Atheism is the disbelief in the God entity or gods entities, with reason as a guiding lamp. Yet this untenable position held by agnostics that the existence of God is impossible to ascertain, despite the assertions of the religions of this world.
my question is since agnostics reject all the definitions of God given by religions, what tool do they use to reach such a conclusion, despite the acknowledgment that the God is a radically unique entity. Reason defies the existence of God, and is defined by experience. is it faith or reason?

the Catholic Church is a massive wagon of people indulging in self-deception and delusion. praying to dead people in the clouds, in this 21 century is the height of ignorance and stupidity and gullibility. protestants are included.

what kind of insecurity is your God suffering from? since he is an omnimax, why bother testing people? your God created and tolerates evil? was that what you said?

there is hardly a link between Judaism and Christianity, they are all confused deluded people.

is not the question of the sanctity of an individual's beliefs but one of reality. the identity of God must be ascertained before his existence is confirmed. myjoe , you have simply invented gods and crafted lives for them. its all mere speculation.

there is a great deal of truth in their comments. Nigerian govt is exposing its helplessness to the world, that is unable to provide basic social services, employment, development and security or control of anarchist movements.  we deserve to be on that list. that stuupid propaganda minister who does not know that rebranding is a waste of time.good governance is what is worth fighting for and not chopping money.

its hard to understand why krayola is unable to believe the literal interpretation of the bible, in flying white horses, parting of a sea, ascension to heaven and co? while keeping the possibility of the existence of a God, why can't you believe those wild stories.

How did you arrive at yours that he doesn't? That is what you have failed to answer. You have no ground, therefore, to call her deluded. Assume you don't know and proceed from there by yourself - that is the only non-prejudicial way. after your investigation, all you could get was to spin out a god with abilities and functions you desired for it.

rotational presidency is the worst arrangement ever. the leaders are selected based solely on ethnic grounds, skill, knowledge or experience is irrelevant. it simply portrays presidency as an option to loot and plunder, at least have a taste of national cake.

science has served us well, there is a great deal to be learnt. therefore it is imperative to throw off all those shackles and yokes of religion. there are little scientific truths, but what we have learnt so far, do not point that God exists. then why burden ourselves with such a prejudice that affects our objectivity.

@ bolicks, the message from the old testament is fundamental different from that in the NT. they belong to two different religions. in the OT, there was no Jesus or partners with God, neither were there adversaries, because God was almighty and unparalleled.  therefore a creation of God could not contest with him. All good and evil came from him. Satan was an agent and a member of his inner circle and carried out God's instructions.
  while in the NT , the message was heavily influenced by Zoroastrianism and a little extent Greek mythology.  thus the Bible managed to combine to contradictory doctrines together.

religion is built on the weak poles of belief. it said to infallible and coupled with superstition, uses fear and ignorance to captivate its victims. its has generally no basis in science. it is the same in round the world, but in different forms. the muslims believe that heaven is an abode and a reward for its blind followers and it is filled with 72 virgins for eternal sex.
the Christians believe it is that the dead enjoy eternal life while dwelling in the clouds. also, that there is an abundance of gold.
if these stories are examined carefully, each religion's heaven is a perfect world where their view of perfection dwells. thus, religion is a dangerous escapist avenue where the human mind shelters against the cold stare of reality. every man desires eternity and it is hard to imagine an end to life.

all these confusion in the house of God over trinity. trinity was borrowed from pagan religions, thus made Christianity acceptable to people. The Anglican Church, while accepting gays, miraculously found the page in the Bible that gays are permitted in their fold.

Christians believe in Heaven with mansions and gold pavements and street lights, muslims believe that virgins await them in their heaven. you are all trapped in your delusions.

So because people have built houses in the way of development we should let them be because of "Social cost" . .
A 70km drive from the borders of Nigeria (Badagry end) down to Mile 2 could take you 3 hours on a day you are very lucky. On the not so lucky days, those that have driven past can tell you. . I just came down the M1 a few minutes ago from Nottingham to London and an equivalent of the 70km drive in Nigeria took me only 45mins at national speed limit. I could do it 35mins if I drove at 90miles/hr and we are talking about social cost.

How about the social advantage of working in Cotonou and living in Mile 2 and being able to do a round trip in less than 2 hours. .?

How about the economic advantage of cross border trade amongst numerous others that can't be highlighted now?

How environmental advantages of reducing CO2 exhaust from traffic build up over 70km . . ?


The cost of bringing down houses is a small price to pay to pave way for a flurry of advantages most of which will benefit the common man whose front yard was brought down in the first place. Plus I read the LASG gave out financial compensation to the affected.
