You can’t make a killing when there’s task force on ground.

No be only task force.

Pick only requests from ladies. You can tell by the name and when you call. If you call and a guy picks, na them. Cut the call and cancel.

1.3 surge is meaningless for a short distance trip.

Lolz...and when u collect the loss money what will u use it and do?
To them that the only business they know, it's better for the car to be appreciating in current value in their lot than to sell at a loss. Na una they calculate inflation and cost if living. To an average business man that didn't go to school if his goods will not spoil in d store he is ready to live it their to appreciate before selling.
To him all na profit.

So to him if he bought a Corolla 1.5m in 2019 to sell 1.6 or 1.7m. isn't it better to leave it for 3yrs and have the car more than double it's value in 2022? Instead of selling at a loss let the car be there, it's not a perishable goods.

Smh, inflation don wipe out all the "profit"

You dey talk 2019/2020 wey dey backyard here? Most of them have been there since way back 2014/2015 with capital all tied down... That one no be business at all

This is the part I don't understand. Is it not better to sell the car at a loss and preserve the value of the money than leaving it there for years while the value keeps dropping daily

E.g. If I import a car in 2019 for 3m, I'm better off selling it for 2.8m in 2019 than selling it for 3.2m in 2022

This is Branch. I use Piggy though.
Might port to this Branch o.

Don't be swayed by unrealistic and unsustainable interest rates. When investing, the safety of your funds should be your priority

As one oga in the stock thread will always say, you may not make money from Branch today but when it all comes crashing down and it will, you will not lose money

Probably a loan app/bank/company that is giving loans at 30-100% pa.

And if it's not a bank, he will wake up one morning to withdraw his capital and stories will enter.
High risk, low reward.

Jesu.

And the guy say e get peace of mind, the end of this one fit be rest in peace self.

Those guys are definitely involved in some low key ponzi. I hope he withdraws his money before its too late.

This is one of the reasons I always arguewith you. Always praising bolt as if its the best to happen.

I get this every Monday.
It's small but I have peace of mind to do better things.

The interest rate is above industry standard. Where are they getting the 20% they are paying you?

I hope you don't wake up one day to realise the money is gone

grin a sad reality many don't understand

Adding to the fact that most of these cars stay at the dealership for years b4 buyer even come oh.

Dealership business is a big risk a lot of their money is being tied down and many rot away.

Reason most of them are doing 9ja used cars these days and the price will also reflect as well

This is why I can never go into that business

Check auto section you will see cars that have been on sale since 2019/2020. The OPs are still typing available, available on each post

The whole rise in price issue is because of devaluation of the Naira. Simple.
Generalzod, do u expect someone to buy market and sell at a loss?

Govt isn't also helping matter, taxation here and there, increasing existing ones and Introducing new ones. These are all the signs of a bankrupt nation. Everything that can go wrong has gone wrong.

100%

When you have time, check car threads on nairaland between 2016-2018, 2012-2014 cars were like 4-5m naira and a lot of people were buying them

Now in 2022, na only politicians and their cronies dey buy 2018 cars

The pictures of venza you posted here, prices are still reasonable, like 3.5 million converted to naira. I think clearing is the issue. Though I was told that prices of cars in America has gone up.

Lol

Hope you know the cars will not fly into Nigeria.

Expect to pay $968 in auction charges, $350 to port, $1200 shipping to Nigeria.

By the time the one that costs $6725 lands in Nigeria, you would have spent a total of N5.6m naira. Now add the cost of clearing which should hover around 1.5-2m, add cost of repairs and you're getting close to 8m already.

Dealer never even add profit

The kind greed wey don enter Car dealers head, I can't just explain, dem wan hammer by all means. Car Prices are killing nowadays. I dey plan to change my Toyota Camry to Venza, Omo like play play Venza full option nah 9m - 10m I dey see. Nigeria don cast O ! Ordinary Venza for 10m. This country is finished

Be blaming the dealers you hear. When they are clearing some of those venzas for 2.8-3m.

Do you know Toyota Venza is one of the most expensive cars to buy in auction? Even more expensive than a lexus of the same year

You don't believe me? Go to en.bidfax.info and check how much they are sold. You can compare the prices with Camry and Lexus of the same year.

I have attached some of the prices for you. Na who don chop belle full dey buy Venza especially if its toks

Like you said, you may be wrong. I was raised by old souls, so some things are just straight to the point for me. Like giving a baby a ball, he throw it to the floor. You pick it up and give the baby, he does same thing again. Common sense should know the outcome of the new job one just sign for.

I have ask question without no answer. If we spend 650k to buy phone, are we just going to drop it freely to them because we are trying to be a loving fathers? All I only said is for measure to be taken on some things. Same way I won't allow kids to be jumping on car seat or play with handles.

At this level, I will not buy a 650k phone knowing I have kids.

It's not about dropping freely because you're a loving father, it's the days you drop it on the chair to quickly check something in the kitchen and before you're back, it's in their hands. You will not always hold your phone or keep it out of reach when you're in the house.

And I am not necessarily talking of kids that are matured to know their left front their right. I'm talking of kids under two years.

Good evening my bosses, my 2008 Toyota Camry vibrates excessively. I've not been able to use it to work and my mechanic wasn't able to discover the cause. Especially when I'm in traffic and my leg is on the brake pedal and the car is on drive. The vibration will be too much, it reduces immediately I put it on neutral.

Then always put in Neutral when you're inside traffic. I used to have that issue and that was what did. I can't even remember how it was eventually resolved but I think it was one of the coils

Don't just analyse things base on hypothesis and paper works.

Have you used a V6 3.0L engine car b4?

My 1st car was a V6 3.0L and no went further to rent about 3 Corolla, a civic, 2 other Camry V6 3.0L and another Corolla and also a Camry 2.4L 4cyls.

So what experience do you have that you can use to counter my claims and verse experience of usage.

Yes you may have more numbers of years of experience than I but how many cars did you used for ehailing b4 hanging boot?

Mind you I talk not just from experience but also with records. I've records of my fueling histories while i was using all of these cars so b4 you counter my claim first go use a 2.4L then a 3.0L and then a 3.5L engine for ehailing then return back and edit your post.

This is me dishing out vawulence academically

There's nothing you'll tell me about a V6 vehicle that I don't know. I have used a v6 vehicle all my life bar the short period on bolt. I even have a vehicle with a 3.7l V6 on the sea coming into the country. The fuel consumption is usually over exaggerated.

Check the image attached to this post, it was taken from a vehicle with a 3.2L V6 engine and has a premium fuel requirement

Average of 15MPG over 176 miles. Fuel used is 176/15 which is 11.73 gallons or 44 litres. Cost of 44 litres is N7,200

My Corolla would do 21MPG over the same distance. Fuel used is 8.38 gallons or 31 litres. Cost of 31 litres is N5,234

Difference in cost of fuel between Almighty Corolla and a V6 vehicle is N2000 naira for every 176 miles/281kms covered. This is telling us that the maximum difference in cost of fuel between someone that uses a Corolla and another that uses a V6 vehicle in a day is N2000 naira.

Is N2000 naira extra cost of fuel the reason he won't make profit? What exactly is your point?

People use V6 Camry for Bolt and they obviously make profit. The Camry and Lexus ES350 share the same mechanical parts. Cost of maintenance and cost of fuelling is more or less the same.

Be like na the name Lexus dey confuse you. Like I said, if the guy is driving his own vehicle, it's a good enough tool for the job and he will make money. Stop discouraging him.

SamuelTaiwo already responded to you earlier.

The car is too big for the job you won't make profit.

I cant advise you on what to do, just make tour decision.

A trier will convince you.

Do you have a driver's account already or do you want a link to open one?

If he's driving himself he will make profit. That car shares parts with a V6 Camry of the same year. People use the Camry for Bolt why not a Lexus?

I will not be surprised if the parts are cheaper compared to a corolla.

As for fuel, if 5k fuel grosses 20k on a Corolla, it will gross 15k on the Lexus.

If Bolt fare is too low, the honourable thing to do is to leave their app, look for your own passengers and set your own fare.

This act of stealing from riders is callous, heartless, insensitive, inconsiderate and must be condemned.

The other guy who cheated a rider on a delivery ended up with a blown engine. My prayer is for such to befall every other person who engages in sharp practices while on this job.

A business man thinks differently from an office worker grin. The only thing I don't joke with is my families comfort. My Corolla serves me perfectly as my hussling car. When I hang booth and go into another business I can launch a big car for personal movements.
For now all funds is for investment and business, luxury later wink

grin grin

With the way our exchange rate is going, if you cannot close your eyes to buy that Camry now, you will find it difficult buying any vehicle later on.

If 3.5m is too much to buy a 2009 camry now, 9m will be too much to buy a 2013 Camry in 4 years time since you will not want that particular camry again years from now.

That's what I meant when I said at some point, you will have to just buy and get done with it or you continue using the corolla till God knows when. There will always be one more business or one more property that will be a better use of that 9m in 4 years time.

Besides, how much enjoyment can you really get when you're old and above 60. How many years go con remain to enjoy. The time to enjoy that money is now grin

Thanks for checking.
Turned out a rider made a report, which I have no clue about. They keep asking me to reply them via in-app whereas I can't access such without logging in.

Till now I have no clue about the details of the complaint. I have no issue with any rider as far as I know.
I got a mail from them this morning about investigating the case. Imagine, you first suspended my account without informing me what happened. You are now investigating a case leaving me in the dark.
I can only thank God this is a side hustle and meant to be a stepping stone to something better.

Uber don disturb me tire. I think I will be taking my car for inspection to complete the documentation I began last year.

Indriver too dey try.

Abeg anyone with a correct plug for roadworthiness renewal here? Just the referral. I'm willing to take my car for VIOs inspection. Thanks.

This was the exact experience the driver I shared had. Don't waste your time contacting them again , they will unblock it after two weeks.

Story...na so one of my guy talk. Say every two years him must change car. I told him when reality sets you will give urself brain.
Things have changed o, economy don red.
I tot of buying Camry muscle early this year, I come dey reason say, so I go carry money for 3cars buy only one car?
When I considered 90k extra every week and driving a car that will even consume more fuel nobe person tell me which one to choose.
Before I go start to dey complain say na only dashboard my money dey show grin
So my brother spend wisely, if u have money increase your fleet or u invest in your farm again, no go dey look estate they day-dream.

At some point you still have to pamper and enjoy yourself.

If you had bought the Camry, it's out of the way and you can focus on other things.

I don't subscribe to changing cars every year though. Minimum I'll use a private car is 5 years. I buy cars I like and will enjoy driving for long no matter how much the car costs.

What I mean is, I don't do, I have 1m what car can I buy with 1m. Say I like a 2016 Audi A6, that's what I'm buying no matter how long it takes to raise the money.

And when I buy, I use for a very long time

Reason why I insist on having an exit plan. It doesn't have to be perfect before one starts execution.
No pension, No leave bonus, No benefits at all, yet an average driver commits on the average, 10-12 hours daily on a company that can sack you at will without hearing your side of the story.

I just want to believe that it was not the first report about him using a longer route because if it was and he was blocked, then then the less said the better

Same issue happened to a driver I know

Turned out that his account was blocked. I guess this is Bolts new style. No email, no in app notification, nothing.

He only got to realise he was blocked when he called them. Their reason? Someone reported that he used a longer route and increased fare.

He was blocked for two weeks or so before they unblocked him
