the answers to those questions, should be what you tell the CBP when you arrive.

1. How did your brother-in-law migrate to the US?
2. Yes, your husband is probably under a ban. Let him reapply 5 years from the year of his first interview, and come clean in his application form and his interview.
3. No, it won't affect you. You just be honest and fill your forms yourself. You would probably be asked about your husband - use this opportunity to tell them the truth, that might help him, if and when he is going for his interview.

To all the gurus, where would you suggest someone like this woman's husband, come clean about previous misrepresentation etc. cheers!

hello to the gurus in the house, have been a silent leader on this platform and have learned a lot.
To my question, before I got married to my hubby he has applied for visiting visa 3 times which he was denied, though he went through agents, he later came to terms that this is something he could do himself so we decided to apply together last year with our daughter, but was also denied, he has a good job in d aviation sector while am also a farmer, most of his colleagues in the office get visas easily so he decided to apply again and again making d sixth time still denied so reading through this forum I guess maybe he has been placed on 5years ban which he wasn't told coz he said the VO that interviewed him last said he knows he has a good job but he's sorry he can't issue him a visa.
so he decided to go to south Africa to spend his leave.
now I want to apply with our daughter without him to visit my bro in-law coz he wants to celebrate his 10th year wedding anniversary which he invited us but my hubby said he doesn't want to go and still be denied, now my question is will his been denied everytime affect us myself and daughter since we have applied with him before and what are our chances?

Only if you are an agent of the canadian government and your life is in danger. For example, you were spying for canada and you are in danger of being caught, so you alert your handler in the canadian embassy and he/she will arrange for asylum for you, once you reach the gates.
Well, I saw all that in movies only oh, I don't know if its feasible in real life.

YOU WANT TO GO TO CANADA AND DO ANOTHER UNDERGRADUATE DEGREE, AFTER THE ONE YOU HAVE DONE IN NIGERIA? IT WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER IF YOU WERE GOING FOR YOUR MASTERS DEGREE, AFTER AN UNDERGRADUATE DEGREE IN NIGERIA.

Hummn.. Good evening elders in d house... honestly I was scared to ask this question I'm about to ask but I just have to summon courage anyways.

please my husband went for US interview last year August but was denied. we don't know if it's because he has never travelled before or because he mentioned he Will be visiting his sister who went through visiting but stayed back to study and his mum who went but has since come back to Nigeria(she didn't over stay).

Now we have travelled together has a family to south Africa and we want to apply as a family, myself, husband and 20months old son. we don't know how to explain the sister ish to the VO since its already on record and we don't even intend visiting her. we just want to go for 2weeks vacation and come back to our work and business.

A little research in this forum, will show you that no one looks at documents. Even the VO's has repeated it again and again. Get ur Nigerian passport, ur confirmation page and ur payment receipt and March to the US embassy for your interview. Please intending applicants try and do small research na.

Okay thanks, I will wait. How can I go about the invitation letter. The letter was written by the school. I believe they must have sent it to Nigeria Embassy. Just guessing anyway.

I won't recommend that but if you have money, why not. I would recommend going for the interview but mention it in your application form, that you had a fake Indian visa put in there by the agent. That way, if they know already, it will be that you are open and honest - basically throwing yourself at the mercy of the VO. Shey you get? and you would know if you have been banned, because they don't usually tell you. You have nothing to lose bro.

thanks for the objective reply.. I'm thinking of traveling to South Africa to spend a week, so I can fill it in my travel history... Maybe this will move their focus away from this India fake visa issue. Since I am using a new passport..

Seriously naive? wait a minute, someone told you to put in a visa for a place that you have never travelled to before (and without applying to the embassy of that country), and it didn't move your conscience that this is wrong? it would have been better to apply to the Indian embassy and get the visa legitimately, instead of paying 20k for a fraudulent one. Bro, this Americans can ban you for that, please come clean if asked.

I was naive then and the travel agent said I must have a visa on my passport which he collected 20k for.. If I understand you correctly, you are saying I should put it in the form that I have not travelled before. But it's there in my records that I have travelled to india before..
This is so confusing.. Seriously

1. Ask yourself if the MIGHTY UNITED STATES OF AMERICA does not know that you put in, a fake INDIAN VISA in your passport?
2. We can't tell your purpose for your trip, you that is travelling should know, this is not your first time applying.
3. Like the VO's will say, this is not a gambling parlour, no one knows your chances.
4. I would advice you reapply in 2019, just in case you are serving a 5 year ban and you were not told.
5. When next you apply, put in there that you used a fake indian visa in your former passport.
6. If you are asked about the fake indian visa thing, better tell them the truth, dont lie or you will be banned for life, you hear?

Hello guys.. I was denied a US visa in December 2013. On my passport then, was a fake Indian visa and the vo asked me of my purpose of visiting India which I answered, visiting my brother in India..

Now I'm going for my friend's mom's 70th birthday in August)(my friend is a surgeon in d US). And I have a new passport.. Should I still fill in my ds160 form that I've travelled to India before or say the truth.. Im married with 3 kids and have a good job(project manager).

Que 1..should I still put India in my travel history

Que 2..what should I put as my purpose of visiting US.

Que 3.(I have d intention of coming back to Nigeria) how long should I put my visit duration to maximize my chances

Que 4.. What are my chances of getting the visa

I don't think a mistake in your email address is important. However if it is brought up during the interview, explain that is a mistake. All the best. A mistake in your date of birth or in your name or any information on your Nigerian passport is very consequential.
