Gbola5:Naturally. The book was addressed to the king, so the parts concerning him were painted in flattering colors. If you have the original pdf copy of the book, you'll notice that the king's name (who at the time of final "publishing", was Tommen I) seemed to be scratched and written over; that's cos the book was initially addressed to Robert (who gored himself on a boar), then it was readdressed again to Joffrey who sadly choked on his pigeon-pie before he could receive it. And so it was Tommen the Meek that finally got the book. |
^^ yeye boyI figured it out at "the boys got sloppier and sloppier with their recipes..."; "tinfoil wrapping" was overkilling it. But lemme leave off talk until others read and "dash-dash-dash"... By the way, to the next person coming to read: NO SPOILERS OO!! Just read and keep quiet!! ![]() |
phayvoursky:Female entertainers are the reason someone baked a "vaginal birth" cake?? Really? Smh...As for what I think... Like someone already said, the creativity here is really pushing its limit (no pun intended, lol). I'm not queasy about food, but wifey would be asking for trouble if she orders something like this - in fact I'll be doing the eating while she's doing the explaining. |
... no be small snow white. |
Seun:Seun, which day u begin carry rumor? ![]() |

gj22:You aren't much of a book person, so I dunno... might be really dry for you. Usually we just lock up this |
Gbola5:Mmmm... I dunno, I just feel like dragons are an exception here. But that's just me. Let's wait and see how GRRM/D'&'D feel about that. |
Fixed. |
Gbola5:Hard doesn't even begin to describe it. GRRM's dragons aren't just ordinary creatures; they are magic. If Bran wargs a dragon, then we can look forward to him warging a White Walker as well. |
UjSizzle:That's what he is, not what he was. But this thread is for the show, so let's not get into all that. Suffice it to say that he's as good a warg as Bran, plus he dabbled in a good bit of magic too - an edge Bran doesn't have. So I say again, if it was possible to warg a dragon, the Three-Eyed Crow would've done it already. |
UjSizzle: kay9:I guess the question is, Do you even know who the Three-Eyed Crow was? Bran is strong, gifted and unique in his generation... but he's not the first of his kind. |
I doubt it is possible to warg into a dragon, even for Bran. Unlike regular animals, dragons are creatures of magic. If it were possible, the Three-Eyed Crow should have done it already. |
oluamid:A diversion to you, perhaps. To some of us, it is very important and is being eagerly awaited. Mereen is practically besieged at the moment, and the Battle of Slaver's Bay will determine what will become of Ser Barristan, Tyrion Lannister, Jorah Mormont, Grey Worm, and the rest of them in the city. Daenarys herself isnt even around, so Victarion may have to cool his heels somewhere first. |
DahtzFestjayz:^^ Now this is the real joke! Young man, you should kneel down and flog yourself 24, cos your school fees were wasted! This is o-level geography for pete's sake, abi una never write WAEC?? Please there are SEVEN continents, and the seventh is called Antarctica (that's where you find the penguins); the other six are: Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, South America, and Australia (sometimes refered to as Oceania to distinguish it from the country). |
I was laughing at Aba and Oyo... until I saw Ibadan! ![]() |
luxanne:The episode got its named from that walk, Mother's Mercy. They spent about $200,000 on that walk alone, can't blame them for milking it for all it was worth. |
gj22:Oh, ok. Someone mentioned that already, but I think it was the penultimate episode and not the finale. |
gj22:I think this is just your opinion. In Westeros, royalty and nobility has little to do with physical stature. Tyrion has already served as Hand of the King in lieu of his father, and while he was there he successfully kept both the King AND the Queen Mother in line, and made his man, Bronn, captain of the Gold Cloaks; all that was left to Jeoffery and Cersei was the King's Guard. And to that impressive CV, also add sending Myrcella to Dorne (clipping Cersei's wings and appeasing the Dornish in one stroke!), strengthening the city's defences, rallying the patch-work force left to him and successfully holding King's Landing against Stannis Baratheon until aid arrived from Highgarden. Oh, and did I forget, he even ORDERED a king to the battlefield! Until Tywin Lannister made his triumphant entry back to the city, Tyrion was effectively ruling - and he didn't need anyone's respect to do it. |
gj22:A haircut? He's very dead because he had a HAIRCUT?? Dude, u funny o. ![]() |
gj22:Bran/Hodor and the Reeds vs. the wights? Sorry, that doesn't count as a "battle" IMO. I'm talking in terms of opposing armies. |
Seun:Quite instructive. |
LeSulk:I have no problem with Jon Snow being dead, just as soon as it is confirmed, a la Ser Barristan. |
LeSulk:^^ ![]() LeSulk:I'd have thought the "Is Jon Snow Dead" scene/question the biggest cliffhanger of the whole show. |
LadyBoss1:"To rule or something"?? I think you need to re-watch Season 1 penultimate episode; skip right over to what happened after Khal Drogo fell from his horse... and please avoid that last part, the events at the Sept of Baelor. |
Well... Who else enjoyed those two kids slugging at each other? ![]() |
Something just occurred to me... Isn't it funny that the most epic battle in the show is one that NEVER even happened in the books? Or is it that that battle will still happen in the books? And if so, is it just me or isn't that a carefully crafted message to us concerning a certain beloved character? ![]() |
I was looking around online, and I saw this: There are valid arguments that Jon is not coming back. The fact that HE GOT STABBED MULTIPLE TIMES IN PLACES YOU DO NOT WANT TO BE STABBED MULTIPLE TIMES is a big one, for instance. But to paraphrase Lucille Bluth, I don’t understand the argument, and I won’t respond to it. I choose to apply the Iron Islands philosophy to the Jon Snow situation: “What is dead may never die, but rises again, harder and stronger.” Let’s hope those Greyjoys are right for once.Hmm. ![]() Source: http://www.mtv.com/news/2184712/game-of-thrones-jon-snow-dead But mind spoilers... although, I dunno, spoilers don finish na. |
kazzonline:Oh yeah, that too. |
luxanne:I believe besides the one at Hardholme, the only other battle shown in the show was the Battle of Blackwater. |
ApexTitan: ![]() Imagine Seun as the big-boned septa, wielding the "doctor do-good" and calmly but steadfastly saying, "Confess!" ![]() |
