Concept: I experienced nervous breakdown & I was told by the doctor that my smoking was the cause but still couldn't agree not until I began noticing that anytime I smoked I felt that funny stuff in my body again then I decided to quit. I started smoking in either 1994/95 & stopped in the year 2000 however smoking is a bad habit, if you get addicted I pray that God delivers you. I would wake up in the middle of the night to look for cigarette in the neighbourhood if I have forgotten to buy some in the evening. It was that bad. I thank God, for so many years now I don't even count cigarette as been relevant to me anymore.
LmaOooo, I understand. I've done that so many times. It's seriously messed up.

JallowBah: Like I said before here; I am not english, so sometimes my writing can be misunderstoodsmiley
You still have more to learn yet you stand firm that what you say is correct when two people from that region say no, it's not. That's not how you learn.

Maybe, it would have been better for you if I was in gambia, uneducated and telling you what I've told you, may just maybe, then you might take it in.
FashionRe: Senegal Women Tattoo Their Gums To Improve Their Smile by kandiikane(mod): 2:26am On Jan 18, 2013
JallowBah: Talk about talking things out of context..read it again.

And there is not a thing as Senegambians, unless you live on the strip. You are either senegalese, og gambian.
Jallowbah, did you not write this. Yes or no? And you even had the audacity to say ask any gambian if they call themselves senegambian? And is this not the strip you mentioned? Come on, keep your brain active, keep track of what you write. Yes, I am Gambian and theindella is senegalese but we are united as senegambians. Get that through your thick skull.

98% of the vids are in uk? How should you know? If you knew as much as you said you know, you would have realised that there is actually a 'thing' called senegambia, outside the strip. Don't try to turn this into, ' I didn't know this because only 2% of cultural shows call it the 'senegambian' in norway' you should have known this if you know about this culture.

It shows ignorance!

Don't get technical on me jallowbah, was this not your quote?

" I know much about gambian culture"

So, you don't know much about gambians anymore or is it the soo? In your mind there's a difference between, I know much about Gambian culture and I know so much about gambian culture? Please!

How the hell can you conclude because the kids were not normal or there was something wrong it was down syndrome because such was practice in your country?

And so, in your husband's village they are still throwing away babies but not it's perfectly healthy babies they are throwing away for the hyenas?

Jallowbah, I don't give a shyt about your skincolour, it has to do with the ignorance you displayed. I acknowledged you when you said you were married to a Gambian but what I don't understand is the negativity you spewed on this thread. Is that the only image you have on Gambians? Throwing kids in the forest and marabouts performing rituals?

You want to learn about the culture and I am being brutally honest with you. Gambia is very very small, so you cannot compare it to the whole west. Men cheat that's a fact, but I'm telling you how exactly it is. Majority of Gambian men will marry those they have the same cultural values with. If they marry a westerner, doesn't have to be white, can be african american, they will surely marry someone from their region. If they are abroad, they will move the wife where they are, get them a flat or leave her to stay with family members. The family members will acknowledge her more than they would the foreigner because of the culture.

If Gambians born and bred abroad cannot speak the language or know much about the culture, they'll be made fun of and force to learn when they travel back home. It's has nothing to do with you being white but preserving our culture.

Even, those who marry other africans marry their own people talkless of westerners.

J12: It doesn't matter if they decided or chose to be homosexuals or not. Some pedophiles did not chose to be that way, even some kleptos and their ilk. As long as they're in the minority and the majority do not support/ or detest what they do and want them to them to be punished, then they have no choice. . These homos are just unlucky to be Nigerians
Having sex with a little kid may sometimes not be a choice but we do not need religious texts to tell us it's wrong so is having sex with your dad or brother. You honestly don't need religious texts for you to know it's wrong. Homosex.uality is different, you cannot even compare. Two grown men adults consent to have sex with each other. I don't see how it compares to having sex with a little kid who's brain is not even fully mature yet or even an animal which is a completely different specie.

There are psychological effects for those who have endured sexu.al, abuse and physical effects for the children of those who produce children through imbreeding but I don't see any of the homo.sexu.als suffering from psychological and physical effects apart from the mental and physical abuse they get from those against it. Homo.sex.uality will only affect you, if you want it to affect you. What two grown men decide to do in their bedroom shouldn't be any of your business. People are like 'ahh, they get phucked in the azz' but it's ironic how straight men enjoy phucking a woman's azz more than the punny and also love getting their azzes fingered and licked. G--spot my foot!

Hey, jadakiss, why don't you try to handle me? You want an uneducated goat to defend your beliefs with talks of engagement and looking at pictures of buttchee.ks? Go sit your azz in the corner.

What did you youtube? The gambian cultural week in olso? What exactly is your point? That it says Gambian therefore there is no such thing as Senegambian?

You've lived there? How long 3months? So, now you know soooo much?

You are very contradictory. You mentioned the strip and you deny it too? Leaving kids to get eaten by hyenas in the forest is not killing them? Stick to your stories.

If you were not trying to pull the race card then how the hell does talking about how likely it is for your husband to have a second wife means I'm insecure? How does it correlate?

First, you said there is no such thing as senegambian, now you say those you ask hate being called that? Seriously, how do you want us to believe this when your quote implies it's not true because you've never heard of it.

Get your facts right, mate!

We are not talking about African men but Gambian men. It's not a good attribute but Gambian men are very very promiscious and are very likely to have a second wife, especially if they are married to a westerner. It hurts but it's the goddamn truth.

Don't get it twisted love, just because you're white doesn't give you special treated for me to pick on you. You will still get the same reply if you were from congo if you spew false information. You say your husband's family told you the things you do know but I am telling you the things you've written here are false and you should go get proper information. I doubt all your husband's people gave you this information. 30years ago people didn't even know what down syndrome was in Gambia. So, how the hell would they know the kid had down syndrome?

You cannot tell me that they hate being called senegambian when you originally said there was no such thing. If you had originally known about the word, you won't have written, "there was no such thing."

Thank you. I have noticed the hit, it worst when I have not smoked for a day. I literally find it hard to see straight or stand straight. I usually have to sit down. And it may also be because of the mixtures of menthols because that's when you can taste it for-when you haven't smoked for a while.

I had admit being addicted because I want quit. I find that people judge me negatively because of it but I really cannot blame them because smoking is seen as a negative attribute.

For my lips, I keep looking back at my old pictures and my lips were lighter but now my top lips has gone too dark for my liking and my bottom lip is starting to. People would never know I'm a smoker unless I tell them but some days when I've smoked a lot I notice it gets darker than usually and dry so I usually scrub it hard until it starts to peel.

lari03: my lips are partly red now and I feel healthier now.
That's good news, hopefully mine will go back when I finally go off it.

LOL! Insecure? Please! Wait, are you now trying to slowing involve the race card or what? Tell me what am I insecure about, the fact that you're white, the fact that you are from norway or is it the fact that you married a Gambian? Or insecure that a gambian married a white woman? Lol! Oh, hunny! You have so much to learn.

Laughing at the fact that you claim, your culture to be similar to mine which is absolutely false is not what you call being naive. You need to google the meaning of naïve then look in the mirror.

I am telling you what you do not know. You think you know all about the Gambian culture but you do not. You've only been there on holiday. You say you want to learn but you do not want to open your ears.

I have not taken anything out of context but showing you the amount of rubbish you've spewed here.

You continue to claim vast knowledge of my culture but yet feeling hurt because I mentioned that your husband may have a wife home. No, hun if you know so much about my culture then you should know this. You want to accept that marabouts use humans for rituals yet you don't want to accept your husband may have a second fulani wife because he's close to your heart. Double standards, my friend!

No, you haven't asked any Gambian about the term because you clearly stated you've never heard it, you mentioned probably on the strip- is it because of the senegambian hotel?lol so, you are lying. Even outsiders who have never been there before still term the region and people as SeneGambians talkless of those living there. We are proud of who we are and we try our best to come together as one in every aspect.

Guess what I hate? When outsiders like you marry in the culture and think they now know every single thing about it. Even those born and bred there are still learning talkless of you who has never lived there. It's true that an outsider who studies cultures can know more that someone who was born there but you know absolutely nothing. And no, hun. I am not putting myself above you, I am only trying to correct you. wink

P.S. I have no reason to learn about norway. Not interested. If you want to open a thread about the similarities of killing children in both cultures, go right on ahead. It will just show how ignorant you are because that is not the right way to try to feel connected to an African culture.
FashionRe: Senegal Women Tattoo Their Gums To Improve Their Smile by kandiikane(mod): 9:56pm On Jan 17, 2013
JallowBah: Lol. In Norway, they have Gambian events, and Senegalese events. I have been to both.
Gambians and senegales in Norway come together good, they don`t talk bad about each other at all, and yes, they all say the culture is much the same, but at the same time..it does not take more than to look at prices for clothes, shoes, rice, fare, nuts, pure shea butter to see that there is f.ex a big economical difference.

And no, the gambians and senegalese I know, are all immigrants, except for ONE who lived in Sweden from he was 14, and is now in Norway, close to 32 years old.

How is it incorrect information for them to say they don`t consider themself Senegambians? How is it MORE correct for you to be proud of being a Senegambian, than for them to be more proud of calling themself only ONE?

And no, I did not thought you were lying, I knew you were lying. Big differencesmiley I know many people marry more than one, and many people DON`T. Individuals and all, remember..?
And my "culture" has more things in common with the gambian culture than you think. If you wish to know more about that, either make an own thread dedicated to trying to GBAM me, or send me an e-mail, hon. I would be happy to take that discussion with yousmiley

And what rubbish have I spewed here..? Nah, nothing. I know much about gambian culture, and I still have more to learn. And I love it. Not all, but so far, most of it.

And yeah, I am SURE you meant Norway.
You are going off the mark hun. You do not read neither do you try to comprehend ones post. I did not say it's more correct to proud of calling yourself seneGambian than being a Gambian, you are trying to act like you know it all but you don't. wink

My point to you was, although we are separate countries, we are one and the same whether there is a huge economical difference or not. It's not the price of groundnuts that makes two people the same. You said you never met a Gambian who refer to themselves as senegambian, I told you that's because you know born and bred Gambians, either that or you have not asked them about the phrase.
When you ask a Gambian abroad where they are from, they will say Gambian, duh! They will refer to themselves as senegambians when they are trying to explain cultures and values. Majority of people never heard of Gambia but senegal, therefore, to get a clear view of gambia they give senegal's cultures practices as an example which very similar in every aspect.

Didn't you say your husband was travelling to gambia to stay for a while? Is he still there? He's got a wife there to warm his bed. He's even fulani so imagine. LOL!

Don't be naïve, love. Ofcourse, we are individuals but it doesn't stop you practicing what your people practice.

Your culture and Gambian culture is similar? Oh, you mean they throw down syndrome kids in the forest for wolves to feed on just like you said gambians also use to throw down syndrome kids in the forest for hyena's to feed on? Lol, taaa! Please.

Hun, you don't know much about Gambian culture for I would have actually agreed with you if you were right. If thiendella would have agreed with you but there huge flaws in certain things which I've quoted you on. It's great that you want to learn about my culture but it's best if you get correct facts and not just hearing the word marabout and assume they practice using body parts for money too.
CrimeRe: Gay Men Stripped & Paraded In Imo State by kandiikane(m): 9:30pm On Jan 17, 2013
J12: I understand you but the fact is some societies don't tolerate some acts/behaviours and they'll make laws penalize persons found to engage in such act.
US doesn't tolerate polygamy, incest etc Afghanistan and some Muslim countries don't tolerate adultery, stealing. . . In nigeria, homosexuality is not tolerated, this is evidenced by laws that have been enacted to punish offenders and the general negative perception the society has towards homosexualism. It is not for me to say whether its right or wrong. Just saying it as it is.
I also understand this. Polygamy is a personal choice really. It's ok in Africa but in the US, only 1 man and woman are allowed to be recognised by the nation as husband and wife but many sects still do practice marriage without needing it to be recognised by the government.

The mormons in US practice. These are choices made but sexu.lity is not a choice(I know, I'll get people opposing this). I mean, if for example I cannot stand looking at a man's pen!s but get turned on by a woman's boobs, I cannot help it. Whether it's from the womb or my brain malfunctioned, I have no control over whether it's a woman I want to have s.ex with or a man.

If it was solely based on choice why would I be carpet munching when I could get my insides warmed by a man? And why would people still practice this 'choice' knowing fully well they could get burnt alive in certain communities where it's even more frown upon than child abuse?
