Stormtrooper11: This Russian war spoilt alotta stuff but people in the helms might not believe in the capability of the Chinese platforms.
Nigerian flyboys wanna fly American. I don't think it's this Russian war that spoilt stuff. Although this war has put a nail on Russia's coffin and slammed it shut with regards to military procurement. If you remember correctly, Nigeria has been chasing the Super Tucano since the administration of former President Yar'Adua. Including attempts by President GEJ to purchase American helicopters from Israel. It's been a long time coming. Really Nigerian pilots want to fly American. |

Odunayaw: If the FG have learnt anything at all, they'd run for their lives. This will effectively tie almost 50% of our attack platform to the whims of the US
But meh, I know my government will reason from their intestines so I wouldn't hold my breath Apparently FG has not learnt anything. We are now firmly under the influence of the United States government. Super Tucanos - America AH-1Z - America Engines for M-346F/A - America Engines for NNS Kada - America Engines for 2 x OPVs from Turkey - America Engines for Proforce Defence ARA 2 MRAP - America Engines and subsystems for Akinci UCAV - America Critical parts of Nigerian security architecture is completely Americanized. |

Toju200: that reminds me NA once signed a deal with DICON for 100+ vehicles. Have they delivered all I remembered they delivered a few good numbers last year. Plus i haven't even seen them since DICON has some new version Ezugwu MRAPs, I don't think they have been delivered to the army though. I've only seen them at defence exhibitions. |

This is another confirmation that we have concluded plans and delivery would soon begin for the M-346F/A aircraft for the Nigerian Air Force.
There also seems to be evidence that Nigeria would also receive Bayraktar TB-2 Drones.

Breaking News
The Nigerian government that purchase over 300 armoured vehicles in one single purchase has approved another, even larger round of procurement of armoured vehicles for the army.
We have all seen how effective the MRAPs and Tracked Vehicles purchased from China have been.
It would be nice for the government to purchase local in this round of Procurement. With Proforce Defence Nigeria providing a huge offering of different types of MRAPs and APCs.
I'm definitely hoping that we will see additional Tanks and likely IFVs in this round of Procurement.

MAN1960ii: Please stop talking like a child
If there are no nuks deployed in NATO Eastern states today tell me what will Russia do if NATO starts deploying nuks in Eastern Europe tommorow, there are no laws stopping NATO from deploying nuks in its Eastern member States. The only way out for Russia is to prevent or stop such military organization from coming to it's doorstep, if the US finds it self in the same situation as Russia the US would have taken more drastic measures.
NOW I Will PROVE THAT THE US WOULD HAVE DONE WORST.
THE CUBA MISSILE CRISIS 1962 Take a look at what the US did to Cuba when missiles were deployed in the country by the Soviet Union it's a perfect example of how powerful nation's view their national security interests.
In 2021 China wants to have a naval Base in the Atlantic ocean and equatorial guinea wanted to host the base, the US immediately sent a high level delegation to equatorial guinea to discuss the threats the naval Base will pose to it's national security since then the deal for the Naval Base has been put to a hold. Don't forget that the shores of equatorial guinea and the shores of the US are thousands of miles apart but still the US still feels threatened by this base.
It will be wrong to call Russians military confrontation with Ukraine unprovoked when days before the war US vice president was in Ukraine saying that the US welcomes Ukraine with open hands in to NATO, just imagine what it means for Russia's national security.
So if the US is allowed to pursue it's security interests even in an African country which is thousands of miles away from its borders then why would almighty Russia not pursue it's own security interests with it's own neighbor which he shares it's largest border with.
America wants to surround Russia with military bases and this is what Russia is trying to avoid.

Sizzorkay: Exactly, Zelensky should already be impeached, his country is being used as a battleground by the West to weaken Russia, at the expense of Ukraine's infrastructure and mass deaths of ukrainians, isnt that insane? when its all said and done, nothing will be left of ukraine It's a shame. |

Tinfoil: Despite all the racism Africans have received in Ukraine, their president wants to address the AU. It would be very bad if he was allowed on the other hand it would be ideal to invite Russia Africans face heavy racism in Ukraine and Russia. African governments need to stay completely off this war. Funny, over 1,000 Ukrainian soldiers surrendered today, and I saw what looks like the hand of a black person in one of the photos. |

• 40x Mistral SAM’s for SIMBAD-RC from MBDA France they will be installed on 2x Dearsan OPV for The Nigerian Navy.
• 24x F-124 turbofan engines ordered for 12* M-346FA/FT aircrafts. This is a significant confirmation of Nigeria's purchase of the M-346, at last, the final days of the Alpha jets are fast approaching. SAM systems for the OPVs we ordered from Turkey, nice! |

bidexiii: this racked vehicles are kicking BOT ass and saving lives, if we can get Russian BMP 2M would be a game changer. Although it has tin/light Armor but the remote gun and other optical sensor would improve combat efficiency With the war in Ukraine, I don't think we will be getting any military equipment from Russia any time soon. From the war in Ukraine, you can see how 30mm guns are important. I think we need to purchase proper IFVs from China to support our APCs and MRAPS. The Nigerian military has received nearly 350 units of Wheeled and Tracked armoured personnel carriers. The 12.7mm HMGs which the vehicles carry are great, but we need heavier firepower. |
