^^^ Possibly, but I don't think it will be for Jon; the direwolf will be sacrificed for that. |
I just remembered something... Who else saw that look on Dany's face just before Drogon arrived? The mumu girl actually held Missandei's hand in preparation of dying... Lol. |
UjSizzle:Reek that rhymes with freak, gleefully relieved of his 6-inch trick, hello? Robb Stark, First of his name, pregnant wife butchered before his eyes, and then he butchered before his mother's eyes while she begged and begged for his life... Lord Eddard Stark, the beheading that broke our hearts - back when we had hearts, anyway - surely you remember him? Its Game of Thrones; let's leave sentiments for the kindergarten. |
gj22:Oh yeah, ^^^ this is the dude that once proclaimed Stannis as the rightful king. Eyaa... ![]() |
ClaytonSuggs:Its an unwritten law in Westeros that female heirs never sit the Iron Throne. It was attempted once and the result was that "Dance of Dragons" that poor Shireen was reading before her sad demise - a civil war between a Targaryen princess and queen. It has never been tried again ever since. |
Mmm.... What can I say? I certainly didn't see that one coming. I'll say this for GoT though, this show continuously hits a 10/10 on shock value. My usual take sha: - When the opening credits rolled by and I didn't see "Lena Headey", I knew there'd be no Cersei this week. - I had high hopes for the Dorne scenes; I won't say I was disappointed, but the feeling is pretty close. And since when do commoners strike royalty and get away with it all limbs intact? - Jon Snow almost stranded outside the Wall - now that I did see coming! I can almost smell the mutiny in the air; the looks they giving Jon, this could be worse than what happened to the previous Commander. I'm betting that little Olly is the one going to give it to Snow.- What the heck is wrong with A Girl? This One won't do the simply merciful task given to her, wandering off with a slightly zombiefied look on her face... - Ahha... I vaguely remember some dude posting here that he thinks Stannis is the rightful king; I wonder what he thinks now. Goodbye, Shireen, sniff-sniff. - Ser Jorah a.k.a Oga Friendzone finally proves his worth. Good for him. And while we're at it, who else thinks Daario is becoming really annoying? Meanwhile poor Hizah Loraq (I can never get that dude's name right) gets enough holes in his chest to float a mini armada. And our good lil Imp to the rescue! And Dany finally flies Drogon Airways...which sadly seems to have only one seat. Ok, that's that. Now, I shall sit back and watch the internet curse Stannis Baratheon to seven hells and tear its hair out in misery. ![]() |
alaricsaltzman:One thing I've learnt about this series is that they try to mix in a bit of true human nature. And the truth is people ALWAYS resist change. Now add the lifelong fear/hate they've always felt for wildings.... Mmm, I dunno ![]() Looking forward to ep9 sha. |
alaricsaltzman:This isn't the first the Crows have heard of WW. Remember in season 1 the then Lord Commander was enlisting Tyrion's help, he referred to what they were fighting as "wildlings and...some other things", and Tyrion laughed it off as "snarks and grumpkings". Later on, two of their own brothers turned in wights and tried to kill the Lord Commander. Much later (season 2/3?) they fought wights and lost a huge number of their forces (were Joer Mormont saved Sam after he killed the WW), and were forced to trek back to Craster's keep... YET it is still hard for them to see reason in Jon Snow's decision |
hahn:Op, kindly provide the answer to this very crucial question. |
LeonStark:Oh, yeah. Totally forgot him. Guess that's what happens when a series installment is 5yrs late. |
LeonStark:Guy, not so loud... Honestly though, I wasn't really surprised; you do have a big mouth. Nice to see you have a backup alias though. Who's Marwyn? |
I've always wondered at how GrrM seemingly did away with the Blackfyres... And now I've started thinking about Ben Plumm... That dude has been hanging around Dany's court for quite a while. And he's supposed to have some distant Targaryen ancestor (or two); canon sources suspect his Targaryen ancestry from Aegon IV. But me thinks tracing his lineage that far should really dilute his "blood of old Valyria" heritage, yet the dragons still kinda like him. I won't be surprised if it turns out he's direct descendant of the Blackfyres, albeit from a female line. And he is also dark (brown) skinned.... Are you sure this guy isn't the "dark flame"? It'll be a fine lovely kettle of fish if he suddenly pulls out the valyrian steel Blackfyre in WoW! ![]() |
LeonStark:Cos almost everything theory out there has been dissected and analyzed to pieces, nothing new to munch on. Meanwhile, Book 6 is 6 years (and counting) behind schedule. Truely, its the TV show keeping the interest alive now. |
moski5:The kraken and dark flame should be Victarion and that babalawo fella he picked up at sea. Lion is obviously Tyrion; Griffin would appear to be Jon Connington, but i wonder... GrrM rarely gives straightforward clues, it might be someone (or something) else. The sun's son (Quentyn) is already dead. And the mummer's dragon? Ten silver stags says its Young Griff a.k.a Aegon. And if Tyrion is truely the lion, then the tin-foil theory of him being Aerys' get goes up in flames. |
ApexTitan: ![]() I know exactly how you feel. Just accept the guy like one of those big fat pimples in the middle of the face you just gotta live with. |
mmm.
|
suyamasta:^^ I really find it amazing that some GoT viewers don't know this yet. |
Sveen:...And you, sir, are almost as eloquent as Tyrion himself. |
Gbola5:Well, you weren't granted the title of "grandmaester" for nothing. ![]() |
gj22:Don't worry, there's nothing to spoil anymore; as far as events at the Wall AND within Westeros is concerned, the show has overtaken the books. So, yeah... bring out your tambourine and sing Kumbaya at Gbola5. |
Bawss1: ![]() |
Gbola5:You forgot Dawn, of House Dayne, last wielded by Ser Arthur Dayne, the Sword of the Morning. But for the average show viewer, here are the known Valyrian swords in the show: - Jon Snow's bastard sword, Longclaw. - Ned Stark's greatsword, Ice. After his death, Ice was melted down on Tywin Lannister's orders and from it came: - (a) Jaime Lannister's longsword, Oathkeeper, given to Brienne. - and (b) Jeoffrey Lannister's longsword, Widow Wail. Haven't seen it since the SOB choked on his pigeon pie. |
Okay-dokay.... My take on episode 8: - Tyrion Lannister is GOOD! Damn, that guy is good... and Ser Jorah is a sucker, a walking-corpse of a sucker. Poor guy. - Cersei is certainly getting her just desserts. This face is the last thing you'll see before - WHACK!!! ![]() - Isn't Sansa just lovely? Even when she dey vex sef... Mr. Flayer dey chop better ting sha. See how she towers above Reek-that-rhymes-with-Meek. - I have no comments for A-Girl-Named-Lana... till next episode. - Next time someone says "Talk is cheap", just refer him to Tormund Giantsbane. ![]()
|
Forwetinnah:They totally went shopping! |
I've started noticing things... Notice the smirk on A-Girl-Named-Lana's face as she walked away with the "gift" from Jaqen H'gar? This girl is getting baaaaaaadd! ![]() And how tall is Sansa?? Re-watching that scene with Reek... mehn, that girl is TALL. |
Seun: Can you imagine? Ok, oga Seun has finally watched episode 8 and now he's ready to spoil it for the remaining "slow dog" members. Ahh, drama drama drama! ![]() |
UjSizzle:Torrent sites are ALWAYS ahead. |
All hail Jon Snow!!!! I'm not sure but I think one of those wildling leaders called him "King Crow". Definitely rewatching this episode as soon as I'm home... That last "world war z" scene was epic. ![]() |
