Please leave the poor teachers out of this.. The state governors should be called out 💯💢 for the rot in the Secondary Education and in extension the primary education systems across the country.. The Governors pay these teachers next to peanuts (that is those that even agreed to employ some decent numbers of teachers in the first place).. the primary school ones under the comatose Local Government (thanks to the state governors stealing their money) don't even have the privilege of being paid peanuts... how do you expect the products of these rotten systems to turn out.. Primary and Secondary Education systems in Nigeria need a state of Emergency declaration.. We would have that discussion when we are ready.. I want to use this opportunity to appeal to the Nigerian C-in-C, call all the governors like Oshiomole recounted, at least call those in your party if you can't call all of them. Appeal to them to stop stealing local government money. Appeal to them to invest more in the local grassroot in terms of primary education, primary healthcare and Agriculture.. these three done at the graasroot are capable of turning around the fortunes of our country as the three have security dimensions to them.. Let's for God sake put the people first in reality.. let those concerned get serious with governance 🤔🤔 6 Likes |

Tomorrow they would say people are trying to sabotage them.. Whereas they are the biggest saboteur of themselves.. Was it saboteurs that said 'Subsidy is gone..' without any plan on ground.. See what Custom is doing for crying out loud.. changing fx rate for duty everyday as if they are running business.. what does it take for the government of the day to direct Customs to fix its rate at say 950-1000 and maintain that no matter what..(remember there was a benchmark rate that was in the budget for year 2024.. all economic planning for the year is supposed to follow that benchmark)...that alone would bring a little stability to the economy.. Jumping the rate up and down is the biggest destabiliser to the economy and government pretends like they don't know.. Why would a government be doing this to itself and in the end, it accuses saboteur and everyone else but itself for the damaged economy.. No need for written agreement.. Since he said 50/50, then tell him you would give him 50% of the agreed fees, when the work is completed ok.. you pay the remaining 50%.. If he requires more money after the initial 50% payment, he has to source it by himself.. |

This one na dilemma o.. you can't stay in your party, you can't join APC.. For those still in doubt that Nigerian parties don't have ideologies, this is your evidence. APC/PDP are one and the same.. dangerous for democracy.. He should consider crosscarpetting to LP, a party that also needs to put its act together. We can't continue like this. |

The money one politician (esp a governor) would launder from his state to pay his children's school fees for life and hide the remaining in the School's account is enough to buy 10 MRI machines, and more.. Nigeria is generally flawed (I hate to call it a joke). We run a system that ensures that things like this continue to elude us.. The powerful rulers (and weaker institutions) we have created haven't help the country and things would only get south from here.. Ok.. from your review.. SLTV is simply re-transmitting DStv.. or let's say streaming it from their end for their customers to hook on to... How is that even legal.. It is clear they haven't got their business system right esp in terms of customer service and I don't think it's worth the trouble.. My advice to them is to create their own original names and channels and bid for broadcast rights like other tvs do.. because if DSTv eventually wins the legal tussle, which they would, they would pay damages in multiples. The truth is that IPMAN got a hint that there would be a slight review of PMS price by May 1st esp with planned Dangote and PH Refineries also coming on stream... so most of them especially the major marketers stopped loading or are buying less.. because nobody wants to buy the higher-priced fuel and be stuck with it when the price review happens.. NNPC which made itself a sole importer hasn't help issues as well.. always irrespónsible and inefficient. Everyone just looks for the slightest opportunity to punish poor Nigerians.. when things like this happen, you start hearing different stories because those that are supposed to set the records straight are not doing that for God knows why.. we even still heard last week that it's because NNPC account number for payment was inactive.. different stories 15 Likes 3 Shares |

This was the same thing the Buhari government did.. keep everyone in the dark, then let them know the state of things at the tail end of the tenure.. These are the governors you want to give State Police.. see what they are doing with State Electoral Commission (SIEC).. The only way to get sanity in Local elections is to allow INEC conduct all elections.. but then, the work would be too much for INEC. SIEC is actually a very loft idea to reduce the workload of INEC but the governors have captured it for selfish gains. The only governor who has ever given SIEC freedom to carry out their function was ElRufai when he was governor, the level playing ground he provided during the Local Election allowed the opposition PDP to win some Local Governments and plenty of Councillorship positions.. that was a deed worthy of emulation... but maybe in this country we deserve the crude leadership we get because we don't appreciate good things and people .. |

Truth be told.. in terms of road, what Wike has done in 8months wasn't done in 8 years by the Previous Bello.. not even upto half.. Wike brought back Physical governance and infrastructural development to the FCT.. the previous people just left everyone assuming while they steal money.. the last time FCT see this kind of work was during the ElRufai era..
