@deepsight, humans are just another species of animals, despite our regulated societies, these bestial attributes still occur. The strong still overwhelm the weak. Homosexuality is a natural and yet strange behaviour, however primitive humans would have considered homosexuality adverse to their interest of stabilizing their population, and healthy individuals would be by rules positively reinforced to adopt heterosexual leanings.

Christianity and Islam both which ought to be extinct, still hold these values.

Dear Jacobscros

First you need to answer this question:
"Why do I want to go to the so-called heaven?"

While answering, a penny will drop and you will suddenly see the answer to this question you ask: "How will I get there?"

I wish you well!

Actually, you are the one blinded by Walt Disney or is it the Arabian Nights? These concepts have always existed before all of what you are looking at. The story of Aladdin is a folk tale different from what I am saying. The proof that the devil exists is within you already or don't you have a conscience? Do you feel well when you do the right thing? Do you feel ill when you do the wrong thing? Who or what made that suggestion to you to do the bad act in the first place? If you did it of totally of your own freewill, why should you feel bad about it at all? These questions and a clear head in analyzing them will help you proof that the devil exists.

By the way, name calling does not prove anything, it only proves that you lack a better argument or have next to no debating skills.
If I kill one from jealousy without justification, its murder. But if i kill someone in a form of self defence or in a state of war, it is considered right. Some religions direct human sacrifices and consider it proper and right. How about that? Our standards of right and wrong are not universal!

When atheists tell me that God is imaginary and therefore does not exist. I laugh it off as a product of their (wise) imaginations. Does it make sense to you to that Nature occurs spontaneously. Any idea that exists proves itself (its existence) ipso facto. That is the law on which thought has been based on since time immemorial
But God did not appear on the scene spontaneously? displaying the arrogance of a Christian

This is not true and those not distracted by Shekarau's eloquence can see , easily , through his facade and lack of substance . I will give two examples . Shekarau says he will do away with the EFCC and ICPC to strenghten the Police Force . Does that make sense to right thinking Nigerians? The police that could not solve the murder of a sitting Minister of justice (Bola Ige) , and actually botched up the crime scene for the foreign investigators that arrived to help , will bring sophisticated Bernard Maddoff type criminals to book Shocked Shocked Shocked
In any case , Shekarau should look around . Not many successful nations has the model he proposes because that model is patently flawed i.e having the Police fight every type of crime is clueless, archaic and discredited . Perhaps Shekarau also believes we should fund the Police more so they can also fight terrorism !!! It is absolutely essential to have specialist agencies , trained specifically for the task at hand , to fight specialist crime !!!! it is as simple as that. Shekarau was just pandering to the audience with populist yet empty rhetoric.

On the Jos crisis , he says he will use the formula that worked in Kano !!!!!! This shows Shekarau's "intelligence" and limitations . How can he solve the problems of Jos with methods used in Kano ? Do both States have exactly the same problems ? Are the causes of rancour the same ? What about the ethnic mix? Is it the same ? Ridiculous suggestions by Shekarau if you ask me !!!!

The sad thing is that Shekarau , if one has high standards, only stood out for his eloquence . His ideas , IMO , are nothing to write about . Ribadu had the best new-age ideas that indicates he has studied the problems and understands modern leadership and the solution synergy required. His aggression may have been distractive and off-putting to some but this is outright fallacy:
You simply disagree with him. He has brought forth his own ideas and which i consider practicable and useful. Declaring martial law in Jos will not solve anything and stifle economic growth, the best id balancing the interests of all the diverse groups both religious and ethnic as he did in Kano. Kano was much worse than Jos. there was once a state within the state and a civil war against entrenched religious stalwarts. But Shekarau brought peace.

The Nigerian Police is weakened and the public has lost confidence in it, creating fragments of security agencies will only worsen and complicate things. There is no big deal if the EFCC is a branch of the police, the police too are supposed to fight corruption. The best thing is to train, equip and convert it to an efficient force, it is the lack of these efforts that make the police the trash they are today.

Ribadu is an accomplice in the only regime! Badly playing Obama. Everyone even Jonathan knows that Nigeria needs to be developed, so shouting 'development' and 'youth' is not impressive. Shekarau is more level headed and will perform in the international arena.

", An arm of the Ministry, World Mission Agency (WMA) provides welfare and other health and humanitarian services to the needy in the society. An annual amount of N100,000,000 (One hundred million naira)or $7,000,000 (Seven million dollars) is administered in scholarships for education up to first degree level to church members through the David Oyedepo Scholarship Scheme and channelled through the Satellite Fellowships where membership is validated. Automatic scholarship is also available to all children members of primary school age. After the bomb blast that rocked the Ikeja Cantonment at the turn of the last decade, the Red Cross announced that the consignment from the Winners Chapel was the largest by a single organization since the Nigerian Civil War. Also, the WMA has moved aggressively into Koma hills in Northern Nigeria where it sunk 47 boreholes in 1997 and built nursery, primary and secondary schools. The Church also provided relief to Liberian citizens during the Liberian Civil War."

@Uyi, try to be more open-minded. C'mon, what concrete explanation do you have to continue your fellowship with Christianity? What's are reasons to abandon other religions of the world?  Is it a justified practice for a man to abandon a healthy degree of self-determination? And is the Bible truly inerrant?

THE BIRTH OF A NATION

CAN A NATION BE BORN IN ONE DAY?

When israel was declared a nation in 1948. It took the world by surprise . Because the name of Israel had been wiped off the map of the world according to prophecy of the bible. They had changed the name of the land to Palestine .for about 2000 years,Israel had ceased to be a nation

Psalms 83:4
4 They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from [being] a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.

Even theologians had given up on israel , but when it happened ,historians couldnt believe their ears. Israel had been scattered all over the earth. Not only that, they were been slaughtered in many nation. Hitler killed millions of them .The name of their land had been changed to Palestine by the ottoman empire, and they brought Arabs to occupy that land. They had no more homeland .there was no way Israel could exist again. But in 1948 , the prophecy came to pass. It was never done in history that a nation who's name had been wiped off resurrects again.

The bible had predicted that God would scatter them if they remain stubborn . They did and he did. By AD 70 . The Romans invaded and destroyed Israel. After that several nations came and did their own destruction. Until the name was removed from world map. After much suffering by many of them in several nations even though some prospered earlier. They began to return to their homeland who's name had been changed to Palestine land .

How did this happen
After the defeat of Hitler's Third Reich the United Nations in November 1947 passed the "Resolution For the Partition of Palestine," granting a portion to the Jews, a portion to the Arabs, and internationalizing Jerusalem. The Arabs rejected the plan. The Jews did not like the plan but accepted it, believing 'half a loaf to be better than none.

Although they may not know it, the nations jointly, by doing so, have set themselves on a collision course with the prophecy of the bible in Joel

Joel 3:1
For, behold, in those days, and in that time, when I shall bring again the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem, 2 I will also gather all nations. . . and will plead with them there for my people and [for] my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land.

Some of these parted land were miraculously recovered from Egypt Jordan Judea and Samaria as well as east Jerusalem containing the Temple Mount. When the arab gathered to fight the small returnees of Israel so that they could finally eliminate them ,The world was watching but couldnt do anything to save israel. Israel only fought to defend themselves and miraculously they did without help. Not only did they survive, miraculously also they recovered some of the parted land from the Arabs . It was then the world moved in for peace and demanded that israel should returned some of the land conquered . But they are yet to have full claim of Jerusalem now. That is the present conflict they face now.

Isaiah 66:8
8 Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? [or] shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.

. . . But the nation was born in one day, . .

Who says the bible is not inspired of God?
Joel's period was before Greek domination over Palestine right? then how do you explain the freedom they had under the Maccabee brothers?
How reliable is the bible? Joshua calling upon the sun to stop! stop and do what?

From what i saw in my old bible, it was not the devil that tempted Eve but a smart snake, the smartest animal in the Garden! (reminds me of tortoise folktales). God eventually punished the snake for it not the devil.
Again why is an omnipotent master struggling with a rival?
