He will probably put this one in AP, so he won't have a headache looool. OmoBendel24: |
I think travel history just shows you are: - financially buoyant - well travelled - you return home, after each trip Travel history is PROBABLY not used as a criteria to judge the things, that will necessitate one's return to Nigeria. I can be well-travelled and have nothing tying me down to Nigeria, for example. IMHO. OmoBendel24: |
I forgot to add, they would still have your old profile/form on their system. So this one you are going to fill, does not replace the other one. Saylawchar: |
If you can't access the old profile, create or use an existing email address and attach your profile to it, you can do this by calling customer service, check their website for the number. Yes, you will retrieve the old form and make any updates to reflect the current situation you are in. Saylawchar: |
1. If this is your first time of filling the form, please be honest...you may get the visa or you may not get the visa. But what you would have on their records is truthful. 2. Strong ties are defined as the things that will make sure you return back to Nigeria, from the US. - Are you married? - How long have you been married? - Do you have kids (it is not relevant where you have them)? - Are you working? - How long have you been working? - What is your position and how relevant is that position to your organization? - Your finances (this is tied to work and other side-jobs) - NO ONE CARES ABOUT YOUR TRAVEL HISTORY. PEOPLE WITH 'VIRGIN' PASSPORTS HAVE GOTTEN VISAS. 3. The above mentioned in number 2 are determined from the form you filled and the interview that is conducted. Those are just strong ties, there are other aspects to the visa process. I hope this helps? Saylawchar: |
A simple solution to this, is to make the passports, have a 10 year validity. But no someone, somewhere must eat through contract! |
1. I am beginning to wonder if the advocate for "travelling to UK or schengen areas" for family applicants isn't an agent. The VO has said that individuals and families, have been given visa's on so-called 'virgin passports', well if you have money, you can apply for a UK or Schengen visa, if you think that will help and then travel to those countries, but if you get the visa, it will be because of your ties to Nigeria. 2. Again, the grace of God is to empower you to live a godly life (as per Christianity), not to run to a country where their forefathers sacrificed a lot, so that their kids will have a better life. Nigerians stop misrepresenting God's grace. C'mon I wonder if our ancestors had seen the future, if all of them won't have gone into slave ships, just to save their descendant the shame. 3. A visa is a privilege, not a right; the VO has the final say, you may have all the ties but it is the VO that has the final say, and one of them has come to this forum, to say you don't need to 'disvirgin' your passport to get a visa. You can only improve your chances by having strong ties, but even then its 50:50. |
1. C'mon brethren. If your ties to Nigeria is strong, you wont need to spend your hard-earned money on applying for other country visa's. You have read the VO say again and again, people and families who have not stepped outside of Nigeria, have gotten visas! And even if your ties is strong, you may not be given a visa - a visa is a privilege and not a right, always remember that, you have no right to a US visa, you just have a privilege to have one, that's how it works across the whole world. 2. Strong ties are things that will make it necessary for you to return to Nigeria. - Length of time at job - Position at Job - Family (presence or absence of kids) - Finances - Properties - Yes, sometimes, travel history amongst others. NOTE: You could have very strong ties to Nigeria and you could still be denied, A VISA IS NOT A RIGHT BUT A PRIVILEGE. IF IT WAS A RIGHT, EVERYONE WITH STRONG TIES, WILL GET IT, AS THEY MEET THE SPECIFIED REQUIREMENTS. opomulero: |
It makes no difference, if you travel all around the world and there is nothing tying to Nigeria, you may not get the visa. Well unless you have money to spare, you could apply, if you think it would make the difference. pepe4reps: |

1. Why are you making this trip alone? You might be asked, so think of a good, honest reason. 2. Assess your ties in Nigeria as a VO would, don't put into consideration what's in your heart or mind. But what is 'provable' 3. Fill your forms honestly and truthfully. Propertyeighty: |
PEOPLE HAVE GOTTEN VISAS WITHOUT STEPPING FOOT OUTSIDE OF NIGERIA. YOUR STRONG TIES MATTER. Mikehk2: |
1. No one knows your chances. Only God. 2. Assess your ties to Nigeria, think like a VO would - do you consider strong, your ties to Nigeria, if you were a VO? Forget about what's in your heart or mind, what can you present as a strong tie. 3. Fill your forms truthfully and honestly. Saylawchar: |
1. Call the customer care and attach your profile to a new email address. Or else the agent can change you form without your knowledge. 2. Your previous profile and form filed will forever remain in their database, I hope it was truthfully filled, if not come clean when filling a new form. 3. You can fill a new form, but the old form is forever in their database. And if what you have filled is different from the first form, you will be questioned about it. tyman: |
One thing is for sure, A NIGERIAN WILL BUY THIS TV AND POST IT ON INSTAGRAM. |
You are not ready yet. One way to help yourself before an interview is to be confident and knowledgeable, and this is achieved through research. If we give you the answers, you will flop at the interview but when you research, you will come across different interview questions and answers given - you will see success and failure, this will help you greatly, just go to page 1 and read. You will be glad you did. rayplace50: |
Instead of jumping into conclusions, it would have been best you asked what happened. Don't get all your info from nollywood and hearsay. You think you must have done something bad, for people to do bad things to you...you can be a saint and your in-laws will use the death of your husband, to try and make a mess of you. I thank God for my mum's family that were a pillar of support for her, in her trying times. Today we don't need shiii from my dad's family, W.T.F am I going to do with knowing the roots of a wicked family that sought to destroy their own daughter-in-law. revolt: |
ALL IN SUPPORT OF ORGANIZING A WWE WRESTLING MATCH BETWEEN WIKE AND AMEACHI, TO SETTLE THEIR BEEF, ONCE AND FOR ALL. PLEASE LIKE THIS COMMENT. LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL ![]() |
You are talking to someone who was raised by a single mum, who was dumped by her husband's relatives and whom everyone expected to amount to nothing in life. I have cousins, who were raised in a "complete home" and today, you won't know they were raised in a "complete home". I agree it is ideal to grow in a "complete home" but what makes the difference is parental love, guidance and discipline. revolt: |
This one is a beginner. |
Mehn! you will need to meet a nice CBP Officer and be able to explain why you missed the first trip, in addition to the English you will speak, I recommend you take these along with you, documentation is evidence of intent. The purpose of these documents is to show that you are legit. DO NOT CARRY YOUR CV OR CREDENTIALS THAT CAN BE USED TO GET A JOB. Meanwhile if you get deported, it may or may not affect your families chances of getting a visa, but you won't be able to get one until the time has been served. 1. Your payslips 2. Your letter of employment 3. Your letter of promotion 4. Letter of sponsorship for the first training, you didn't go for. 5. Letter of sponsorship for the training you are going for, for 3-4 months 6. Enough cash on you. 7. Bank statement 8. Be honest with the US CBP officer. 9. Company ID Card All the best! aaaaaaand let us know how it went! uforeal: |
Why not. I would recommend YOU only reapply, when YOUR circumstances have changed w.r.t ties to Nigeria. baddest04: |
No need to read further after seeing the title. The poster was not raised by a single mum and has no idea what it entails. |
Where is the humility of Jesus Christ? |
THIS IS NOT TRUE. |
Virgin passports get US Visa, it just depends on your ties to your home country, finish. |
But that has never stopped most Nigerians from lying to get visa. Lying is a sin against God. siina: |
Worship is great and I am all for it. But we always have this tendency to levitate to the things that don't cost us anything. Losing one hour of sleep is not a cost to some people but a sacrifice to others, especially those going through things that only God's presence can solve, I acknowledge that. All I said was after this worship movement, lets move to #TALK2SOMEONEABOUTJESUS and lets start living a Godly life...365 days, 24 hours with no social media platform or celebrity. LOOOL I am being attacked, its all for Jesus folks, anything to bring glory to God. |
I am not fighting anyone oh. I shared my opinion and got attacked for it. I jez turned the other cheek. Perspectives: |
Okay sir/ma. If you took time to read my comment, you will see that I am all for the worship but when you guys are done, lets have #TALK2SOMEONEABOUTJESUS Challenge - 365 days, 24 hours with no social media platform. You know something that actually costs us something, other than losing one hour of sleep singing our favourite worship songs and feeling good! ![]() SlimBrawnie: |
What is electricity? I don't know how it looks like except for the one I get from my generator. Yet I get bills for this electricity I have never seen before, na wa o. ![]() |
