Politics › Re: Abia Airport Controversy: Otti Seeks N10bn Refund, Not Ikpeazu's Jailing (video) by Kelklein(m): 2:01pm On May 11, 2024
Former Governor Ikpeazu should be given a Guiness World record for poor governance. Man took misgovernance to a scary level.. and he has no apology about it..

He once defended on a national TV giving women who delivered newly N500. He said most of them didn't have transport fare hence should be grateful for the N500. What a man!!
Politics › Re: Yahaya Bello: ‘A Coward Thinks He Can Run, Hide’ — EFCC Makes Cryptic Post by Kelklein(m):
EFCC 2 Yahaya Bello 1
Correct score after 90 minutes - I'm predicting 3 - 3.. Yahaya go win by Penalties.

This is Nigeria. Nigerian Judiciary go use VAR..

They shouldn't take this as an indictment rather as a challenge to do justice.. Corrupt polithiefcians are doing irreparable damages to this country.. their activities contribute to the problem the fx is going through rn.. the Judiciary shouldn't be seen as enabling them more.

Politics › Re: It Is A Shame That A Country Of Over 200m Spend So Much Importing Food–Alex Otti by Kelklein(m): 10:18pm On May 10, 2024
Three things we shouldn't be importing if we have a responsible government:

1. Food

2. Cars

3. Clothes

A government that wants to serve the people and not self, would make clear-cut deliberate policies to tackle this over, say, a specified period and it can be done in phases.

For food, sincere investment in food production and food value chain development..

For cars, bring in Assembly Plants for major car manufacturers in the world.

For clothes, investment in Textile firms and cotton production..

Understandably, they may not be as straightforward as I put up there but a serious government would out together a team and think.. put all the hundreds of research centres in the country to good use instead of them just doing budget every year.

The people know when a government sincerely means well.. they would definitely buy-in if they see sincerity in government..

But a government that choose instead to enrich family, associates and cronies won't get a buy-in of Nigerians and won't be able to create wealth for the masses.

Education › Re: Mismanagement And Corruption Plague At A Research Centre In Nsukka by Kelklein(m): 8:43pm On May 10, 2024
All government-run research centres in Nigeria are cesspool of country. They all just exist to be making budgets every year.. they run in hundreds and none has been able to substantially change the fortune of the country in terms of industrial development and generation of employments.. none!
Car Talk › Re: Will 99% Of Nigerians Ever Ride A Brand New Vehicle Ever Again? by Kelklein(m):
The way forward is Car Assembly Plants like we had during the time of PAN in the 70s, 80s and early 90's.. when average midlevel civil servant could afford a new Peugeot 405..

But in today Nigeria.. a director's annual salary stands at around 3 - 7 million.. so how does same director afford that first Toyota on that list at 100m+, he steals.. you can see the upside down country we live today.

The minister of trade said some days ago that Nigeria would soon start production which is clearly a pipe dream.. the smart thing a government can do is to get these major manufacturers of cars used predominately in Nigeria to establish Assembly Plants.. these would automatically save us fx and create lots of employment..

A country of close to 250million people can't continue this way without a good automotive policy.. getting Customs to charge Nigerians 35% import duty on imported cars is not a policy..
Politics › Re: Naira Reverses Gains, Becomes World’s Worst Performing Currency Today by Kelklein(m): 7:12pm On May 10, 2024
The people in government think that they can sit back and do nothing.. as a matter of fact, not do nothing, continue stealing the country's resources at the expense of the poor masses.. then somehow by some miracle, Naira would appreciate..

No it doesn't work that way, you can't have your cake and eat it too

Politics › Re: All Eyes On Yahaya Bello Today, To Appear In Court Or Be Forcefully Arrested by Kelklein(m): 10:51pm On May 09, 2024
The former governor just believes that everybody in Nigeria has a price no matter who and that philosophy is working for him..

He can bribe with any amount unimaginable..

The whole nation saw what they did with INEC.. do you know much it cost to bribe the entire Body from top to bottom..

He would do it in this case too.. just watch!!
Politics › Re: ‘Even The Prophets Went To Prison’ – Sirika Comforts Himself In Court by Kelklein(m): 9:32pm On May 09, 2024
He was waving at the crowd when he came to court.. because he knew that the billions he stole (that's the one that they caught him o - the unknown ones are gone) would be enough to hire SANs and bribe the judges heavily.. then the case would drag for like 12 years after which the prosecutors, out of frustration would make a no-case submission. We have seen it happen so repeatedly..

This is not how to fight corruption.

I am an advocate of Death sentence for corrupt individuals, at least on paper to scare and deter some people from stealing Or misappropriating public money..
Or life imprisonment if convicted, or get them to return times 10 what they have stolen..

With the way the Judiciary is helping to paper over corrupt cases like this, we won't make any meaningful progress fa..🤔🤔
Politics › Re: IMF to FG: Scale Up Cash Transfers To Poor Nigerians by Kelklein(m): 9:03pm On May 09, 2024
At least Buhari was giving npower people money 30k almost throughout his tenure.. even though some of his social safety net programmes were cover for stealing public money

But by the way, while IMF canvasses for the removal of what they called Implicit fuel subsidy, in their history of giving advice, I have never seen where they advised government officials to stop stealing public funds.. even when it was clear that the casj transfer they advocate is not getting to the target poor.

Or they want to pretend that they don't know that a minster is this country was feeding school children in school while they were on lockdown in their parents' houses. 🤔🤔
Travel › Re: The deplorable state of some Roads In Nigeria (video/pictures) by Kelklein(m):
I have lived in Nigeria for more than 30 years, that's all my life tho..lol
Nothing can wow me again... actually I am wowed when the government mistakenly do the right thing one day..

It just seems as if the so-called leaders take delight in doing only the wrong things (someone said it is in doing the wrong things that they can have more to steal)

Most of these roads have been appearing in the National Budget for the past 20 years.. but for some selfish corrupt reasons, they can't be done or completed.. a classical example is the Abaji-Lokoja road..

Nigeria would start to turn around the day we make death sentence or life imprisonment as punishment for stealing public funds meant for development.. nobody would be killed tho but it would as least bring some sanity and serve as deterrent from this senseless stealing of our common wealth..🤔🤔

As late former president Yar'Adua once said, these are extreme measures but the situation in Nigeria requires extreme measures to tackle..

Or if they should make it a law that if you are caught stealing one million naira, you would be made to return 10million to the State.. that would also serve as a deterrent. People would apply government money to what it is meant for..

What we have right now is that they would steal enough money and use part of same to secure SANs and bribe judges heavily when called to account.. the one that came to court today was even waving at his fans..🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️

Politics › Re: Shuaibu Abubakar-Audu: Nigeria Needs Over $2bn To Revive Ajaokuta Steel Plant by Kelklein(m):
That's only about 2.5 trillion naira.. That's the money one year of collecting Cybersecurity levy can give to this country to repair the Steel plant.. but this is Nigeria, they would still steal that money dry..

Let the same person that said 'Subsidy is gone' eat his humble pie and use the same courage to say 'subsidy is back' on May 29th.. then also courageously return fuel to 200/L and dollar to N360..

Whatever it is they have done has not worked for the masses for one year.. it has only worked for their pockets..

Abeg o come and explain this 0.005 thing because I don't know maths like that ..
Actually 0.5% of, say x means 0.5/100 of x = 0.005 of x

They deliberately avoided using 0.5% in the bill.. they used 0.005 instead without percentage... same but decietful!!

Politics › Re: Donald Duke And Ben Murray Bruce Visit The Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road (Pictures) by Kelklein(m):
Connecting the standard guage of the railways from the North to the South would have been a better and greater infrastructural wonder of our time.. in that way, foods, Cargo, fuel and persons would be transported cheaper from the North to the South and vice versa.. a very quick win that would have been.. just link the Itakpe station to Abuja station..

But understandably everyone wants to embark on projects not for National interest but for prioritized personal interest..

The second Naija bridge was one of the legacy projects of the last administration.. that administration didn't award the contarct to a company they had vested interest but instead followed due process in the award, even though you can't completely eliminate vested interest in Nigeria's procurement processes. That presidential initiative project got a national buy-in and everyone can see the results today. Time would tell how this one would pan out.
Politics › Re: Bayo Onanuga Deletes Twitter Post On Cyber Security Levy After He Made Blunder by Kelklein(m):
This is wrong by any standard..

This is pure theft..

This cannot be acceptable by any sane mind..

They are always quick to compare Nigeria with other countries.. pls they should show us a country doing this to its citizens..

This is insane..!!

That 0.005 was a deceit used by the propounder of the Bill to get approval from the National Assembly. It's a mathematical trick and deceit. For clarity, they should have stated if it was a percentage, a ratio, a rate or a fraction.. they didn't do that deliberately because there was scam intended. The intent was to bamboozle the Legislatures, I'm sure most of them are just getting aware of this as well..

Asking the citizens to part with 25k to secure a transaction of 5 million is pure theft.. nothing wey you go tell me.. even 1k is still theft. That Act is antipeople and needs to be reviewed urgently.. those that did it were simply being crooked.. nowhere in the world it can be accepted..

Somebody's hard earned money being stolen in that manner..
