abduleez1: Lol Kaycee7, I thought I was the only one addicted to lists...
Anywhere I see a book I just can't shake the compulsion to scribble something. 😂 I rarely do it these days tho as the modern day smartphone has taken over our lives and physical books becomes farther from me. I still keep a couple digital notebooks tho. 😉 The notes app is always one of the most important apps on any phone I use. Can't think of much I don't have a list for. Even media databases like IMDb, Goodreads and MAL still no stop me from listing out some stuff. |

abduleez1: Sorry for replying late cos spambot has been hounding my yansh for the past two days. Back to back ban on 3 different accounts.
FergieRaww, don't know if they're still relevant to you cos it's been long I updated this list (like two years ago) I don even forget the book in particular sef. I now do my TV curation on an android app. Easier and saves me from catarrh when dust accumulates on the books. I spy a fellow list addict Mehn, seeing Da Vinci's Demons just took me back to younger days and simpler times 😌 |

Mehn the Western world is something else. I hope this nonsense doesn't enter Nigeria or even Africa at large You're one of the poorest countries, your inflation rates are rising, your democratic process is under attack and human & civil rights are consistently trampled on. It'll be a long time before you have to actually worry about trans issues. |

Weekend Movie
- Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea (2008)
Getting back to my Ghibli watch fest with Miyazaki's take on The Little Mermaid.
During a forbidden excursion to see the surface world, a goldfish princess encounters a human boy named Sosuke, who gives her the name Ponyo. Ponyo longs to become human, and as her friendship with Sosuke grows, she becomes more humanlike. Ponyo's father brings her back to their ocean kingdom, but so strong is Ponyo's wish to live on the surface that she breaks free, and in the process, spills a collection of magical elixirs that endanger Sosuke's village.

oyaskii: "Spiderman-Man: Across the Spider-Verse" 2023
This might be the best sequel in the CBM sub-genre...No, Scratch that...The best Sequel across all genre verses!"
When i saw GOTG Vol 3 last month, i thought i couldn't find another as good as it was in a while, nay in less than a month. This completely blew me away and without doubt one of the best movie experiences ever. The euphoria of just seeing this beauty was the best high ever, so lucid, so trippy, so so Good, even Walter White can't cook a high this good!
Into the Spider-Verse (2019) set a very high standard back then, and some animations after then like "Mitchell and the Machines" tried to copy the template albeit with less perfection, this took all the good things that made the first part good, added some spice and made it even better.
Visually and Colorfully stunning, made for a truly immersive journey, it literally felt like one was right inside the comic book, page by page, going through it, all in real time. The story was the recent "multi-versal trope" that CBM have been flirting a little bit too much these days but this was so on brand and good. The writing was of the finest quality, The characters were much more than the first part, but were well paid off with brilliant arcs. They also fiddled brilliantly with little easters eggs that has become part of the Spider Man brand across all media, including the "3 Spiderman pointing at each other meme". Brilliant brilliant stuff.
The OST was okay, but the predecessor set such a huge standard in that department and this couldn't beat it. I mean "Sunflower" is basically a GOAT OST. One of the very very best in cinema music history.
Probably the only snag is that, it ended on a nasty nasty Cliff Hanger, that will continue in "Spiderman: Beyond the Spider-Verse" that painfully releases next year, I mean left to me i would have wanted it to release next Friday 😩😩. The thought that one of this goodness still exist beyond is a good thought to have whilst we wait.
The Tinubu economy looks like it's gonna be a real pain in the ass 😩, if not i would have loved to see this like 3 times more, it was really that good..an easy easy A+ 💯👍. Can't wait to eat this cooking

Although, TLM ain't doing well in Asia, but it's been really dominant in Europe and North America. Indy 5 dey for them sha. Make them use that one hold body, create small content. But this TLM go really pain them. They were hoping to cash out wella from bashing it. That negative news about the tracking numbers for The Flash's opening weekend dey gimme small concern sha. |

And it's doing well at the box office too. The anti-woke crowd about to change their tune and start talking about "how it's not too woke" or "the wokeness is not being forced down your throat".
The game remains the same 😂🤣😂

ShaqFu: the person did the right thing, in today's world, that can cause you a whole lot of pain and heartache. And it can still bring about a whole lot of joy. There's really no manual to it. It's just best to do things by your personal principles, having made peace with the possible outcomes. |

Dungeons & Dragons: Honour Among Thieves 7.5/10
Perhaps, I've been starved for a good fantasy show because this movie didn't really do anything special in the fantasy genre but I enjoyed it like it was something new and fresh.
They lined up a decent cast who played mostly to type. Charismatic Chris Pine in a fantasy setting, badass Michelle Rodriguez in a fantasy setting, dorky Justice Smith in a fantasy setting, Regé-Jean Page just being cool in a fantasy setting and smooth talking Hugh Grant in a fantasy setting. The visuals, scenery and set designs are a treat for the eyes. The action scenes are very entertaining.
There's not much of any world building here and the plot is pretty simple and straightforward. Like I said in the beginning, it doesn't really do anything new or different. But it's definitely a very entertaining 2 hours.

ValeeLove: there's difference between face paint and makeup. The first guys wear it out of their own choices for personal reasons, while the other is worn due to an instruction from above and for beautification purposes. Also the first guys don't NEED it while the second do (at least in their mind). Things like these are why women's wrestling still looks phony. And I respect ladies that don't wear it.
