bracelum: I offer a high-quality and exclusive service with a specific target market. My target market is not all students. I have seen your profile and you're not a target customer for me.
Abi, you don ever see where them advertise Buggati, Lambhorgini or Ferrari for radio and TV?
Never mind. Okay then |

Aaah!, what background checks o, if its through my posts you went through I dunno what u saw sha, what target market? Cos I can tell you that I'm an intending student for the 2020 session.. Who else is ur target if not that? |

If I know someone I can ask about bank Statement but it contradicts the name I put on the application form...wouldn't it affect my chances? Soa is statement of account or bank statement |

bracelum: I'll recommend you get a PhD for three reasons;
1. An MBA does not really train you to become an entrepreneur but it trains you to become a business manager or leader. Both roles are very different. Now, it will be best you get a PhD in that field and acquire expert knowledge on that field. Then, you can enroll in one of the many entrepreneurship incubators like Y Combinator. Those incubators will give you expert knowledge and access to investment than an MBA would do. A lot of top startups like Dropbox, Airbnb, Stripe, Coinbase, DoorDash, Reddit, Instacart etc are all alumni of Y Combinator.
Then when you start your company, you can hire an MBA to manage the business side of the firm (finance, operations, marketing) while you will focus on the main technical side of the business.
2. An MBA is expensive while a PhD is free. You don't want to go the entrepreneurship route when you've not really gotten back the investment you made on your MBA. A few people take the entrepreneurship route after an MBA, but most of them are OBOs or self-made millionaires already.
3. PhD gives you enough time to perfect your business strategy. An MBA is two years and very rigorous. You won't have enough time to think about your business. But PhD is 5 years and from my conversations with several PhDs, I've discovered that they have enough free time to pursue other interests. So, you can use that free time to attend entrepreneurship events, network, meet potential investors and perfect your business plan.
For these three reasons, I vote in favor of a PhD. But be prepared to pay very well to hire an MBA that will manage your business. Hiring a talented MBA graduate is not cheap at all
But once you have the right funding from investors, that will not be a problem. Thanks for this....no worry I go pay minimum wage |

Johnkay101: Go and sit down, it makes 100% sense to me. It's public forum and not a secret. Even V.O knows that and that's the reason some don't get the visa. 70% of those using Uncle as sponsor, those Uncles will never release the funds for studies. But if you have sure plans to fund your studies and not be out of studies, i will encourage those people and not backlash them. This makes me know that u know what u are talking about and would still do it anyway, the number of uncles and Aunty's is cause of concern...cos d vo knows we didn't just drop from the sky....hence d denials....remember some of them would still get visas cos d VOs can't deny everybody....but dey can deny a whole lot of people .... |

Johnkay101: In as much as you contribute to this thread, you need to change the tone of your message. Just because you have made it in America doesn't mean you should spit on others face. Some want to leave and get a better life, blame it on the country and not on the individuals seeking better life. Some just want to use their uncles Statement, obtain visa and hustle over there to pay the tuition fees. I know someone who transferred to a community college and have been hustling and paying his fees. Everyone wants a better life, you too are grateful that your children will not face what is obtainable in this zoo, same as what others want. You can advice people but please change the tone of your message. Leave the tone abeg...anyone dat disagrees with all of una....next thing is "change tone" ...its a lap dog dat will be swallowing whatever u say hook line and sinker una dey always want |

TWoods: I am a christian... but i am tired of reading this demonstrably false acknowledging of "God" anytime we obtain immigration benefits the rest of the world takes for granted. Yours is a profile i have seen all too often - well prepared, going for degrees that are in line with their previous degrees, good grades, and best of all - proof of full funding from a well respected US school. Except for rare cases, people with these profiles typically get their visas approved... without having to claim that it was all a miracle. You do others a disservice, rather than preparing hard like you've done, you perpetuate the Nigerian idea that all it takes is "miracles", even when presenting fraudulent documents at their visa interviews. I tot it was only me o,I was telling myself a while back...everyone who gets d visa always says miracle...but if d same pple don't, its not miracle ..... |

Johnolukolade: TOEFL and GRE are under the ETS company. This company usually give out discount vouchers to agencies that register a large number of applicants. That's why you don't see anyone register IELTS at subsidized rates. It's business and I don't think I'm permitted to explain beyond that. If you need the address, the offices are in Ikeja and Ibadan respectively.
You want actual info, PM me.
Bless. Okay thanks... |
