now it's easy to see the pressure they placed and still place on the Naira.. the ruling elite should just take it easy..

This is not patriotism..
Education › Re: Northern Governors In America For Meeting by Kelklein(m): 10:01pm On Apr 26, 2024
You would think that they would be sensible enough to see some of the decent developmental strides over there and come and replicate it in their home states but no, they have sworn for them to just be stealing money..🤔🤔
Business › Re: Naira Maintains Steady Falls As Speculators Scoop Dollars by Kelklein(m): 9:43pm On Apr 26, 2024
This Naira sef.. when it wants to fall, it can lose N300 in 2 days.. but if it is to gain, it would gain N5 in one month.. na wa 🤔

I remember shouting my lungs out that these thing should not be left to CBN alone.. the fiscal people should come hard with their own policies too to help the Naira..

they should be seen engaging in productive activities, supporting the private sectors and industries, MSMEs, discouraging oil theft, drive up ease-of-doing business, know what is happening in the mining sector, revamp the steel sector...

these are the real sectors that would drive up growth and contribute to GDP.. but no, everyone is just busy doing nothing, waiting for oil money..
Politics › Re: Yahaya Bello: FG, EFCC Challenged To Publish Their 8-Year Financial Reports by Kelklein(m):
which one be 'many citizens are calling on FG & EFCC..'

I think these are just figments of imagination of the op above..

Someone once pointed to the fact that, that op could be a handle of Reno on Nairaland. I am beginning to see a correlation from the writing style..

These are attempts to smudge together totally unrelated issues.. let those called to accountability go and clear their names..
all these tales by moonlight do not amount to accountability..

Did the governor use state funds to pay for his children school fees in Dollars and even paid extra or not, intentionally?!?! Does that amount to Money Laundering or not?!..
Crime › Re: Halimat Tajudeen Goes Missing After She Was Sent To The Bank (Photo) by Kelklein(m):
I think she's too young to be sent out alone unaccompanied.. especially for such an official errand that would require her to spend hours.. If you are going to Nigerian Banks, you have to prepare like 5hrs that you are not using that you would spend there.

Pray she returns safely because these are really perilous times in this country..
Politics › Re: Honour EFCC Invitation While You Have The Chance - Natasha Tells Yahaya Bello by Kelklein(m): 11:16am On Apr 26, 2024
Nigerian politicians only want that aspect of the law that give them access to Public Funds in trust for the people... they don't want the part where they have to be accountable for those funds..

Greèdy and wícked lots 🤔

Crime › Re: Was Scammed By A Nairalander Papalsayer by Kelklein(m): 9:23pm On Apr 25, 2024
Hope you have learnt a lesson. Don't send money to people that advertise product as a topic.. you all mistaken it for Nairaland ads. Ads are different. The owners of the platform know how to get people that scam via the official ads so scammers dont even go there.. they use the topic and wait for a victim.

I'm thinking the guy might even be selling the items for real (not by himself but via affiliate marketing). You know those people that post pictures of items then when you show interest and make payment, they would go and buy you the item from the real sellers and take their profit.. but the way you played easily into his hand, his criminal instinct took over. He decided no point even going to get the items for you.

This has happened countless times here.. if you have to buy anything from a posted topic, use eschrow services.. that is, get someone you know in that city or nearby to help you receive it and send to you..

Stop sending strangers your money. It is foolishness to trust someone you never met, or that is not known by somebody you know.

Christianity Etc › Re: Who Is Allah's Partner In Sura 5:46? by Kelklein(m): 6:18pm On Apr 25, 2024
all of the messages in the Quran were revealed to Prophet Muhammed (Peace Be Upon Him) via angel Gabriel..

The 'We' used means God the Supreme who sent the messages and the host of angels who delivered the messages.

The 'We' doesn't mean we as in partner..

According to some scholars,
In Surah 5:46 of the Quran, the use of "We" in reference to God is a form of the royal or majestic "We" commonly found in classical Arabic. This usage is known as the "royal We" or "majestic We" and is used to denote power, authority, and grandeur. It does not imply plurality in the case of God, as in monotheistic beliefs, Allah is considered to be One and indivisible. The use of "We" in the Quran when referring to God is a linguistic feature that conveys the greatness and majesty of God in Arabic.
Travel › Re: Recommend An African Country To Visit by Kelklein(m):
why is everyone saying Visit Rwanda..

Anyways that's how you know a serious country.. i love what they have done with Rwanda in recent times.. global positioning, Peace promotion, Excellent National culture, deepening diplomatic ties, etc

I know one cóuntry like that, that can't even as little as count how many citizens it has.. most 18 -20yr old young people in that country have never experienced Census..the last census it did was close to 20 years ago.. how do you even want to plan?! 🤔

diplomats and foreign nationals enjoy alot of privileges here.. because Nigerians are naturally very hospitable people.

Same can't be said of those people in their own countries. If this same thing had happen over there, their people would first cause some damages and injuries before any intervention and get away with it.

This is very worthy of commendation.. the work that was done on that road..

It has cut down the Journey from Abuja to Makurdi from 6 hours to less than 4hours..

Tho I understand it was a concessionary project, I have some resevations about the 4 Tollgates along the stretch.. I hope it won't be exploitative in the end..🤔🤔
Family › Re: Father And Son Dead While Attempting To Take A Cellphone Out Of A Pit Latrine by Kelklein(m): 5:56pm On Apr 22, 2024
Died of ignorance..

Ammonia poisoning.. 'soakaway' and sewages have very heavy ammonia built up.. the air around and inside the latrine pit have little or no oxygen in it.. hence you can only survive in their for as long as you can hold your breathe..

The first person should have let the phone go. Now his ignorance has led to the death of himself and 2 others.

That is obviously a falcon. It hunts other birds and feeds on them. Like dove and full grown hen
Falcon's beaks are very sharp and not as curved as this..

Looks more like a hawk to me, esp with those sharp claws as described by the op..
Politics › Re: EFCC’S Suit To Arrest Yahaya Bello Fails At Appeal Court by Kelklein(m): 5:20pm On Apr 22, 2024
Why not allow EFCC go ahead with the arrest.. then sue them for breach of your human rights against court order.

You could claim billions in damages..

are all these drama even necessary?!

*Just thinking out loud🤔🤔

Politics › Re: Lawyers Storm Supreme Court For Yahaya Bello, Hit EFCC by Kelklein(m): 5:06pm On Apr 22, 2024
Nigeria is a very interesting place..

Everytime there is an issue to be addressed, you would see one Civil Society Organisation with a very interesting name pops out from nowhere.. after that incident, you won't here about them again.. Till another incidents where another new name would pop out..

Politics › Re: Bello: World Bank's Transparency Awards vs EFCC, Reality of Nigeria's Politics by Kelklein(m): 4:50pm On Apr 22, 2024
Safyqueen:
Is that the reason the case filed when Bello was just three months in office was quickly amended to include him forgetting that the amount involved is beyond what he could stole at that time?

Though not speaking for Bello, but why can't EFCC be lawful on their discharge of duties?

So you mean an NDLEA officer who confiscate drug can snif or sell while on duty to catch another offender?

Or a law officer can trampled on the law while enforcing the law?

Please let's be reasonable, you may not like Yahaya Bello likewise me but if we support this EFCC grandstanding and selective treatment, Yahaya Bello will defeat them later by law.
you have a point as well..

Look at my post again.. I didn't even mention the name of the Kogi former governor.. (actually i hardly mention any individual name in all of my posts). I just speak to the general issues and move..

But honestly, the recklessness people in power in Nigeria exhibit is mind-boggling.
It's almost to the point of insanity.. when someone whose assets and businesses were not worth upto 200m before becoming governor suddenly owns over 50billion in assets after 8 years of governing a state.. no naaa.

Like i said, I didnt mention any names.
Politics › Re: BDC Operator, Abubakar Mannir, Defrauds Indian Businessman Of $737,000 by Kelklein(m): 1:47pm On Apr 22, 2024
Scammers always capitalize on your greed to scam you..

Instead of approaching the bank to do his transactions, he decided to use a BDC so that he can get a higher rate.. see the result now🤔

If not that criminality is criminality and cannot be allow no matter what, I would have advised the police to allow him carry his cross..

Lol.. granting sponsored interviews is one of the ways people announce their availability for appointment.. esp when they think they haven't been noticed, or need to remind the leader, of their Campaign group and the role they played during election..

The fact is...Most of the assertions by these praise-singing appointment aspirants are not correlating with the reality on ground.
Politics › Re: Bello: World Bank's Transparency Awards vs EFCC, Reality of Nigeria's Politics by Kelklein(m):
In as much the writer of this piece is entitled to his opinion, one must point out the emptiness in his submissions..

First, the World Bank and the EFCC are two different divergent bodies whose responsibilities are different..

While the EFCC's mandate is to investigate financial crimes and prosecute alleged criminals, the World Bank's chief role is to provide financial and technical supports to countries (esp developing countries) in order to achieve stability.

If you like, steal your state dry, it is none of the World Bank's business, just like the IMF.. Have you ever seen where the IMF or World Bank advises the Nigerian Government officials to stop stealing the country's money?! It's none of their business. Rather they would be glad to lend you more funds to steal. It's your debt.

It's like you having a company and you go to GTB to lend you money. Then one day GTB decides to pay you a courtesy visit, you showed GTB your company's account statement. Afterwards, GTB gives you an award for being financially transparent. You see, it's none of their business what you do with your funds, or how you decide to appropriate it, or even worse still, steal it like they do here. The business of the lender is to give you money and have their money back as agreed.

So comparing the kangaroo awards procured by some state government (those who do awards understand this) with EFCC carrying out its core responsibilities does not hold any waters.

Let's learn to call a spade a spade.
