AdeLaNa1: Hey guys... since we arranging Royal Rumbles between characters of the Avatar Universe, i thought we should also take a look at "The Order of the White Lotus" vs "The Order of the Red Lotus"
The Order of the White Lotus; General Iroh
King Bumi
Jeong Jeong (Former Fire Nation Admiral & Fire Bending Master)
Master Pakku (Northern Water Tribe Water Bending Master)
Master Piando (Non bender, Fire Nation Citizen, Bladesmith and Sword Master)
The Order of the Red Lotus; Zaheer
Unalaq (Northern Water Tribe Chief, Dark Avatar)
Ghazan (Earthbender/Lavabender)
Ming Hua (Armless Water Bending Prodigy)
P'Li (Fire Bender/Combustion Bender)
1. General Iroh vs Zaheer
2. Master Piando vs Unalaq(Pre Dark Avatar)
3. King Bumi vs Ghazan
4. Master Pakku vs Ming Hua
5. Jeong Jeong vs P'Li
NB: I put Unalaq(Pre Dark Avatar cos that'd be an unfair fight for Master Piando. The only person who could probably face the Dark Avatar is General Iroh. If the fight will be fought during the sozin's comet then the red lotus are gonna get their ass whooped. |

sexfabregas: noted. I understand you may think I'm being overly sensitive. I used to think that too until he told me he hated me and he hated seeing me. my late mum is more of a Disciplinarian than my dad; in fact I can count how many times my dad has beaten or punished me. yet I love her 100 times more than my dad. and my younger brother I know what to do to him but being that he is my own blood. I always have pity on him. lastly, you know those things that parents say that makes you ask yourself if you're they real child? I hear that 99 times a day so.... and Err my brother doesn't treat me like a slave please what he does is to go and keep saying all sorts of trash about me to my dad. thats the only problem I have with the brat OK?
thanks for your opinion tho. God bless If I were you, I'll remove the 9yr old kid premature premolar tooth with a punch, then draw him closer and make him realize that I can be the most cruel or caring brother, depending on him. As for your Dad, just confront the old man. C'mon you ain't no girl, let him realize he is responsible for your being and tell him with due respect to stop treating you like trash. Lastly, work on yourself, you are an undergraduate so I expect you to be mature. I'm sure there's something you're not doing right that makes your Dad think less of you, work on those flaws and you'll be in for a surprise. |
Education › Re: At What Point Can We Say That One Is Educated? by Karleb(m): 4:44pm On Sep 25, 2015 |
7Alexander: on the spot! apart from the points you have made, i for one thinks that 'conventional' education is overrated in Nigeria, and in the quest for this 'education' people give too much emphasis to paper qualification. I have met people that are SSCE holders, but on my word, you can only know when they tell you, these set of people are as polished, sophisticated as they come. Whereas you can meet 'educated' ones who can barely make or write a complete sentence and timid. Today we have universities in every nook and cranny of the society breeding a pitiable set of 'graduates'. Afterall a graduate is a graduate I am of the opinion that first and foremost one should give acquisition of wisdom utmost attention while also acquiring necessary people skills. Nice points. But I beg to disagree that the conventional education is overrated in this nation. Only a minimal percent of student(mostly in tertiary school) obtain loan to settle their school fees but over there in the west, it's the norm for students to obtain loan to pay school fees which might take them a lifetime to pay. I believe this point alone nolifies the notion that the convention education is overrated in Nigeria. What actually makes education seem overrated over here is that fact that aspiring graduates et jobless graduates fails to think beyond the scope of their degree, they fail to inculcate the entrepreneurial mindset. They'll rather blame GEJ/Sarkaki rather than acquire a skill that'll make them stand out, a skill that'll bring something reasonable to the table even in the midst of unemployment. |

Dramadiddy: My guys dem, I don miss una oh! Well I'm on a long holiday now so I have enough time to share a lot with you guys. This morning we will be treating "substitution by harmonic content".
Now what does this mean?
This simply means : rearranging the notes of a particular chord you want to play, to give it a quite different sound and also give you a phat sound. Now look at this little illustration with a maj13 chord in a 7-3-6 progression on key Db :
7- E Bb//E A D
3- F A//Eb Ab Db
6- G D F//A Bb D F
Now we are laying emphasis on the 7 and 6 chord actually.
The 7 chord is a Cdom13 with notes : C E G Bb D A. Substitution by harmonic content means, rearranging these notes in another way of your choice in which I got E Bb// E A D.
Now the 6 chord is a Bbmaj13 with notes : Bb D F A C G
Which I rearranged to get G D F// A Bb D F.
Someone would think I just played Gmin9 from nowhere haha, it is actually related to Bb by "harmonic content".
Happy weekend guys! Cool! Can you talk about how to play hymns using the blues scale? Cc:pianistsegz200 et al. |
