EducationRe: Lagos To Ban Unintelligent Students From Public Schools by kandiikane(m): 2:12am On Nov 12, 2013
obo_man: Our leaders always demonstrate how clueless and foolish they are...........................

Why ban an 'unintelligent' student from school when a good education is all he/she needs to become more intelligent?

If we all ban people we class as 'unintelligent' in school, where do you want them to go? The further you drive these students way, the more they become disenfranchised, thereby making them a menace to society.....

A student we class 'unintelligent' 2day ( maybe due to family issues, health reasons, poverty) might overcome those obstacles and become more intelligent 2morw. Most students in Nigeria struggle not because they are stupid but because there are external factors affecting their studies....

If schools are then turning these students away, then they should bow their heads in shame.....

Instead of her to be looking at teachings standards and teaching facilities, she isn't. As a result, these poor souls will have to bear the brunt of her cluelessness....

Ban disruptive students, not 'unintelligent' student.... Any student that shows willingness to study, no matter his/her level of intelligence should be allowed in schools...

Let their WAEC and JAMB results be the judge!!! Why label a kid so early in life as 'unintelligent' when he might be the one to take us to Mars 2morw?

If 40% of student don't make it to SS classes because of poor grades, the system has effectively offloaded millions of 13/14 years old into the street, with no alternatives.

It won't provide apprenticeship scheme and yet wanna offload them?

Our leaders are highly unintelligent!!!

youngmonie: lol... They should go and learn trade Nigeria is in dear need of more mechanics, carpenters, plumbers, hairstylist, gardeners, skilled drivers, electricians, skilled bricklayers, They can serve their country join the armed forces....God there are lots of options in Nigeria ooo everybody cannot be accountant or doctor or lawyer
Well, this is absolutely wrong. Some people are slower than others. Failing maths or english, doesn't make one unintelligent, The government should have special tuitions/extra lessons for them during primary school or something to give them a better chance. There should be tests done early to determine which students are slower. I am sure if assessed in other areas they would be highly skilled in them. See autistic kids. If let's say bill gates(he dropped out anyway) failed maths and english or whatever subjects it was and he was popped off to do mechanics, We would not be on here today. Children should be encouraged and helped rather than banned. Everyone has a right to some form of education and the government needs to help students more. Find what they are passionate or skilled in and help them with that rather than banning them so they can end up being houseboys.

Hurt, angry. I was so shocked i couldn't get my words out when I confronted him with the evidence.

Anyhow, i did give him another chance. We are not together anymore but I do not regret the decision of getting back with him because he has become one person I can rely on.

My Bloody point!!!!! Why do people especially women sell children these dreams? Children will be growing up and when they reach a certain age start panicking and killing themselves over not being married. wth! School, marriage, children, society has constructed your whole life for you before you were even born and only parents can teach children that there is more to life than that.

kofsy: I just feel like asking this question from married folks cos these days, marriage scares the hell out of me. From stories about infidelity, physical/emotional abuse to incompatibility and family issues. I'm starting to feel it doesn't worth it. That institution called marriage looks overrated to me.

If you are married and you are reading this, in sincerity, are you enjoying your marriage? Do you think you'd pick the same partner if given the chance to start over. Are there lessons you feel unmarried folks should learn from your experience?
It is definitely not worth it and definitely overrated.

EducationRe: Was Your Name Ever Written Among The Noise Makers In Class? by kandiikane(m): 5:07am On Oct 11, 2013
Well, I was really a talker. When I was in grade four, I came 9th out of 33. Going home, I knew I was dead because I had to come between 1st and 3rd. On my report card it said 'talkative'. Anyway, long story short, my grandma beat the hell out of me when I got home(Your reportcard normally gets picked up by a family member) and whilst doing so, she was like "so ah send you go school foe mek you go tok? na you be di chief of di talkers?" Following day, she took me to class(not before insulting me and hitting me inside the 'gele gele' van in front of people) and told the teacher to beat me anytime I talk in class. The teacher did not waste time, he beat me with his black pipe right after my granma left.

lol, I remember calling my teacher goat once after he called me one because of my talking, Ahh I regretted that comment that day.

FashionRe: Fashion illustrations by kandiikane(mod): 4:48am On Oct 11, 2013
Vivly, honest advice to you from someone who studied fashion illustration, try googling fashion illustration images and get inspiration. Do research on how to illustrate because right now your drawings are a mess(looks like a kid drew them). Not that you can't do it but try and learn and not just stick pen to paper and call it 'fashion drawings'.
