I just joined my mum and Dad last year in Canada from Nigeria, and I have not had peace since I joined my Dad. I am 21 years old, and I

am living with my Dad for the first time since I was born, and he is not whom a child would crave for as a father. I have been abused by this

man several times. Three weeks after I arrived Canada, this man stripped himself naked and cursed me. He is always saying the same thing

every time:How much he spent to send me to private school in Nigeria, how he got immigration papers for my mum. He would abuse my

mum right he front of me, abuse me right in front of my mum, slapped my mum in my presence. He is turning 50 very soon, and he can

hardly boast on having any property in Overseas, after Leaving the shores of Nigeria for almost 3 decades. He doesn't talk to friend or family

I proved him wrong by gaining admission into the university less than 1 year I arrived. To cut the Long story short, He slapped me yesterday

over nothing. I had to call him 'a cursed person'. Now, I am being made to apologize after saying such. I want to avoid trouble with this man,

as I don't want a bad record on my name, and I want to be successful and avoid ending up like him. I also wanna avoid being cursed by him.

The bible that says children, honor your father and mother also says parent, do not provoke Your children. Please I need help, I don't want

him to ruin my future by cursing me.

Canadian high commission in Ghana issues permanent resident visa, also known as `landed` to Nigerians,Ghanians,Togolese.. etc that wants to relocate to Canada. The one in Naija is a Consulate, and issues all type of visas except `landed`visa.

As a matter of fact, the canadian high commision in Nigeria don't issue out a permanent residence visa, which is simply a proof that such does not exist.. If you need that , Go to Accra, that is where you get a permanent resisdence visa after thorougly scrutinizing applicants, Dont know much about Australia.Do they even have a high comission in Nigeria?

But let me make this clear, once you have God on your side, I repeat! once u serve the almighty God, you will definitely know that your problems, challenges, difficulties will be over one day and it will only be a story to tell to others. Nobody even made mention of canada,It is very peaceful here in canada once you are a legal immigrant.. Fortunately for me, my parents have been in canada for 8-10years, so i came in via permanent residence visa.. My parent had set the floor for me, so i have things goin smooth and easy for me ova here. I don't work anyway cos am a bit young,but they beg my mum to work for more hours.. Can u just imagine? She works wif the govt anyway! My dad works veri hard cos he bliv Nigeria is the best place for him to establish himself and enjoy the fruit of his labor... When he tells me his horrible experience in the u.k, i always felt that pain for him rili.. He was sent home 6 times, his closest friend ova in the u.k who had immigration papers , absconded with his savings that he had gathered ova the years.. Roughly 45000 pounds(big money as at 1996).. He couldn't fight or take him to court since he was not a legal immigrant then, so he made up his mind to migrate to canada, where tinz are nw workin for him.. Above all, he has his landed document(immigration papers).. Nothin bothers him anymore, and all he plans now is to come home and establish himself.. So back to the question, it is rosy depending on where you reside.. Life is not easy in the u.k!! Canada is quite peaceful and veri comfortable to stay 1CE U ARE A LEGAL IMMIGRANT AND U AV ALL THE TOOLS B4 LEAVIN HOME... Will be back to explain the tools needed..

wel, i av my own experience to share with u guys as wel.... I left toronto(canada) via klm airline, with vital documents and 5000 canadian dollar in my wallet all packed in my school bag, coming home to spend the summer break with my lovely parents and friends who were all eager to see me... So we had a stop over at osaka int'l airport , Amsterdam.. From there we were supposed to connect to my mother's land, but our flight was delayed for 2 hours... So we had no choice than to hang around .. So, i met this pretty lady who introduced herself as belinda, she was coming all the way from new york, so we started chatting... Mehn! It was fun, she was just natural the way she spoke, her look ,so i was moved.. In fact, the way we were talking was like we new each other somewhere, somehow, before.... So after about an hour of conversing , I excused myself to use the toilet with my bag in her care, since i believed we were going home together, so it wasnt hard for me to hand over my bag to her.. I came back and she handed it back over to me... So we checked in for our next flight.. My seat was far away from linda's seat, so there was no waty we could continue chatting.. I was so bored throughout the following 6 hours... We arrived safely and you know now, was so excited to meet my parents... I checked out and saw belinda running to meet her mum... I didnt want to let go off her that way, so i walked up to her and collected her cell phone no, both that of U.S and Nigeria and left her with her mum, while i left with my family.. When i got home, i unpacked my luggage and gave out the items i bought... Everybody was happy to see me.. A very happy day later turnd out to be a sad and an unforgetable one indeed, was when i checked my wallet and my 5000 dollar was nowhere to be found, it looked like film trick... I began to ask everbody at home and nobody claimed to have taken it.. My dad and I ran back to the airport, requested for emergency search... We were dere for the next 2 hours when i decided to call belinda to ask her if she saw my wallet... The next thing i heard is 'the number you are trying to call does not exist' ... Frnds! Til today, cant find my 5000 dollar and cannot reach belinda. My holiday turned out 2 be a rili sad one..I had to cut my break from a month down to 2 weeks. Tank God for my dad..Was it my fault to entrust my bag wit belinda?
