Business › Re: Nigerian Small Businesses And Poor Pay by Karleb(m): 8:06am On Sep 04, 2015
koredex4love:
I can't believe a youth will go against the OP ,it is very disappointing the way many business owners treat their workers ,I know of a popular fast food in Lagos and a single outlet in ogun state Nigeria whom the owner hails from Ijebu, the owner is so heartless that she pays the workers from on the 10th of the following month to 26th that is when the last batch will collect their hard earn stipend salary, but the people working directly with the child are collecting salary earlier than others and I also know a small bukka that is owned by a young woman and she pays salary latest on the 28-30th of that particular month.
tell me , if the big woman business crumble will you say her staff are wicked?
Many of these cheaters don't even pay taxes that they deduct from their staff stipend salary and any time the staff see an opportunity to steal their money they will be broadcasting.
you can't be telling your salary you are mot making sales when they have access to your cost of production ,over heads and total sales ,they will definitely declare your profit for before you know it.
Many business owners are selfish and cheaters.
What more can I say?

Another thing is the issue of Lording over their employee because most of these guys are Secondary school leavers... These employers would not only pay peanuts but transfer aggression to their employees and belittle them at the slightest provocation because at the end there's nothing the employee can do.

Don't mind him. Maybe the "barber my hair" is grammatical correct but in terms of pronunciation, it's totally off. Even the English don't use the word/phrase, they'll rather say "I want to have my haircut".

londoner:
Op thank you so much. I find it shocking sometimes how Nigerians use words incorrectly or mispronounce words. I don't know if it's because they were not taught the components of the English language especially silent letters. I really cringe when I hear them mispronounce words like plumber, dumb, debt, subtle, womb, listen, comb, ask and many others.

I think they were not taught the feature of silent letters and have continued in error. It would have been better if they could just correct the error once pointed out rather than talking about English not being their mother tongue. This is even though most began speaking and learning English before the age of five.

Even people who are French and Spanish native speakers learn English properly and put Nigerians who have English as their official language as well as speak and write English to shame.
The last part of your post is a lie, or should I say an assumption.

The OP has written well but he should realize that not everyone studied English Education or Major. Besides, some of his claims are debatable.

Why do you need solfas when you can create them yourself, the truth about music is that you can play what you know.

Pick up an hymn you know and play it, you might not get it at first but before you're through with 20 hymns, hymns wouldn't seem like a biggie to you.

thanks alot bro....I've already started playing those scales u listed, the thing is i don't know much bout music theory....i guess my first question should have been 'Simple chord progressions for starters'....I'll be glad as u help. untold thanks in tow.
Since you asked:

1 4 1 5 or D F D S
4 1 5 1 or F D S D
7 3 6 2 5 1 or T M L R S D
6 2 5 1 or L R S D
1 4 5 1 or D F S D
1 4 5 3 6 2 5 1 or D F S M L R S D.
1 5 4 1 or D S F D

That should be enough to get you started.
Music/Radio › Re: A Thread For Keyboardists by Karleb(m): 4:28pm On Aug 12, 2015
Bosville:
Yes....am not sure if tuning is the ryt word. if one hits a particular chord on the piano in order for it to merge with a voice or song what is it called?
For 1 to 7 of a major scale or like they call it; the "DRMFSLT" it's:

LH RH
D D//D M S
R R// R F L
M M//M S T
F F//F L D
S S//S T R
L L//L D M
T T//T R F
D D//DM S

Note: LH & RH = left hand and right hand.

There 12 major scales on the piano and you can read about them at www.pianoscales.org.

As per the second question; it doesn't really have a name it's just a way you as a keyboardist search for the right key. Turning means another thing.

You need to be playing keyboard for a while to master that, I'll give you a YouTube video the next time I come online.

Feel free to ask your questions and sorry for the late reply.

The OP is as confused as his post. 70 per cent of the songs he listed are/were hit and even make/made more money than it's un-remixed version.

Bro, leave matta for Mathias.

Michael Jackson didn't bleach for fun, it was as a result of Vitiligo; a rare skin disease that causes the skin to loose it's pigmentation i.e turning black white.

If you were talking about Plastic surgery, MJ would have been a prime example but in this case, let the legend rest in peace abeg.

I said that basically because she didn't look like a treat to me although I've not seen her in action and her sexyness makes her look more of a model than an actress. I hope she doesn't fall in love with her targets sha.

Chloe is more of an hackivist and can work under pressure than Felicity.

But I give it to Felicity.
