Nothing makes a story more entertaining than an entertaining supporting cast.

Ukegawa is best wingman, btw.

abduleez1:
Snyder is a very good visual artist but when it comes to writing, nah bro, man ain't it.

Him fall hands gon.... Just when I was starting to think I probably was too critical with his DCEU storytelling. Man somehow begins to prove me right. 🤯 It now seems WB execs was kinda right when they refused to give him reins over DC and micro managed him.

I just dey pray for Rebel Moon. It's his last chance to prove he's not just a visual artist masquerading as a director.

abduleez1:
Japan and Korea just started to say hi.

E no go reach $1.5b sha. Na me tell you

abduleez1:
I don dey forget some names now sef...😭😭

Yea, Nikkaido seems to be amongst the people able to use magic dust abi na magicians dem dey call themselves. 🤔 Obviously her identity is being hidden. Her story smells like that of a princess or heir to the kingdom sha.
And what of that Kung Fu female with big boobs that her name starts with "N" iirc. 😁😁 Ooh now that I think more of the show I remember that Dumbo that hit her head on something and started behaving retarded. 😂😂

I hope studio Mappa looks at it with fondness. The article said the studio had so much workload and needed to clear them this season as well as Hell's Paradise. After HP and AOT final season work might continue on it. I just never know.
That show was one of the first shows in 2020 that reintroduced me back to anime genre and the Seinen space. Made me love dark and mature content alongside Jujutsu Kaisen.

Noi (not to be confused with Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala) was one of the highlights of Dorohedoro. Had folks thirsting like they were hiking the Sahara.

Nikaido is most definitely a sorcerer that's hiding out in The Hole. The reason behind that is what we're eventually looking to find out.

Kishimoto needs to call an external auditor cos ain't no way Bleach making more money than Naruto.

abduleez1:
Kaycee7 you've officially been handed the letter L.... 😂😂😭

They should thank me. I was the one that motivated them to cross $500m.

Summertime Rendering....... 9.7/10

This is a GOATED anime!! Premium tier sci fi fantasy with a mix of action and thriller. A project I'm sure Christopher Nolan would be proud of.

Started off slowly before gaining momentum and never let go during the 4th — 8th episodes. It's a time travelling masterpiece and one of the best pieces of time travel and multiversity.
The action was great, the storytelling was top notch, the intrigue and cliffhangers at each episodes keeps you on the edge of your sit.
It's a mystery thriller wrapped in sci-fi fantasy action garb to provide you top tier entertainment.

A top tier brain stimulating show.

Not having a perfect score of 10/10 was mainly cos of the extra episode at the end. It left you with a feeling of something's not right or things seem too perfect you fear shït might still happen. I feel the finale episode wasn't needed bu

And kai, that Ryunosuke "Hizuru" titties na something else bruh... 🥵

With the villains outsmarting the heroes at almost every turn, the stakes had me on the edge of my seat.
Hizuru's double barrel shotguns were definitely weapons of mass seduction, ahem, destruction, I mean.

abduleez1:
Lol, Kaycee7 just dey collect am nonstop... 😁😁

Japan just join this Friday. Up next is Korea. 😉
The fire billion dollar film of the year.

Universal has somehow eclipsed Disney in the animation business. Sadly, scenarios like these is what will definitely push Disney more to double down on their live action remake and possibly increase sequels to previous successful movies.

When will my suffering end? 😭😭

abduleez1:
If I no enjoy this heavenly delusions Una go collect oo. I need something to match the weirdness and similarity of Jigokuraku but unavailability of bingeable episodes dey frustrate person.

If you no enjoy am, I go refund you the data wey you use download am. Heavenly Delusion is one of the best anime airing right now.

Maaann. His CGI was cringe and dodgy af!. Looked like the VFX artist had 1 day to complete the job with guns pointed to thier temple.

Even more cringe was the humor they were going for with his character. And that "moment of self-acceptance" just had me rolling my eyes.

armadeo:
Ant man quantamania.

Very underwhelming to be Frank.

But I liked Darren the big head little body guy. He looked funny and ridiculous and made me laugh.

Like all the other ant man movies completely forgettable. 3 + 1.5 /10. ( the 1.5 is for MODOK)

I actually felt Darren was the worst thing about the movie and his presence reduced its quality.

CoolUsername:
God bless boomers and the black community for keeping the DBZ fandom alive.

Mr Popo is peak black representation after all

Meksbig:
Heavenly delusion and Hell's paradise. Makes me wonder what plants are growing in our own version of heaven.

Funny how both shows air on Saturday and involve weird, interesting characters in weird, interesting settings.

Omo! Clear road for 2023. The year cinema returned

The Dictator (2012)..... 9.5/10

Now this is what you call a premium satirical piece that delivers its intent without pulling punches. A political piece about dictatorship in fictional Wadiya republic in North Africa.

Modelled after Libyan dictator Gaddafi and behavioural mixture with Kim Jong Il, the Former North Korean dictator as well as known traits synonymous to dictatorships worldwide.

The film focuses on Aladeen, a brutal dictator sworn to fight against democracy, he travels to New York to address the United Nations Security Council. However, his plans go south when a hitman hired by his uncle, Tamir, kidnaps him.

This movie had me in stitches from the start to finish. It's hilarious to the core I was howling throughout the movie. Too many numerous hilarious and ridiculous scenes in this movie.

While it's very funny, it does have several reasonable topics or sociopolitical ideologies it touched upon. It just took real life scenarios and juiced it with an epic dose of Dark Comedy.
Of course that's why it's a SATIRE.

Sacha Baron Cohen is a mad man... 😂 The entire cast delivered and there was hardly any underperforming actor.

It's kinda funny how it has low Rotten tomatoes and IMDb ratings. This is the kinda movie critics are gonna be pissed about cos it basically spits facts. While it's making a mockery of dictators found mostly in other regions of the world it's subtly also throwing shades at capitalist libertarian Western World. 😭

It's a must watch if you're a fan of Sacha, Dark Comedies or Political Satire. 😉😃

This review is very aladeen.

GloriousGbola:
once again with feeling for my mans kaycee7

They are taking it personal at this point.

"Oh you don't think we can make $500m? Watch us do it twice"

abduleez1:
The way Ana De Armas filmography has been going downhill ehn since No Time To Die is alarming. And she's been prolific. 😐

People no go see this one, but na Margot Robbie body dem chook eyes put.

abduleez1:
I see....
These past 3 weeks I've watching more anime than I consume on a normal day. My last 5 TV shows have been anime including shows I'm currently watching now. I added "86" alongside Summertime Rendering even tho I never watch am finish.

I wan clear both shows first make I get space to download HBO's double duo — "Barry" and "Succession".

You really going through the good stuff. 86 is another really good show.

Don't even know when I'm going to get on Barry. Still trying through Doom Patrol and Carnival Row S2 and now Secret Invasion dey come.

abduleez1:
Seems we're mostly watching the same anime....

I watch a lot of seasonal anime sha so my list tends to have most other people's anime on it.

Wish I could have an extra free hour on weekends cos I'd really like to watch Mrs Davis. Looks and reads like something I'd enjoy the shit out of.

Synopsis:
After being ousted from her convent, Sister Simone vows to destroy the one responsible: a powerful artificial intelligence known as Mrs. Davis. To exact her revenge, Simone makes a deal with the algorithm and is thrust into a dangerous world of secret societies, religious conspiracies and age-old legends as she searches for the whereabouts of the most clichéd and overused MacGuffin -- the Holy Grail. To complete the ridiculous and farfetched task, Simone teams up with her rebellious ex-boyfriend, Wiley, who is now the leader of an underground resistance movement dedicated to stopping Mrs. Davis. Together they face a variety of mysterious and powerful forces as they search for the Grail, the one thing capable of destroying the algorithm once and for all. As they grow closer to completing their quest, Simone must confront her past, prove the strength of her faith and uncover long-hidden secrets as she fights to liberate a society that may not want to be freed

abduleez1:

Evelyn Salt vs Agent Jinx. I'm interested

Classickj:
I need action and mystery genre

Which ones have you watched and liked?

Cocao:
I need recommendations for episode-by-episode series where each episode is about a different story (although there can be general broad storyline). I don’t want to be addicted to any series. I just finished watching NCIS and that’s the kind of pace I like. Please drop your recommendations. Thank you!

Delve into the NCIS franchise for starters, with NCIS: Los Angeles and NCIS: New Orleans, if you haven't seen those yet.
Then check out:
- Hawaii Five-0
- Magnum P.I (2018)
- Macgyver (2016)
- The Blacklist
- FBI

These are all crime, detective shows like NCIS. Lemme know if you want any other genres.

Euphoria212:
Wow I'm glad to have found this thread

Welcome, comrade. What shows are you watching currently?
