Bullshyt! The cure was around the day the virus was manufactured. When people in Africa supposedly found the cure or about to find the cure, they quickly shut them up. Now, Danish scientist cure to be ready? Kwasia! Pay up!

MsDarkSkin: LOL you are a trip!! grin grin
But yeah some of our ancestors came from Nigeria..not all though. We have ancestry all over the western shores of africa..heck even Madagascar believe it or not. tongue

But Igbos definitely have influenced our language for sure. We even still use an old Igbo banking system cool..we call it "padna (partner) draw" smiley its where you have a group of people and they all put a certain percentage in the "group" with one acting as the banker. Every draw week one person in the group will inherit the money and it continues until everyone gets a lump sum. and it goes on and on..you can even borrow from it. smiley

anyway, i had the thread closed down because i am about to take a hiatus from nl soon
(i can have it unlocked if you want)...and i didn't want it to get ruined by haters in my absense. tongue tongue but it'll be up and running when i come back. smiley
Oh this padna you talk of is very common especially across west african women. We call it 'susso'

This right here gives me hope. I think I've got to be serious with maintaining my hair. Too much negligence too can stop the hair from growing to it's full potential.

@yield, I like the idea of the yarn braids. I've always wanted to do dreads, I guess this is the closest I can get to doing it. Erm, how do you mean it takes long. Is braiding it different to braiding normal hair extension and which exact yarn do you use. I want to try it. smiley

P.s. I had to go google tthe 3a/b hair. I've never been sure what my hair type was because it wasn't in the 4s. Just found a website that just got me my exact type- 3c. I will try you the cantu shea butter. smiley

lol, pray I continue in this journey, I give up easily growing my hair. I shall not shave my hair ever again, I will let it grow past my feet. lol grin

But i seriously love this below.

Going to save it to do for summer.
FashionRe: Beauty Of Natural Hair Thread :) by kandiikane(mod):
Here are Photos since I last shaved my hair. It's grown but my hair grows inwards making the hair look dense instead of outwards to make it look longer. Anyway, at first glance someone would think it hasn't grown much but it has, the length's just hiding underneath. smiley
I have literally gone overboard with the 'less is more' by completely neglecting my hair. Can't remember when I laast shampooed and conditioned it and creamed it-i mean the whole shibam. LAWD have mercy!! Thank God for wigcaps. grin

Luckily for me, my hair is soft so it's not dry even though I have not conditioned or creamed it in a while. Just get bits of strands on the side that can get dry. Probably because I sleep on it.

Erm, can someone recommend a good cream that's not oily based. Oil products just sit on my hair doing nothing.

You don't need all these soaps, just buy normal body scrub and use that just for your face with dudu osun.

maclatunji: Simple logic, she is likely to come-up worse if she strikes first. Equity my dear not equality. If the rule were to allow women to do the same as men, many would try it and come-out worse off. Islam is a pratical religion for all people. It embraces every type of scenario you can think of and comes out with a position that you can all work with. The blissful marriage obviously does not have this injunction applying to them. It is the gravely-ill ones that it applies to. What does it say? Man, control your anger and only tap her lightly instead of for example slapping or punching her.
You did not read my question well. How can she come off if she's able to beat the husband or do you want me to show proof of videos with women beating their partners?

Aye, sexkillz, I know you luff your woman wella but please lets not make this about her. tongue

@Ogugua, I agree too. Playing around with your hair much can stop it from growing to it's full potential.

usmsam: Abeg! Na human being weavon, abi na Brazillian or Peruvian dem dey call it these days. Anyways I don't trust women.

One of my ex before before dey fix weavon, 2 mths she no go remove am, sotey the thing come dey smell like dead body on top her head. Na im one night i dey fed up, I tell her say make she remove d thing for her head and wash her hair, or she no go sleep for my house dat night. The minute i see her without all that fakee hair, i loose interest in d relationship kpatakpata. I even start to prefer when she have the doti hair on and all my pillow dey smell and i dey hold breath wen she dey waka pass, compare to when she have her natural hair on. That is when i found out that naija women cannot do without fakee hair.
Lmfaoooo!! I don die! grin

usermane: To be honest,'BEATING' here is a relative term. To some, beating is equal to flogging, to others its a slap. But there are those who nvr resort to beating and would rather Divorce or Separate in the worst case scenerio.
Remember that a misbehaving wife has to first be admonished. If she doesnt amend then hubby could refuse her food,if she persist, he should stay out of bed from her. And eventually beating is only legal if the above measures have been employed in correcting her. But for the sake of truth and justice, beating here ought to be mild, not use of severe high impact force capable of yielding a stinging or burning sensation.
These just show how considerate Islam is. It is a simple religion but on an individual level, adherents can make it difficult for themselves if care isnt taken. Some muslims even batter their wives, pathetic isn't it?
Take Polygamy as a case, it is permitted for some of its merits but many muslim chose Monogamy. I mean how many men would chose d burden of multiple wives and how many wives relish the idea of a future co-wife. So also, is the issue of beating, Jack.
Erm, if the woman CAN beat the man, can she beat him if she tries all you wrote? huh

Op, try steaming your face to open up your pores and also exfoliate as sholly wrote. I have oily skin too and I do get excess sebum around my nose and cheeks if the I don't exfoliate so try doing that. Here's a link on how to steam your face:
http://m.wikihow.com/Steam-Your-Face

Since, you're allergic to teatree, I'm not sure which other products to recommend because my teatree products are the only ones I can swear by.
