the executive education ranking is quite different. MBA ranking provide a better assessment of business schools

Yes,GMAT score is not needed,but it helps your application. They get candidates from schools all over the world,a lot of countries with educational system better than Nigeria's. I've talked to them and asked what i can do to make sure i enter,and they said a good GMAT score.
I'm terrible in Math,that's why I'm not trying the Finance programme

What ! They refused you with 740 GMAT ?? Darn,I think it wasn't about the GMAT,but because of your first degree, don't mind the as*es.
I plan to apply to Cranfield School Of Management UK for Msc in Marketing,I'm aiming for a 650 GMAT ( The require 550 ). My luck is my first degree is business related - Insurance. I plan to apply for Sept 2009. I don't know much about US Student visa,that's why I didn't bother.

If you still like UK,there are other great Business Schools ( Check that list I gave you ), But most importantly DO NOT waste that amazing GMAT score. I know you'll get into a good UK/US school. And more imortantly focus on the letter you write to the school,believe me it's as important as your GMAT.
We really should keep in touch man. I'll buy you coffee at Starbucks on 5th Ave, Upper East Side.
We're taking Wall Street by storm next 2 years. What you think lol.

My point is doing a Prof course for a 2/3 years while still jobless won't help him,it also limits him to the field in which he did the course, and it won't erase his 3rd class, but an Msc / MBA which is also a University qualification would better his educational status.

Listen very well to what Jascobee has said,don't dare come here without an Msc degree,you would NOT get a job. After grad take an Msc in a Business course - Marketing, Managment or Human Resources. With an Msc in one of those,you don't even need to do NYSC, it's 100% sure you would get a good job in a bank here.

I don't know anything about your ability to stay in US after grad,but the school you wanna go is very prestigious so I'm postitive you should get a job in US,and everything happens in NY baby. There are also some Top Business Schools in US & UK who are assure you of them getting you a job / recurtiment after graduation, sort of like Lagos Bus School does.

Finance is also a good course, but much too hard for my head, I plan to do my Msc in Management.

I would first like to advice people who find themselves in this guys shoes ; If you are on a 3rd class in your final year in the University,take extra semesters ! It's better to waste 1 year,than waste your whole future. Some Universities do not allow students take extra semesters,so the best bet is not to submit your project,you automatically get an extra year for not submitting,you can use this extra semester to borrow courses to boost your CGPA, the difference between an a 3rd class and a 2:2 is not much.

The best bet is to take an Msc or an MBA. It might be hard to enter into an MBA with your third class,so take an Msc in Marketing / Management or try MBA at the University you graduated from. Don't waste your time with all these professional courses that are not really relevant,and employers might not care about.
There is hope for you big time.

If she applies with the WAEC Cert,with diffrent birthdays from her passport,he application would surely be rejected,it would also being her credibilty in question,since the ECO would call her a liar. SHe ca forget about ever going to the UK in the near future.
If she applies without WAEC,she would also be rejected,and be told she didn't add her WAEC result. SHE WOULD SURELY BE ASKED FOR HER WAEC RESULT !
Her best bet is to visit WAEC talk to them,"grease a few palms" if you know what i mean.If she rallys around it can come out in a few days. Na Nigeria be this.

Anything above half (50%) is best,and once again make sure you have sorted out/paid for accomodation before applying,that's a very easy way to get refused.

I have an unconditional letter from a british uni. do u have to make any deposit payments for school fees before applying.

It's not compulsory to make payments,but it is advisable to do that,it makes your application more credible,try to make payments for your accommodation ( hostel or apartment ) where you would live when you're there.
There are a lot of threads here on Nairaland that have tackled this issue try to read up on them. 1 x
