The kwara state Deputy Governor and Chairman of the Kwara State Technical Committee Kayode Alabi and his wife, Mrs Abieyuwa Alabi, has tested positive to covid -19.
The couple underwent COVID-19 test after they showed slight symptoms of the virus.
A statement by the chief press secretary to the state governor abdulrahman abdulrazak, rafiu ajakaiye confirned this to journalists in ilorin .
The second couple are said to be stable and in high spirit, and are now undergoing standard management protocols supervised by the government’s medical team.
Immediate contact tracing and tests, among other safety protocols, are being done for persons who have met with the couple in the past few days.
The government wishes the second couple and all others quick recovery.

Bearing in mind that her comments might not go down well with the community, the 'Duduke' crooner has shown remorse and has written to the group to pardon her manners.
During her show, Simi said that homosexuality is not natural and that the LGBT community keep saying that they were born that way, however, there hasn't been any scientific proof to that effect.
In the lengthy letter which she addressed to the LGBT group, the singer acknowledges that she carelessly and casually addressed an issue that is a matter of life and death for those involve in the act, adding that she's sorry to have hurt them.
