If this picture is true, this is the highest level of mediocrity by him, his legal team, campaign team and political party.

Hia! DSS/Marilyn Ogar, you will not kill us. We don't need you to hold a press conference for this, do the needful if your claims are true put the persons involved before a judge. Enough of Press Conferences and no prosecution. Q.E.D. |
cramjones:CramJones, I do not know you, I don't know what you do for a living, and I don't know how old you are, but if I were to profile you based on your write up, you are a very insulting and disrespectful person. I wonder if you had a disagreement with your friend, would you go ahead to abuse and insult their father? DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR - PRINT OUT THIS SHAMEFUL POST OF YOURS, AND SHOW THE WORK OF YOUR HANDS TO YOUR FATHER OF MOTHER, I BET THEY WOULD DISOWN YOU. We must as responsible persons not insult or abuse others because we hold a different religious, or socio-political viewpoint from theirs. As for Nairaland and its Mods, why do you permit such things to grace your pages. A word is enough for the 'wise'. |
I recall this very well, it was one hell of a sad story. The victim of the shooting was killed while playing football with some folks during the 'Subsidy Removal Protest' lasted. There was no attempt to disarm him, I bet you if they did, the victim's acquaintances would not have had the guts to take his corpse to the Police Station, they will swiftly be thrown into the cell. More so, the other folks who had gun shot wounds were initially denied treatment at a hospital, a police report had to be gotten before they were treated. He has told lies before a law court, in fact he should be tried for perjury. Trigger happy man, they believe they can kill someone and go Scot free. Let the Judge use this to send a VERY STRONG MESSAGE to other officers. May Daramola's soul requiescant in pace |
The joke is on the OP. Those hands are not Fashola's hands. OP, unable to process your transaction, try again later. |
1. Kudos to the Police for not bringing charges before the court. When shall we out-grow this sad practice where the Police arrests one and tells the Court to give it time to investigate, meanwhile the suspect is languishing in jail. How difficult is it to confirm what murder weapon(s) were used; establish the cause of death; obtain evidence as to the actual place of the murder, etc. 2. Congratulations to the Counsel from the AGF's office that has caused a disruption, since in their judgement the Police cannot handle the prosecution. 3. What a fine Judge we have for granting bail based on 'self-recognition', in order words he has made himself a 'surety'. (Does it not tell us how the case will eventually end, since the Judge has already become an acquaintance of the suspects?). I perceive that when the case is finally brought before the judge for hearing, the office of the AGF would withdraw the case, then we never know for a fact the circumstances of the death of the victim. Until we learn to do things rightly (without fear or favour), and follow standard procedures, we would keep having cases like this, many more muddled cases are yet to come. |
I vote for: 1. Jennimma 2. Angelamina 3. Temigrace |
Did Vanguard just refer to Chief Ayiri as Niger Delta Activist? Well no wahala. As for those hired crowd, psychophants, and political jobbers, your day of retribution is right before your very eyes, its just that you are blind to see it. Fellow forumites, here are some issues to ponder on: 1. The EFCC Drags Ibori to court for embelzzlement of public funds, the DTSG states that no money is missing, 1+1=3, and Ibori is freed. 2. It was same Oghara people that protested that the Nigerian Government not arrest their son and 'leader'. He eventually fled the country. 3. He is jailed in the UK, that's long after his wife, lawyer, mistress and relative are sentenced in the UK for the crimes they did commit in Nigeria. (laughs) 4. Uduaghan and the DTSG want the money Ribadu claims Ibori sent as bribe to him, currently in the custody of the CBN and the matter being in court. 5. For years running Ibori's birthday has been celebrated in his absence with the support of the DTSG, officers of the state government and the like minds of Ibori. 5. Some of the projects uncompleted by Ibori, are to this day uncompleted by his cousin - Uduaghan. Painfully enough the feeler you get is that Ibori is preffered to his maternal cousin - Gov. Uduaghan. WE AS A PEOPLE NEED SERIOUS MEDICATION! |
N4bn for what? So we dont have prorities any longer. At a time when most of our hospitals have become glorified pharmacy shops, our higher institutions are poorly funded, power distribution has made epilepsy to be jealous of it. Cant they look 4 a purpose built office and buy it. DID YOU KNOW THAT N4bn is N100,000 in 40,000 PLACES? |
It's very true. My sister told me of this story when I went to visit her at DELSU. Each time I recall it, I'm confused and mad at the said 'pastor'. Thank God justice has been served. |
Concede? Do they mean the political parties should campaign for all voters to ensure they thumb-print for the Igbo flagbearers. Infact what does Ohaneze TRULY want? An Igbo president, or Sovereign state of Biafra, or to support GEJ in 2015 (the one some of their selfish leaders do). As far as I am concerned, the effective political enemy of the Ibo's in Nigeria's politics is the Ibo Man. Period! |
@ ileobatojo Q.E.D. We want to leave everything to God, even d things He has blessed us wt abilities to do. The issues/facts of d case will determine if d doctor will go in for criminal negligence, d parents will sure walk free. |
I don't pity d guy. It was his decision to take his own life. Is he d one and only person on planet Earth to have been dumped by a woman? I pity d parents who have to bury a child, and d girl who would be called names. |

Are you surprised? No don't be, because the pastors permit it. If you ask, they would tell you God looks at the heart, and not the outward appearance. Excellent! Soon they would be permitted to wear their pants & bra to such houses. The painful thing is that these so called 'pastors, churches & members' bring ridicule to the name of Christ Jesus (may God help them). Most pentecostal bible bashing church worker wants to run a 'church' (sorry, weekly earnings business). |
@Yujin wow! so he's just a chip of the old block. It's 'side-board' sir, NOT 'sideburse' |
Wallie: People are so funny!Excellent example! Yes I would employ his services. For the fact that someone called him, he would not take anything from the home, unlike if he went on his own to burgle the house. |
