Goel: India rejected a similar plane offered by HAL 1990. JF-17 is a joke for IAF standards, not even a trainer. It's for countries who can't afford better planes. The JF-17 is a capable light weight aircraft. It's in the same class as the Gripen C/D. It also fills the same gap of being an affordable modern air asset. |

Goel: No it didn't. AMRAAM can only be fired by F-16. You have to integrate softwares & codes before integrating missile systems. Only idiots without an iota of military knowledge will believe that Pakistan used JF-17. F-16 were just not allowed to be used in a war, that's why their official quote included JF-17. And not two planes, only one MiG-21 was lost. Rest was all internet buzz spread by internet terrorists to save their faces. https://www.rt.com/news/470425-india-sukhoi-pakistan-parade/ From evidence seen after the February 27th incident, only one MIG-21 fighter was shot down. Claims of any other shoot down made by India and Pakistan are just claims. Your comment of F-16s not used in more also makes no sense. From what was seen in February 27, JF-17, Mirages and F-16s were used. With the JF-17 and Mirages used to strike ground targets, and the F-16s used to lay ambush for Indian fighters. Off course India has a far better Air Force than Pakistan, but the Pakistani's showed that they would make India work very hard to achieve an air victory in actual war situation. That's to say that the prospect of Indian air looses would negate the value of victory. |

Goel: You want any more reason? China itself doesn't use JF-17. It's a low cost one for poor nations.
Reason being India. Air Force had doubled its strength between 1990 and 2010 while defense budget close to triple between 2009 and 2018.
Next decade will be a revolution for Indian aviation sector once India operationalizes most of its systems and puts them in production. Why would China use the JF-17 when it already flies the J-10? Your assertion makes no sense. I understand you are Indian, you have every right to defend your country but please make reasonable arguments. |

Sizzorkay: I don't know much about military matters, but shouldn't the soldier with the dog be in the front of the team? you know, with the dog more in the front of the troops instead of in the rear, it's kind of useless if the canine is in the rear no? I don't know much of military matters myself, just started following the military last year. I think since they just rappelled down from the helicopter and moving towards the target, that's why the dog is behind. When they reach the target, the soldiers would unleash the dog, and follow carefully from behind. At-least that is what I see in movies and military documentaries. |

It has been confirmed, Nigeria not Niger would be getting 12 MI-35m attack helicopters.· [b]Oct 23 Interesting: Russian FSMTC official Anatoly Punchuk says a contract was signed for the delivery of 12 Mi-35 attack helicopters to Niger Derek Bisaccio @DerekBisaccio Evidently Russian media dropped the ball on this one. Though it was said to be a contract between Russia and Niger https://reuters.com/article/us-russia-africa-niger-helicopters/russia-signs-deal-to-supply-niger-with-12-attack-helicopters-ria-idUSKBN1X220TAll of the original articles saying that on various media agencies have been updated, changing "Niger" to "Nigeria" Russia & Niger ink deal for delivery of MI-35 combat helicopters — RT Business News rt.com 1:43 PM · Oct 24, 2019·Twitter Web App 1 Like Derek Bisaccio @DerekBisaccio · Oct 24 Replying to @DerekBisaccio Worth noting that a dozen Mi-35s, even priced conservatively, would come to a cost of virtually the entire annual Nigerien defense budget. Derek Bisaccio @DerekBisaccio · Oct 24 For whatever reason, Russian media seems to screw up the Nigeria Mi-35 contract in big ways when Punchuk speaks on it. A few years back a routine comment on the deal was misconstrued to be a reference to a new deal for Su-30s for Nigeria Quote Tweet Derek Bisaccio @DerekBisaccio · Jun 26, 2017 Replying to @DerekBisaccio Answer: It was a misquote. The contract was announced as Russia welcomed dozens of African heads of state to the southern Russian city of Sochi amid a push by Moscow for clout on the continent. shadowprimezero: I'm really happy to see NA integrating solutions from lessons learnt, particularly with the thermal optics mounted on top of the vehicles for better situational awareness. I would like them to redesign the front of the vehicle though, I really don't like the design there. Other than that, it looks like a very nice APC. The front grill looks like this ugly Russian Zil Karatel MRAP. Although this Russian FSB vehicle is worse.

What I also like is the addition of add-on armour, passenger windows and the improvement on the turret. I'm sure there's going to be provision for blast seats as those have not been added. |
